A beautiful Florida style home in the Dunes, a quiet country club community conveniently near the causeway for easy access on and off the island. Located on a lovely lot overlooking conservation land to the west to spectacular sunsets, and views eastward over the lake in the back rewarding the early riser with sunrise over the water. Spectacular wildlife abounds. Egrets, herons, hawks, owls and wood stocks are frequent guests on our lawn, osprey and occasional bald eagles fly overhead, and fish jump in the lake. Beaches are a short bike ride away.
The elevated main floor (elevator available) has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, covered and uncovered decks open outward for pool and lake views, large great room with dining area that seats up to 10 comfortably, and home entertainment center. The kitchen is fully equipped with side-by-side refrigerator, ice maker, dishwasher, disposal, cook top stove, microwave, blender, food processor, coffeemaker, pantry closet, trash compactor and every kind of utensil imaginable. There is a bar-top seating four in the kitchen. A gas grill is located on the deck outside the kitchen.
The primary master suite is spacious with cathedral ceilings, king size bed, walk-in closet, large screen HDTV with CD/DVD player, and a huge bathroom with separate shower and oversize tub. A large private balcony overlooks the lake. Each of the other three bedrooms on the main floor have large beds and TV. A laundry room with washer and dryer is on the main floor.
The ground level has a multi-car garage and separate sleeping area with several beds. Its large recreation room has floor-to-ceiling sliding windows that walk out to the pool and back yard, a ping-pong table, and a TV viewing section stocked with games and videos. This is a favorite spot for kids.
The pool is heated with a large attached hot tub and waterfall. There is a kid safety fence around the pool, and mesh safety netting on the upper-level deck railings. There is plenty of poolside and deck furniture, and hot and cold outdoor shower.
The location of our house is special with decks that overlook the swimming pool and a large backyard leading down to a lake teeming with fish and bird life. The yard is well-landscaped with citrus in season. The sunrises and sunsets are spectacular, the evenings are peaceful and quiet.
This is a lived-in home that is fully furnished and equipped in a friendly community on a quiet 3-mile-long loop road. The Dunes Golf and Tennis Club is semi-private and open to the public. It has clubhouse, bar and dining room, an excellent and challenging 18 hole golf course with driving range and putting greens, and 7 Hartru clay tennis courts. It is just around the corner. Tee times, court times, clinics, and private instruction are readily available. Full club membership priviledges are available to our guests for a one-time transfer fee of $150.
