Dock with 10,000 lb boat lift located on saltwater canal 10 minutes by boat to beautiful Charlotte Harbor and on the open waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Charlotte Harbor offers over 160 sq. Miles of protected water and some of the best fishing in Florida. Charlotte Harbor and Boca Grand Pass is known as the "Tarpon Capital" of the world.
The master bedroom has a king bed with full bath two vanities, large shower and walk-in closet. The split floor plan has two bedroom and a full bath that has direct access to the pool/spa. One bedroom has a double bed and the other twin beds that can be combine to a king. This bedroom has a vanity with-in the bedroom.
This home is very comfortable for three couples of a family. The kitchen has a 6 foot pass thru pocket window to a outdoor bar and dinning area. Why the Owner Chose Punta Gorda Isles
Punta Gorda is located in Charlotte county and offers a small town appeal with wonderful weather and located close to major Florida cities and airports. Located north of Naples/Ft. Myers and south of Sarasota but the cost of living and real estate is much more affordable.
The Unique Benefits at this House
House is located on a salt water canal with easy access to Charlotte Harbor which has several hundred square miles of protected water. Charlotte Harbor than opens to the Gulf of Mexico. It is truly a boaters paradise. Several golf courses, biking, beaches, shopping, major & minor league baseball, great restaurants, no traffic jams even at high season. Much history, arts and entertainment.

John & Marylou Goodman raised our three children in a small town in Ohio. Marylou's parents retired in Punta Gorda in the 1980-1990 which gave us many opportunities to visits Punta Gorda. In 2001 after our youngest went off to college we toured much of Florida and could not find a nicer place than Punta Gorda and purchased this home in 2003. John is semi retired in that he is still an active real estate broker and developer in Ohio but we attempt to spend much of the winter in Punta Gorda.

We had a great two + weeks in December, 2011. The setting is beautiful in a mature neighborhood with lots of boat activity. The pictures on the VRBO website do not do the home justice. It was very comfortable and stocked with most of the essentials. The owners were very nice to deal with and where very accommodating. The home its close enough to golf and shopping, with both Port Charlotte and Fort Myers close by. We plan to return again in 2012!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+.

We stayed in this beautiful home from January-April 2010. It was exactly as described and very well equipped. The pool and hot tub were great and we spent a lot of time in both of them. The furniture and beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the large screen TV. I would spend the sunset hours on the dock fishing and was lucky enough to catch a lot of fish. My best catch was a 20 lb. plus Black Drum. John and Marylue (the Owners) are terrific. If we didn't need anything they left us alone. If we needed something ( replacement light bulbs) they were there. I think of John and Marylue as friends not landlords, they're great people. Personal circumstances did not allow us to book for 2011 but, I would recommend this home to anyone. We had a great time

Great house, great owner. Could not have asked for more. The lanai is huge and we spent a lot of leisure time there. Enjoyed Luigi's pizza, Monty's lasagna and Benedettos ribs. Sorry we aren't seafood eaters so I can't recommend any. We did however try "Beyond the Sea" in Englewood and enjoyed it very much.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, age 55+.

my wife and i spent two lovely weeks in march (09). john and marylou are most gracious and made it very easy for us to feel at home, in their lovely home. their home is very comfortable and appointed very well. the master bed is "fantastic" as are the rest of the furinshings. the lani, patio and pool are "heaven". the landscaping is mature and "beautiful". they have a weekly service so every thing is "perfect". you have real privacy when in the pool / patio area. it truly is a slice of paradise. we just retired and were not sure about renting, but after three nights at their place, we called to see about renting their home for all of next season. we were to late, they had just rented to some other folks. i say, GOOD for those LUCKY people. it is obvious that we truly enjoyed john and marylou's home. we thank you for that:) terry and johnny
