An Unforgettable opportunity to experience Barcelona, staying in a charming 17th century building once a palace. This Unique two bedroom two bath apartment has lots of history in it. It was renovated in 2009 by an extremely sensitive architect that mixed the old art of the building with comfortable areas (that are going to make your vacation very special). It has 4 m high ceilings with wood beams, stonewalls, hydraulic mosaic tiles.
The master bedroom is equipped with its own double rain shower and basin. The shower has lots of history - its walls are covered with a 100-year-old double wood door and it has a unique Murano glass lamp. The other bedroom keeps the original hydraulic floor, which is a true piece of art. There is an additional bathroom with its impressive shower located where once was the stone entrance of the palace. The NEW third additional bathroom has design toilet and washing hands basin (built in December 2011 with lots of style and avant-grade)
You also have your fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and first class electrical appliances. The living room can accommodate two extra people on its sofa bed. There is also a separate dining room with a Le Corbusier table that fits six people.

If you are looking for a convenient, easily accessible flat, near great restaurants, the Barcelona Cathedral and Las Ramblas, look no further. The flat is beautifully renovated, clean, tastefully decorated, quiet and safe. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Victor and Miguel! Before arriving we lost a wallet and our credit cards. Victor offered to have our new card mailed to him. It was waiting for us when we arrived. When we needed a printer for fast pass museum tickets, Miguel offered to print them at his house (same building) and bring our tickets to us. We felt like we had trusted friends in this grand beautiful city throughout our entire stay. This flat has been a highlight in our month adventure in Europe. We are 2 couples who spent 7 days in Barclona recently. Because our itinerary included a mid-trip week in Southern France, we had the opportunity to stay in both of Victor's flats on Sant Pere mes Baix, upper (449548) at the beginning and lower (227077) at the end of our Barcelona visit. Both units were clean, well-equipped and as represented in VRBO photos and description. Both were beautifully updated to modern standards but with great respect for their historic architectural features. We found the upper unit's bathroom set-up and bedroom sizes preferable for our needs but, had the weather been warmer, we might have preferred the option of the outdoor terrace that the lower unit provided. The location could not be beat. The uniyd are just 2 minutes from La Seu in the heart of the city's oldest area, and a 5 min. walk from the metro hub of Placa Catalunya. They are also a comfortable walk to Gaudi's Casas Batllo and Mila and to Palau Guell. Email response from Victor to our many questions was immediate and the two tours we took with his father, Miguel, were an informative and enjoyable use of our time. Miguel's passion for the city's heritage is infectious. We certainly had the impression that father and son were willing to do all in their power to make sure that we enjoyed our visit. We loved so many things about the city but the National Museum's collection of Romanesque apse art from abandonnned churches in the Catalan Pyrenees was certainly an unforgettable highlight as well as discovering the Jaume Huguet altarpiece in a silently empty St. Agata's Church. One week was not nearly enough time to spend in this beautiful city.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Excellent location and very well done decor. All the amenities and more were available in this beautiful resrtored flat. I was traveling alone and always felt very safe and loved the easy access to the old city. Victor and his family went out of there way to make me feel at home and provided me with so much information they could open there own travel service. I manage a luxury boutique hotel and I would rate both the property and service five stars.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

This pleasant apartment is perfectly located for an exploration of Barcelona. It is located on the edge of the Gothic Quarter, Many of the places that any visitor would seek to visit are within easy walking distance. It is only a 10 minute walk to Metro lines. Restaurants are close by. In 8 nights, we took a cab only to one and walked to the rest. The owner, Victor, and his father, Miguel, are wonderful. We took a tour with Miguel, which lasted three hours and covered many of the important sites, to which we later returned. Miguel has an encyclopedic memory and is very charming, to boot. We were very satisfied.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Without a doubt, one of the finest apartment i have stayed during my holiday, the photos accurately descript the lovely apartment, the location was within walking distances to lots of attraction and very centralised. There is also a convenience store below the apartment. We are greatly impressed with this apartment and would highly recommend it to any travelers who visit barcelona. A highlight of our trip to Barcelona was Apartment #227077 and the great personal attention the owners provided. We were newcomers to the great city of Barcelona and had no idea that the location of this very comfortable flat was perfect for our interests—and provided plenty of space for two couples to live comfortably for a week. Within a five to ten minute walk were: Plau de la Musica Catalana (we saw amazing flamenco dancing), La Rambla and the Mercat de La Boqueria, the Barcelona Cathedral and a wonderful weekend market in the square, the Roman ruins maintained in Museu d’Historica de Barcelona, and the bus stop for the two tours of the city from which we could jump on-and-off for museums and restaurants we wanted to visit. Realtors tout “location, location, location” as the critical considerations in their business. We found that phrase true for our visit as each day it was pleasant to return to #227077 to relax a bit over wine and cheese before departing to one of the excellent restaurants the owners had recommended.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car.

Four of us (2 couples) enjoyed 7 days in this clean, renovated, modern and extremely comfortable apartment. Location was perfect in the block adjacent to Palau Musica..in the heart of the city within walking distance of everything. Fabulous restaurants within steps such as El Bixto, and the Santa Caterina Market's restaurant. Even the ocean is just a 20 min. walk away through the delightful El Born area or a 30 minute stroll via The Ramblas. The owners Victor and his father Miguel were excellent to deal with, from the time of booking our reservation through our entire stay. We will definitely return someday.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
