Enjoy this new casa, nestled in the chit palms and sea grape trees, on a beautiful Caribbean beach in Tulum, Mexico.The larger bedroom has a queen bed and small child's bed. A spacious bathroom is attached to this room. Recent additions include a new living room, kitchen, and small bedroom with a double bed that sleeps two people. For additional sleeping space we have a bed/futon in the main room. Large windows and double glass doors face the ocean. The beach is just a few steps away.
Electricity is powered by windmill,solar panels, and generator.
Nearby are many restaurants, spas with yoga classes, massage, etc. Five minutes down the road are the spectacular Tulum ruins overlooking the ocean. Late afternoon kayaking in Sian Kaan is wonderful for bird watching. Visit Sian Kaan also to explore beaches and the lagoon. Other destinations such as Hidden Worlds, Xel-Ha, and Xcaret offer explorations, snorkeling, and insights into the Maya culture. Most people just want to hang out on the gorgeous white sand beach. Various places along the beach will take you to the reef for great snorkeling.
The town of Tulum, five minutes away, is full of restaurants, shops, and interesting cenotes to explore.

great place to stay on the beach. if you don't want to cook, restaurants are available just out your door. i would recommend staying here to anyone, couples, groups of singles or a family. between the two rentals you have options.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, romantic getaway, pet owners, tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+.

We stayed February 2010 with our 3 children for about 11 days. The beachfront location on Tulum's white sandy beaches is spectacular. The house is nestled behind some small trees upon the dunes next door to another rental with same owners. On either side of 2 rentals are a restaurant/bar(very small) with couch lounging and a small beach hotel with rooms/restaurant/small pool/bar. Both places serve drinks and food. The pictures are right on. The rental is located right in the middle of the Tulum beach/hotel scene. Cannot say enough about the beachfront location...spectacular for us and so convenient for the kids. The restaurant next door let our kids swim in the pool quite often(though we did eat or drink something there at least once a day). This rental is not for those who want everything at their fingertips. We traded some 'luxuries' like electricity and plumbing for the vacation perfect locale. We had some electrical and plumbing issues. This place(like most) has wind power/generator power. So, if something goes wrong, you must wait for someone to fix it. The plumbing on the only toilet had some flushing issues on the last few days of our stay. The manager and the handyman were great and really tried their best. We sort of felt bad for them because the house had lingering issues that didn't seem to be their fault. For 300 a night, we expected better rural management and pride of ownership. Hopefully, they have hammered out these issues. We had a fantastic stay here. We also met the owners briefly on our first night. They were great. Thanks again for a great vacation.
Owner response:As of Feb 2011 Casita Limon has a completely new electrical system and new plumbing has addressed the previous problems.
