My husband and I just recently traveled with my parents. Before our cruise we decided to rent an apartment for 4 nights, and I'm SO HAPPY that we discovered this place. This was the best decision we made on our vacation! The apartment is stylist, clean, and centrally located. And the best part are the owners! Their warm hospitality made a great experience for us. Thank you Victor and Miguel for making our stay so special. We can't wait to come back! :)

A nice week in Barcelona

We met our daughter who was doing a study abroad in Spain at this flat and stayed 5 nights. It was very pleasant. It is owned by a local family, and the dad Miquel met us the afternoon we arrived and showed us the specifics of the unit and building. The property is clean, well maintained, and is in a great location. We felt very safe as the property is in a busy area with lots of walking traffic. The double windows make a big difference in terms of street noise from the nearby Via Laetana- barely heard a thing inside the unit. Lots of restaurants and sights to see within easy walking distance. We did a Gothic quarter walking tour with Miquel the morning after arrival which was very helpful as we continued to explore the rest of the week. The pictures are accurate in terms of the appearance of the flat.

Owner response:Dear Jeff, Thanks for your nice comment. We improved the sound isolation last year and the result is great. When we first refurbish the flat our intention was to leave the Old interesting architectonic features and make it a comfortable space. Thats why we left the original wood window frames that are more than 100 Years Old. We clean the wood and repainted again and we also change the glass for a soundproof one. However as Barcelona is vibrant city We still had some noise that could get into the flat. We consult an expert and he recommended us to put an outside aluminum soundproof windows. That allowed us to keep the nice wood frames and have top sound isolation. The flat is on walking distance to the main highlights of Barcelona and its ideal for a visit to the city. I am very proud of My dad and my mom. They are working very hard to give the best service to our guests. My dad do the check ins but he likes to give all the information. Its not a regular check in but a full explanation of places to visit and an orientation to the city of Barcelona. Any question you have will be answered by my dad. I encourage to take a walking tour with him as its amazing to hear the stories that are behind each building. My mom takes care that the apartment is perfect for your arrival. She checks everything with the cleaning lady so all is set when you arrive. We are very happy that you had such a nice vacation meeting your daughter here. We send you lots of greetings!! My family and I stayed in this lovely apartment while visiting my daughter who is studying in Barcelona. The apartment is very comfortable, quiet, and beautifully decorated. The location is perfect, walking distance to all the sites. Victor and Miguel have thought of everything. Miguel, who greeted us was charming, and extremely knowledgeble on the history of Barcelona, and Victor was very helpful prior to our arrival. I would highly recommend this apartment.

A Delightful Experience

We thoroughly enjoyed Victor and Miguel's flat in Barcelona. Miguel met us at the taxi stop and welcomed us to the apartment with a tour and explanation of how to use the appliances. He was very informative about the neighborhood as well. We stayed with another couple and found the flat roomy and comfortable. With two bathrooms, there is plenty of privacy. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking meals, and there are wonderful markets very close by for picking up fresh produce and fish. The flat is historically beautiful and has been renovated with modern conveniences to make it very comfortable. It was well stocked with linens and supplies. The flat is very clean and elegantly decorated. There are maps and a notebook of area restaurants that were very helpful. Although located in a busy area, the flat is very quiet. It is also very close to city bus and tour bus entrances. The neighborhood is packed with great sightseeing and shopping. We enjoyed a visit from Victor during our stay, and he gave us suggestions and directions for activites and restaurants. Victor also answered questions for us via email and was extremely helpful. It is obvious that Victor, Miguel and Angeles want to make their guests comfortable and make sure they have a great experience. We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely recommend the flat! Thanks again to Victor and Miguel for their hospitality!!

Exceeded Expectations

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful flat along with another couple over Christmas, 2011. This vacation was the first time we used vrbo and we were thoroughly pleased with our experience! Victor was very helpful from the beginning in answering questions prior to booking as well as orienting our friends' taxi driver over the phone who got lost on the way from the airport. The flat is beautiful and the owners have taken great care to maintain the historical integrity while providing guests with all the amenities to make this a very comfortable home. We were blown away with how stunning this property is! The tour provided by Miguel gave us a wonderful introduction to Barcelona's history and the neighborhoods surrounding the flat. It was a great way to get oriented to the city! The flat is located just a few blocks from the Urquinaona Metro stop, the Palau Musica Catalana (definitely see a concert there), a short walk from Las Ramblas, Mercat de Santa Caterina and Mercat de la Boqueria. There is a great convenience store one door away that has basic food supplies for cooking light meals and several wonderful restaurants within walking distance. We really appreciated having the notebook with business cards of area restaurants with cuisine and pricing information that was provided at the flat--we used it several times to plan our meals out. We also really enjoyed the two bottles of red wine we ordered. The owners take great pride in providing renters with a world class rental property. It's clear that they read the reviews and make ongoing adjustments to improve the property when needed. The recent addition of an extra bathroom was great! I noticed in some of the other reviews, renters commented about being able to hear noise inside the flat from the street. The noise is not atypical for city living and we didn't find it disruptive. I recommend this flat for rental without hesitation. You will love it!

My husband and I and another couple have just returned from a 3 week European Vacation which included Barcelona. From our decision to stay at this flat we were in constant communication with Victor. He answered all questions which such patience and understanding since we had never stayed in an VRBO property. When we arrived in Barcelona, Miguel was waiting for us at the apartment. Such a charming man and he put us at ease right away. I was a little tired from our flight into Barcelona and Miguel carried my heavy luggage all the way up to the apartment. What a gentleman. The apartment is beautiful and full of history, just as other reviews have mentioned. I won't repeat what they said, but I do admit that the beautiful bowl of fruit was a welcome treat for our hungry group. We had a birthday to celebrate and Miguel picked up a very tasty cake at a local pastry shop. Can you say "personal service". We also took the walking tour of the Gothic Quarter and neighborhood with Miguel. Wow...this man is knowledgeable. The apartment is in a very safe area and with plenty of things to do at your door step. If you are visiting Barcelona, you will not be disappointed.

Fabulous location and stunning accommodations

We stayed (2 couples + 1 additional friend) for a full week at this wonderful flat in the heart of it all. We would have been completely content to just stay in the apartment--that's how comfortable it was! However, we ventured out and are so glad that we did! Within short walking distance are terrific restaurants, a great market, the Palau de la Musica Catalana (don't just take a tour--see a performance; we saw two!), and fantastic museums. The owners are a terrific resource, and offer a splendid wine list. We cannot wait to return to Barcelona, and will undoubtedly stay at the same place.

My wife and I spent 5 wonderful days in Barcelona in October,2011. This apartment is in a GREAT location and the apartment itself is superb. We were given a tour of the neighborhood by Victor who pointed out all the best places to shop and see. The apartment has been totally remodeled with state of the art applicances, great beds and a location that has perfect access to the places you'll most want to visit. We'll be staying here the next time we come to Barcelona.

First Rate Apartment

I cannot say enough good things about Victor and MIguel's apartment. The Father and Son team really knocked it out of the park. There are plenty of reviews of this apartment that correctly document all the fabulous features. The apartment is filled with high-end fixtures and finishes, no short cuts here. I wanted to add that the personal service of Miguel and Victor really set this place apart. We have stayed in a few "homeaway" rentals in Europe, and have enjoyed them all. The one thing that Victor supplies that none of the others do is personal attention. Even though we were only there for three days, he contacted us (unobtrusively through e-mail) to make sure we did not need anything. He made a restaurant reservation for me and also lined up a taxi for the airport. All this was done quickly and efficiently. Also, if you are a fan of architecture, don't miss Miguel's (Victor's Dad) tour of the area. I can't believe that anyone knows more about the history and beauty of this area than Miguel. He is a true gentleman with a passion for the area. Thank you for making our stay in Barcelona exceptional.

This apartment is so peaceful and quiet especially after a busy day being a tourist. It has all the amenities one needs to be very comfortable. The outdoor patio is a nice surprise in the middle of the city. This flat has been renovated so that it's retained both the old and new world charm. We're a family of four and stayed for 7 nights in August and had a great time. The location is a few hundred feet from the beautiful Palau Musica Catalana and an easy walk to all sites to visit. Apt was large enough for us all and has a nice private balcony in the back. Apt is clean and modern inside with all amenities & full kitchen - but with so manyl restaurants nearby you'll likely eat out all the time (like we did). Miguel, the owner, has an optional tour, which we took our first day and it provided us with a great overview of sites to see and helped us get our bearings and plan what to see over our week. Thanks again Miguel! We would fully recommend this apt.

Perfect Location, Very safe and close to everything. Perfect for a family traveling together. We didn't meet Victor but he was exceptional through email contact. Miguel was a sweetheart and explained all we need to know about the apartment and the area. We had a great week and got to see alot of Barcelona thanks to the apartment being so central. If your a walker everything is walkable if not transportation is minutes away. There is Air-conditioning but only in the dining area and the living room, kitchen area. It works well but there is no air conditioning in the bedrooms so you need to keep your bedroom doors open and that means no privacy for either bedroom. There is only one small full bathroom outside the 2 bedrooms meaning only one toilet in the apartment. Again because there is only one toilet and both bedrooms share it there is very little privacy. The Master Bedroom does not have a toilet but does have its own shower and sink. Thank you Victor and Miguel for all your information and for being such nice people. It was a pleasure doing business with you.

Regarding the Air conditioning the two machines at the flat are very powerful. The interior designer and architect decided its location so it could properly distribute the cold in all the rooms. The apartment ventilation is very efficient due to its orientation with windows in both sides and also due to its construction with very thick walls (60 cm=24 inch) that keeps the apartment cold during summer and warm during winter. The architect decided to have a master room with comfort and avant-garde. There is a double glass cabin with rain shower, whose rear side is a double-leaf wood door with its original wrought iron hinges and lock, over 100 years old, on which six coats of marine varnish were applied for total waterproofing. And it also has a "cabinet" type washbasin with a big mirror. The room has 4 meters high ceilings with wooden beams and the architect didn't accept to have a "toilet" inside the room (we tried to convince him, but he said that we would definitely ruin the sense of the room). There is another bathroom with another shower, a cabinet and a toilet with a window. This second bathroom is done with corten steel. Only the structure took almost 3 months to be built. The location of this bathroom is where the old arch entrance of the building was in the past. After rebuilding the flat we discovered this stone arch and we decided to place there the shower there. Enjoyed Our Stay

We rented from June 9-12 and thoroughly enjoyed the apartment. Miguel and his wife greeted us. Miguel walked us through the apartment and showed us how everything worked. He then took us on an interesting walking tour. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and the location couldn't be beat. It was wonderful to have airconditioning that helped to drown out the outside noise. Whenever we had a question, Victor promptly replied. Victor arranged for our taxi to pick us up just outside the front door at 5:30 a.m., was very handy. It is probably good to know that while listed as two bathrooms, there is only one toilet. This wasn't a problem for us with a short stay. We still loved the decor and set up of the apartment.

We do not have any Bars or pubs below so the flat is quite in a calm area of the city but on walking distance to the most important sightseeing's. However as we like to give the best comfort and treat to our customers we are on the process of installing new soundproof windows. The apartment keeps the nice art pieces of the past like the wooden beams, stone walls, hydraulic tiles mosaic, 100 year old doors and that includes the amazing 3,5 meter windows at the master bedroom and 2,5 windows at the secondary bedroom. On the initial improving of the flat we change the glass of the windows for a soundproof one. However as the windows are made of wood some noise could not be perfectly isolated. Now after consulting with professionals. They recommend us to put an outside new soundproof window made of modern materials. That will provide perfect noise isolation while it will keep the piece of art inside windows. Thanks also for your comments on my dad s walking tour. As you said on your comment we call you for a taxi. We offer a concierge service. We are available for you so you do not have to worry but for enjoying your vacation. If you have to make a reservation at a restaurant or hire a taxi you just need to send us an email and we will do that for you and send you an email back. My family of 5 stayed in this flat late May 2011. Miguel met us at the apartment and spent a lot of time with us explaining details of flat and area. The apartment was in a great location on a very narrow, charming street. The flat had lots of charm itself. Very clean and well decorated. We have 3 children(ages 11,8 and 4). We thought one of our children could sleep on couch, but there were no extra sheets. No big deal, as our 4 year slept in the bed with us or her brothers. Would recommend owners to keep extra set of sheets in flat. :) There is noise with this flat. We were ok with that b/c it's a city so expected and we are all sound sleepers. We were also exhausted from travel, so sleep was easy. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. The noise is worth it though, fantastic stay. We can't remember name if Mexican restaurant, but great one close by (go to closest corner, take right and in right). My kids hated the food in Barcelona, so this was a great find!

That is why we are now on the process to install new soundproof windows. We will have them installed next July the 15th 2011. This improvement will give complete noise isolation. In addition to the 100 year old piece of art windows that are now at the flat we are installing an outside new windows so it isolates perfectly the noise. So now NO EAR PLUGS ARE NEEDED :))) Regarding the sheets we leave a pair of sheets under the convertible sofa. I will check with the cleaning lady though to see if she leave that as its mandatory. This property has a perfect location, closed to most important tourist targets. We stayed here in mid May for a week. Very secure apartment, well appointed and cared for. Located at the second floor, the street below could become noisy sometimes, but this detail is offset by the amenities generously offered: lots of space, terrace, full kitchen, fridge, wine cooler, dishwasher, washer, excellent location and price. Victor and Miguel had been always available for any questions, and they provided excellent advice whenever we needed one. We would definitely recommend this unit, and we would stay again if we had the chance.

Our stay in this flat was very enjoyable, it is tastefully decorated, spacious and convenient. It was our home away from home. The owners were fantastic, they made us feel at home, they were very informative and helpful with advice on places to visit, eateries, shopping, everything. They could not have been better hosts. The pictures of this flat do not do it justice! It is absolutely stunning. Exposed brick and beams and beautifully chosen decor. The flat is located in a perfect area of Barcelona, walking distance to two incredible markets (Mercat de Santa Caterina and La Boqueria on La Rambla), which make it very convenient to buy fresh produce, meat and seafood and prepare meals at the flat. Its also conveniently located to a number of historic sites that can not be missed while in Barcelona; Gaudi's Casa Batllo, Casa Mila, Sagrada Familila and walking distance to the seaside. Victor was incredibly helpful in preparation for our trip, providing detailed information on the area, preferred restaurants and directions to get to the flat via bus or taxi from the Airport. In addition, his Father, Miguel, provided a very detailed tour of the flat upon our arrival, which made our stay very enjoyable. Don't pass up the private tour with Miguel either, its a great way to get a very good feel of the area you are staying--best to take the tour early in your visit. They offer a Nespresso coffee maker option, don't pass this up if you are a coffee lover, it is something I looked forward to every morning!

Beautifully renovated and furnished apartment just a couple minutes walk to Santa Catarina market, Barcelona Cathedral, Palau de la Musica. A short stroll to Placa Catalunya and Las Ramblas. We loved staying here. The extremely narrow gothic street means you get some noise from people passing by so ear plugs are helpful if you are a light sleeper. Victor and Miguel were both incredibly welcoming and helpful with great recommendations. We highly recommend this property.

All the nice spots to visit are on walking distance such as Santa Caterina market, Palau de la Musica, Picasso museum, Las Ramblas or the Cathedral . We kept though the original wood frame windows because they are part of the history of the flat. We just returned from out trip to Barcelona and we stayed at this apartment. It was 4 people- 2 couples: which worked out perfectly b/c there were 2 big beds (most places we looked at only 1 one queen bed and twins). Miguel and Victor were very accommodating b/c I had a last minuted change. They were very understanding of my situation. The apartment is located in a central location: walking distance to a lot of attractions. There is a small grocery next door where you can buy water, snacks, etc. There are 2 cafes on the corner and many more down the blocks. We only took the cab once during our whole trip; only bc it was really late- otherwise, we walked everywhere- which we didnt mind at all b/c everything is so beautiful in Bcn. We also took the walking tour w/Miguel. it was great! he knew a lot about the history of Bcn and showed us many of the main attractions. the day after the tour we went back to revisit some of the sites. tip: many of the attractions are closes on Mondays. and yes it is true- locals eat dinner around 9 PM there. we just took a nap after our long day of sightseeing and went to dinner. This is a fantastic flat, PERFECTLY located in one of the world's most alluring cities... To addition to all the comments and praise previously posted, here are some random thoughts and recollections. > Communication was excellent in the booking process. Victor was incredibly helpful, accommodating and responsive on our last-minute reservation. Coordinating arrival at the apartment with Miguel was smooth and he was there as promised. > The nondescript building facade and entry completely belie the extreme sophistication of the apartment within. Once you open the gorgeous door and cross the threshold you are in another world! > Miguel gave a great orientation of the apartment, with detail of the unique architectural features with such obvious pride. > The design of the flat is a remarkable blend of historic and modern. All the antiquity and character has been retained and preserved in a most contemporary way. Just really the best of both worlds. > Appliances are absolutely top of the line. Though not always the most intuitive to use. > Linens, accessories and decor is consistently tasteful and of the highest quality. Architectural delights and surprises abound in every nook and corner. > The surrounding neighborhood is brimming with shops, cafes and wonderments of all kinds. One can simply wander and explore for days!! Now, for the very few imperfections... > We wished there would have been a way to play music (stereo system or an iPod dock). This seemed like a surprising omission when every other detail was considered. > We found the apartment a bit dark--but we were there in early February, and the sun just never rose high enough to get in the courtyard or the windows. > We had trouble with the wireless Internet, which meant we went without access for the first 36 hours. Miguel was "on task" as soon as we notified him and was diligent about communicating with the telecom until the problem was resolved, but it was a bit inconvenient. All in all, it is a fantastic rental in an outstanding location, well-served by caring owners. You will love it!!!!

After almost one year and a half refurbishing the unit we are fulfill with the work done by the architect and we appreciate when our customers have a good feelings at the flat. We tried to keep all the nice architectonical features like the wood beams and original wood doors. We gave a special importance to the showers. One showing where the original stone frame door entrance of the building was. The other one using a pair of 100 year old wood doors as the panel of the shower. We combine that with the most modern materials such as the cor-ten steel or the security glass. We will take your advise and will install an ipod/iphone dock so its possible to play music. Regarding the wi fi after speaking with our telecom they assumed the failure. It seams it was some internal problem that they solved after my dad contact them. As someone who has rented many apartments through VRBO, I can honestly say that this was the best. The apartment is nicer than the photos depict; a lot of attention has gone into the details, such as the lighting and the preservation of the apartmeny's history. The location could not be better and the attention from the owners was outstanding. Victor made dinner reservations for us and suggested a lovely day trip to the charming town of Sitges on New Years day. We spent a great week in Barcelona. Couldn't imagine a better way to get to know the city. We will highly recommend this apartment to our friends.

Barcelona during the Christmas season!

We have just finished a 5 day stay in this lovely, lovely apartment. Miguel met us right on the corner, helped with our luggage & explained everything we needed to know. The apartment is perfectly located. It absolutely could not be better! Breakfast at La Boqueria, Gothic Cathedral across the street, Picasso Museum and Music Palace a block a way. Our stay coincided with 2 national holidays & we enjoyed the crowds & festivities. The Christmas market was just across the street & we enjoyed each evening a stroll through there to view street musicians, families picking out Christmas tree's & did quite a bit of shopping ourselves. Taxi's, buses & the subway were all very easy to get from this location. We were very surprised at how quiet the apartment became once the city began to wind down at night. Miguel & Victor were both available to us when we had a medical emergency (broken ankle), & even checked back in with us to see if their family could be of more assistance. Hospitable, warm & caring people. On a side note, medical assistance at the Universidad Barcelona was impeccable. The photo's do not do this apartment justice. The dining table is actually an old antique wood table; long, beautiful drapes adorn the windows, & the little touches are astounding. Warm, wooden floors, comfortable, comfortable beds, lovely linens, towel warmers, wine, fruit, coffee, & washing machine. You will not find a hotel in the city this luxurious, with such accommodating concierge service anywhere near the price. Highly suggest taking the historical walking tour with Miguel. His knowledge of the city, the history, the architecture is amazing & it will help you to plan your days. Great wireless internet service, and mobile phone service in the location was excellent also. Fabulous restaurants nearby & posh drinking establishments a few blocks away. We have already recommended the apartment to two separate friends traveling this upcoming summer. Thank you Miguel & Victor. You helped to make our trip extra special.

Thanksgiving in Barcelona

We loved our stay in Barcelona in November 2010, made all the more special by this wonderful flat in the most well-situated location within La Ribera. Best little coffee and pastry shop around the corner. The Mercat Santa Caterina, Palau de la Música Catalana, and Els Quatre Gats - all walking distance and special memories!!! Cal Pep, Agua, and many other attractions and diversions a short and affordable taxi ride. After full days of sightseeing, concert-going, and dining, we appreciated the inviting apartment on Carrer de Sant Pere Més Baix. From the extra comfy living room, spacious and accommodating dining area, modern kitchen, and fabulous enclosed terrace, to Miguel and Victor's attention to detail and special handling of our arrival needs, we definitely recommend this property and only hope that a vacancy will have our name on it in the future!

We returned from a stay in your apartment recently. It was more than we expected. I don't think we could have had a more convenient location for sightseeing and shopping. Everything was much closer than we thought. The apartment was very tastefully appointed and spotless. Miquel was there to meet us upon our arrival and helped explain the workings of everything in the apartment. I was especially happy to see a washing machine. We were coming from a three day stay in New York and a 12 night East Med cruise. I would sit and study the apartment walls and woodwork and just try to imagine some of the history behind it. My only issue is that it tends to get noisy on the weekends so be prepared. I have told by friends that Barcelona is a beautiful city, now I can agree with them. If I'm fortunate to return to Barcelona, I will plan my trip around the availability of this apartment so I can stay there again. Miguel, I want to thank you again for the informative walking tour that you provided for us. You definately know your history of the city. Your english is excellent, by the way.

Perfect spot in Barcelona

We spent a week in Barcelona after very busy visits to London and Paris. This apartment was the perfect place to experience Barcelona. We spent lots of time relaxing on the terrace, peering out the balconies (at the passing parades as it was the long weekend for the city's patron saint), and slipping very easily into life in Barcelona. Very handy for the beach, lots of local attractions (which are much closer than they look on the map!), and for just wandering through the streets of this fascinating city. We either walked or took taxis everywhere - both very easy to do from the apartment. The local market, small shops (bakeries etc), and the wine shop (on Via Laietana) were superb. Apartment is better than the photos! Everything is thought of including the wine fridge which was well utilised during our stay. Having Miguel meet us and show us through the apartment was great. A fabulous place to unwind but also to explore the city from - has it all really!

We had a wonderful stay in the apartment. Firstly it was extremely well located in a beautiful atmospheric narrow street. Close to many restaurants, the market & with a very handy little supermarket right next door. The area seemed very safe & not noisy plus the beautiful shutters on the windows ensured the apartment was very quiet. The apartment itself was very elegant & spacious & extremely comfortable with everything you could require. The furnishings were all of really good quality & everything was very clean & worked properly.The kitchen was properly set up with salt & pepper & oil & enough dishwash & toiletpaper etc to last the whole time we were there. Our communications prior with the owner were very prompt & helpful. When we arrrived at the apartment his father was there to let us in & show us around & told us a little of the history of the apartment which we appreciated very much. I would strongly recommend this apartment & thought it was excellent value for our stay in Barcelona.

The apartment is beautiful and very centrally located near great restaurants and shops in the best area of Barcelona. We walked daily to Barceloneta and the beach, and rented bicycles which we locked at bike racks next to the apartment. Everything is super-convenient for groceries, coffee and restaurants all within 2 minutes of the apartment. Walk to the Mercat St. Josep/La Boqueria on Rambla de Sant Josep, load up on some nice Spanish wine (Lopez de Heredia which you can store in the convenient wine cooler in the kitchen), vegetables and meats, and enjoy! I would also recommend eating at one of the bars in this market. Often, we just brought food back to the apartment and ate on the terrace. Victor provided a great orientation of the apartment and local sights not to be missed. A short walk from the apartment, we enjoyed the shops and restaurants near the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar?.

Just back from Barcelona. Had a wonderful time. Miguel met us and gave us an introduction to the apt. and the surroundings. The apt. was well equipped and Victor was available when needed. Found a quaint bakery up the street, and went to the market for fresh fruits every day. The apt. was very central in the Bari Gotic district. Walking distance to Picasso museo, Palau musica, La Rambla. We even had time to rent bikes! Thank you for a wonderful holiday!! Even the teens enjoyed themselves.

Fantastic place. We arrived in Barcelona in the early morning. We met Miguel, the owners father, at a street cafe right at the head of the street. He showed us through the flat and explained everything in great detail. He went way out of his way to help us with currency exchange, restaurants, sights, etc. It was a wonderful stay, in a wonderful flat, in a wonderful city. The flat is VERY easy walking distance to everything and if not cabs are very plentiful right on the street.

A wonderful flat in a very central location! The apartment was beautiful with attention paid to every detail. It is clear that the Victor and Miguel take great pride in the ownership of the property and in their desire to provide a very desirable vacation rental. In addition to being very well appointed with every convenience you could desire or need (well stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, coffee, laundry soap, and even oranges and a bottle of wine!), it was impeccably clean! As mentioned by other renters, it can be a little noisy, but that is the price you must pay if you wish to be located in the middle of it all. The only other thing I could say that wasn't perfect was the air conditioning, as the units were located in the common rooms, so the bedrooms tended to get a little warm and stuffy when the doors were closed. But in light of all the positive aspects to the property, these are not such a big deal, and definitely would not prevent me from renting the flat again in the future. Overall, this fabulous flat exceeded my expectations and was true to the listing! Thank you Victor and Miguel for providing us a wonderful place to stay while in Barcelona.

My husband and I stayed here with two other couples for 4 days in the summer during the Saint Joan celebration. The place is amazing! There was plenty of room for the 6 of us. The kitchen was sleek and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy as was the sofa. The patio area was wonderful to relax in the evening with a home cooked meal. The location is very central to all things sightseeing. We all loved it and would recommend it highly.

This apartment is exactly as described in the VRBO listing. Close to everything, clean, comfortable and the terrace is a bonus. Victor was so helpful, before and during our vacation time. This is in the heart of the City, so be prepared for noise at night. It was wonderful, being able to walk to the Mercat Santa Caterina and pick up items for breakfast and lunch everyday, Barcelona citizens were extremely helpful. Two couples shared this flat for 3 nights and it accommodated us perfectly. Clean, secure, comfortable, modern amenities while maintaining the charming older character, and convenient to see all the sites and shopping. Loved taking time out on the private terrace too. I would highly recommend this property as a terrific place to explore Barcelona! The location, close to the Cathedral, Market, Plaza Catalunya, is perfect to explore the old city, with great bus and subway connections to the rest of Barcelona. We are a family of four from the US who found this beautiful home on vrbo.com. We had four BLISSFUL nights in this ideal location in perfect comfort. Miguel met us on the street and walked us up to the apartment. He then explained how all the things worked in the apartment and went beyond that by giving us maps and telling us the history of important landmarks around the city. He was absolutely charming. If we get lucky enough to go back to Barcelona we will DEFINITELY stay in this home again!!!

The apartment was everything the vbro ad claimed, and even more. Location was perfect, with cab drop off 30 feet from the door and a cab stand only a short block away for easy return to BCN. The furnishings and appliances were ultra top end and all worked well. Building is secure and in good area. All the dining establishments we tried were excellent at very reasonable prices..............particularly we liked the 4 Cats and their new grilled meats place nearby, the Cal Pep near Maria del Mar, and the tapas bar Bubo (also great choc.) Victor, and his father Miguel, were wonderful and caring hosts - both always going out of their way to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of their guests. Wonderful apartment, so convenient to everything you want to see in Barcelona. I felt safe all the time. Victor, you were very helpful as was your Dad with information on transportation, sights to see, nearby markets, etc. Apartment is fully equipped, from coffee to dishwashing and washing machine soap. We only had to buy food. I loved sitting on the balcony/patio at night with my sister, catching up over wine and cheese. Highly recommend this apartment. My one suggestion, Victor, is stock two towels per person instead of one. Or suggest guests bring an extra. But I would stay here again and again! Barcelona is a fantastic city!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Terrific location and a wonderful spot if you like to cook as it it is located close to the two best open markets in town. Miguel and Victor were very helpful and made us feel right at home. The space was lovely for our family visit. A beautiful and imaginative space. Thank you! We found a great restuarant nearby, L'Antic Boccol del Gotic.

Exceeded our expectations.Perfect central location.Delightful accomodation.Victor the owner was extremely helpful, responding promptly to e-mails, providing requested information and answering any queries that we had. His father was delightful and took much time and trouble orientating us to not only the flat but Barcelona itself. Highly recommended.

Wonderful 2b/1.5 bath apartment in a great location. Everything we did for 3 days was in walking distance-Picasso, Gothic, Las Ramblas; the flat is 1/2 block from VIA Lantana where you can pick a taxi up or get an expresso on the corner. The metro is very close also- great little restaurants and shops nearby-The flat is very clean and comfortable -Victor and his Dad, Miguel are very accommodating hosts. I would recommend this apartment to couples, and small families.

Very charming. Renovation is beautiful, a lot of the old building charm as well as modern outfitting. The host is very helpful and accommodating. Location could not be better. Close to museums and great restaurants. A little noisy, but I think that is more Barcelona rather than the fault of this unit.

We spent 4 nights at the apartment during Thanksgiving week-end and it was an amazing time. The apartment is absolutely beautiful, with everything you can imagine to make you feel at home. You live the history and elegance in every corner of the apartment while using the state of the art appliances. We were 4 adults +1 child and the apartment was more than enough size for us. The neighborhood is wonderful with just about everything you might need for a true Barcelona experience. The apartment is located within walking distance to many Gothic Quarter attractions, restaurants and Las Ramblas. Metro is only a few blocks away, giving you easy access to the city. We have the fondest memories and dream of coming back to stay here again. Thanks to the owners (Victor and his Father) who made everything so easy for us with their excellent English.
