Enjoy this new casa on a beautiful Caribbean beach in Tulum, Mexico. In addition to the bedroom and bath is a large palapa with a white sand floor. Under the palapa is a camp kitchen with basic cooking utensils, large dining table and a hammock with a view of the ocean. Another small room with a double bed sleeps two people. For additional sleeping space we have a bed/futon in the main room. Also there is a small child's bed in the bedroom.
Electricity is powered by windmill and generator. We have a cistern of rain water for the toilet, so water may be slightly brown from zacate grass on the roof.
Nearby are many restaurants, spas with yoga classes, massage, etc. Five minutes down the road are the spectacular Tulum ruins overlooking the ocean. Late afternoon kayaking in Sian Kaan is wonderful for bird watching. Visit Sian Kaan also to explore beaches and the lagoon. Other destinations such as Hidden Worlds, Xel-Ha, and Xcaret offer explorations, snorkeling, and insights into the Maya culture. Most people just want to hang out on the gorgeous white sand beach. Various places along the beach will take you to the reef for great snorkeling.
The town of Tulum, five minutes away, is full of restaurants, shops, and interesting cenotes to explore.
