The flat is very welcoming: even if it is on the first floor, it has a park for your car. Moreover you are allowed to bring your small-size pets. If you decide to come without your car, during the summer there are no problems, since San Foca is well-connected with the other place all over the Salento with a net of public transports.
San Foca is only 4 km far from the most known Torre Dell’Orso. Even if San Foca is less known than Torre Dell’Orso, it may be preferred to the latter because of several reasons: it is less chaotic and more livable than Torre Dell’Orso, and over all renting in San Foca is cheaper than renting in Torre Dell’orso.
San Foca is 60 kms far from Brindisi, which is the nearest airport with no-stop Ryanair flight from London. It is 20 minutes far from Lecce by car, where there is the nearest train station. But Lecce is important for other reasons too: in fact it’s called “the Florence of south Italy” because of its Baroque monuments and buildings.
San Foca is near to Otranto too: it is only 20 minutes by car far from it. Otranto is very known all around the world: it is a cultural and artistic town, and its streets are always full by people who love its Gothic, magic atmosphere!
Moreover, literature lovers surely know Otranto since it is the set of Horace Walpole’s masterpiece, “The Castle of Otranto”. San Foca isn’t far from the wildlife reserve of WWF, Cesine, where lovers of nature will find several races of very different animals and a lot of kinds of plants.
In San Foca are available all kinds of services: there are restaurants, markets, boutiques, tobacconist, characteristic shops, fully-equipped shores where you can spend relaxing days with your children too. In the nearness there are discos, diving centre, horse trekking, water sports.
