In January, "Like Us" on Facebook and your 3rd night is free! “La Casa de Joy” is our beautiful 1-bed, 2-bath waterfront luxury home on Lake Travis. This home has been featured on HGTV’s Straw with Style, Designing Texas, and was the cover feature for Natural Home Magazine. It is the tallest straw bale home in Texas, and architecturally unique with hand-painted tiles & healing gemstones woven into the flooring. It is designed to sleep two, however bedding may be added to sleep up to four. This home is perfect for a romantic getaway, honeymoon, private retreat, or to rent as a main house for your event/retreat.
At the front entrance, you are met with a beautiful view of the entire property, organic garden, & a koi pond. Walk through the soaring entry way into the downstairs main living area with a cornerstone fireplace, 2nd living room, & fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs you’ll find a stunning large master bedroom with Queen size bed, study, master bath, dual sided fireplace (take a bath by the fire!), and a spiral staircase leading to the 3rd floor viewing tower. The back of the home features a large covered porch with fireplace, hot tub, and gorgeous views of the lake and sunsets. “La Casa de Joy” was originally built by an Artist & Healer, her creativity & energy are felt throughout the entire property.
Enjoy additional amenities such as yoga or thai massage, and complimentary sattelite television, wireless internet, multiple viewing decks to pick your relaxing spot, & a private boat dock with air-conditioned small cabin to spend your afternoon (please check dock availability when making your reservations).

My husband and I spent our 5 year anniversary at this beautiful home in Spicewood Texas. We instantly felt "at home" upon our arrival. It's so beautifully built and thoughtfully decorated, and then you walk outside and......WOW! Such an amazing view!!! Even though the lake is very low right now, the landscaping and patios made it such an enjoyable place to hang out and watch the sunset with a glass of wine. At night, we enjoyed use of the hot tub, grill and outdoor fireplace. The house is just a short walk away from the Stonehouse Winery which is definitely worth a trip (or many!). When we weren't relaxing at the house, we were venturing out to the different towns and vineyards in the surrounding area. We really liked the downtown area of Marble Falls (antique shops) and the Spicewood Vineyard was wonderful. Actually there is so much in that area to experience, we can't wait to make another trip back! Thank you Bethany for making our stay at La Casa de Joy such an unforgettable one!

First of all, this is your dream wedding venue! My husband works for Homeaway, and left me in charge of finding a Homeaway house for our venue. I chose Casa De Joy because it was a perfect property that had everything! I LOVED the beautiful scenery, waterfall going from the top of the property to the lake, perfect path to walk down the isle to a porch overlooking the lake, it also had a dance floor, perfect space for dinner tables, plenty of sleeping accommodations for our bridal party, awesome music system that was played all thru the property (even in the rock steps along the side of the waterfall), beautiful sunsets, and then Bob and Page are just the sweetest, most helpful homeowners! It wasn't easy finding them, but once I did, I knew instantly! When we first went to the property to check it out before finalizing, my first steps onto the property took my breathe away. It was so beautiful and fantasy like. As an Event Planner, the property generated so many creative juices to flow with ideas! The possibilities are endless. And with such amazing property owners, they really wanted to make sure I had the wedding of my dreams, and they did everything in their power to ensure my day was perfect! It was a small 25 person wedding, and everyone who attended was blown away! It's a property that speaks for itself, and you really don't have to do too much decoration to make it look like the perfect wedding venue. Whether your wanting to stay here for a Wonderful Wedding Weekend, or your vacationing with family, Casa De Joy is the most peaceful, yet fun retreat you can ask for! The owners told me that before the owned it, it was a meditation retreat...part of that still remains throughout the property! You will leave feeling refreshed, peaceful, and in complete bliss (especially if you get married out here)!!! It had multiple little houses that my bridal party stayed in, and it was so Austin, and so much fun! I seriously couldn't have asked for anything more perfect than this property. I really enjoyed every second, and I have so many special memories from my wedding because of this property! Thank you so much Bob and Page for helping to ensure those special memories and letting me use your beautiful property! And to anyone who might be considering this property for a wedding, or vacation....just stop looking now. This property is everything you can ask for and so much more! It really doesn't get much better than this! 110% Satisfaction from my experience!

Good Morning PageWe had a wonderful time. Your lake home is so charming and peaceful. I am now on a different path with what I want on the lake. Casa De Joy, or it’s equivalent, would be perfect for my husband and I. We could create little bungalows for our sons and their families (once they have them…lol) and guests. I am on a whole new track now. Thank you again for allowing us into your beautiful lake home for our mini-vacation. Sharon
