This is the second time that we rent this Sydney apartment. It is lovely, very comfortable, well decorated and the hosts are very kind. I always hope that it is available as I find that it a great place to stay in Sydney.

Our stay at this amazing apartment was a highlight of our first visit to Sydney. The well-equipped apartment, the friendly neighbourhood, the fantastic views, the short commute to the busy downtown, and efficient ferry into town were notable aspects of being at this location. And we really appreciated our host's helpful hints about sites to visit and neighbourhood shopping and cafes which contributed to being able to make the most of a too-short stay!

We arrived at Dana's Sydney apartment after a two week cruise around New Zealand. It felt like we were coming home as we made our way to this nice neighborhood. We spent a week exploring Sydney and area and found that the week long 'My Mulit 1" pass was a great saving for transportation and made getting around very easy. The ferry is a very short walk from the apartment and runs frequently to Circular Quay (after which you can head out in any direction you wish). The apartment is stunning and far better than any hotel you might find in the city. To sit on the deck, or for us the living room because the weather was marginal, and watch the sailboats on the water was just perfection. We spent our days busy exploring then would come home to make supper and relax. The kitchen is well supplied, there wasn't anything we needed. The grocery store is a short 10 minute walk around the corner, as well as a wine store, fish store and a couple small restaurants/coffee shops. Dana also has all the ferry schedules and tourist information you might need available in the apartment. The internet hookup worked well for us and the washing machine was very handy. We really enjoyed our week long stay here and dream about coming back. Thank you Dana.

This apartment is beautiful and has everything you need for a truely fantastic stay. It has the most wonderful view and is so quiet and tranquil, I cannot recommend it highly enough. Everything is provided from bedding to washing powder to tea and biscuits when we arrived! There was so much helpful information about Sydney, bus and ferry timetables, attractions, places to eat and everything to ensure a perfect stay. Dana and her husband are the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble.

I'm reading through the 18 reviews of my stay that holds true to a wonderful stay in Sydney for one week and I'll sum up the same responses to mine: The apartment is beautiful as pictured, A fantastic Rental! The best location you can get outside the city where the ferry is an 8 minute walk and the small shops at Greenwich Road are 20 minutes walking distance from the store to cook your food (or in my case, make sandwiches). I did not want to leave the place and Dana is an excellent host. The Ferry takes you to the final stop at Circular Quay next to the Sydney Opera House. There's a lot of great reviews and it fits with my stay here. On a Rainy day you can stay comfortably inside on the couch or balcony to the sounds of nature and the rainfall over Sydney Harbor. Dana's apartment has a charm that will make rainy days enjoyable and calm with a hot tea or a glass of wine (of course I'd have to buy it on my own). I would never have anything that charming on a rainy day, because hotel stays are depressing in the rain and Dana's apartment helps calm the stay before I roam through the city. I miss it already. It's worth the stay.

The location of the apartment is excellent just a short walk and ferry ride into Sydney. It has stunning views of the water. The accommodation photos reflect accurately the apartment, which was very clean and well maintained. The owner was very thoughtful in leaving information in the apartment about Sydney's attractions and transportation. Everything you could possibly need is there. Even a hairdryer! She was also very welcoming. We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to friends. Just one last comment - you are woken early every morning with natures very own morning chorus! We already miss it!

Dana's apartment was truly amazing. Incredible. A must stay !!! Literally! The views were incredible, the hostess (Dana) was very gracious and made us feel at home, even offering to "stock our refrigerator" prior to our arrival. How awesome is that? The description can not fully explain the majesty of the apartment. I am very used to staying at 5 star hotels around the world, and this being my first VRBO experience, I was a little nervous. Dana made me feel at ease and the transaction was perfect. The photos were perfect, although they did not show how picture perfect this place is. The apartment was clean, nice, tidy and well thought out. Dana's artwork was superb, and thoughtfully placed inside the unit. I have already recommended this property to many friends and relatives. The short travel time to the apartment was great. We boarded the Sydney ferry at Circular Quay (pronounced "KEY") and within less that 10 minutes, were at the ferry stop. Just a quick stop away was Cockatoo Island, which was amazing. The owner was so kind to leave brochures that made our stay even easier, having all activities available for you to look at and peruse at your leisure. I didn't want to leave. I will definitely return back here on my next trip to "Oz". I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS VACATION RENTAL. I can say it no other way.

I am just back home, after more than two months of travelling around Australia. Where I stay is very important to me, and is integral part of the travel experience, so I spend quite a bit of time researching my accommodation ahead of travelling. I had the good fortune of staying in some pretty nice places along the way – but this apartment wins top ranking, no contest. Most web sites make the place look better than it really is, but here the reverse is true : nothing can prepare you for the impact of the view when you first walk into the flat – it is truly stunning. And then you discover all the other treasures, big and small : the birdlife , the tranquillity, the comfort, Dana’s paintings on the wall, the wonderful ferry ride into town under Harbour Bridge, washing powder in the cupboard, ferry and bus timetables & piles of information leaflet on the desk, broadband internet ... All these things combine to making this a real home with a warm and welcoming feel to it : you can tell that the owners have travelled and know exactly what you need when getting to a strange place. There is one danger though : you could stay on the terrace for hours just enjoying being there, and not do any sightseeing !! I would not want to stay anywhere else in the Sydney area : thank you Dana and Piet for your hospitality !

WOW is really the best word we can come up with to describe this amazing apartment. The sweeping views of the water and the attention to detail in this place are AMAZING. As others have noted, the only drawback is it is hard to motivate to leave and go out and see other things :), because the view and vibe are hard to beat in this space. Getting into Sydney via the water ferries is pure pleasure - a short 10 minute walk and you are at the ferry dock. We loved passing daily under Harbour Bridge and past the Opera House on our tourist commute into Sydney. We have been home almost two weeks now and I am still pining for the views and the bird sounds we woke to every morning. Pack light - every amenity including washer/dryer, high speed internet, blow dryer and more await your arrival. The hosts have thought of everything and the grocery store is just up the road. We highly recommend staying here.

This is probably the nicest designed space I have ever stayed or lived in. A perfect place to stay if you need some respite during your stay in Sydney. Stunning design and comfortably furnished with lovely art work-some by owner. The owners are delightful and very responsive. After the noise and intensity of my last trip to Sydney I wanted to stay somewhere we could relax. The views and natural sounds are not to be missed. We loved taking the ferry to Greenwich, particularly at night with the views of the Harbor Bridge, the bats and the lights downtown and North Sydney (not to mention the Opera House). The only downside to this location is the lack of restaurants and the some times limited ferry service (Sunday evenings). Highly recommended.

We spent 8 terrific days here in October 09. The apartment is just as advertised - very comfortable, well equipped and in a beautiful location. There are wonderful views of the cove and lots of interesting birds. Getting into downtown Sydney by ferry is very easy and a weekly travel pass is valid on busses and trains also. The owners are delightful and very helpful. They even stored our luggage on our day of departure and organized a taxi later for our evening flight, essentially allowing us to spend an extra day in Sydney. We hope to return someday and this will definitely be our choice of accommodation. Don't hesitate to stay here, you will not be disappointed.

I just got back from Sydney. I stayed 7 days in this lovely apartment and the rest of my stay was in a hotel. I must say, I did not want to leave the apartment even if I was going to a 5 star hotel. I was picked up dropped off at the ferry station by the owners. They could not have been nicer. They really know how to be great hosts. For example they had instructions for all the appliances and all tourist information about Sydney. Also they had a nice library in case you forgot to bring books. The view is lovely, the deck is the best! The ferry is about a 5-8 minute walk from the place. I think one of the owner is an artist and it clearly shows in the decor (the furnishing are very modern and clean , clearly an asian influence). It was great to have free wifi unlike my 5 star hotel. I was alone and this way I had a great connection with my family. Finally, I think all I need to say about their hosting was they had snack prepared for my arrival. I could not recommend this more highly.

We just got back from celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. This unit is amazing! The views in the pictures don't even do it justice! We loved it! The unit was clean, well stocked and the owners were indeed very accessible, they even took us to the train station on the morning of our departure! This place is a real gem and if we ever get back to the Sydney area this is where we will stay, definitely! Truly a gem, my best VRBO spot yet!

I had the good fortune to stay here in September 2009 and can't say enough good things. Dana and her husband are gracious hosts and have thought of everything to make you feel at home. The apartment is open and inviting, and clearly great thought has been put in the layout and design. You feel as if you have found your own special treehouse with a lovely view of the water. The flat is an easy walk to and from the launch to pick up the ferry and from there you can go right in to Circular Quay, or connect to almost any other location you might care to see while in Sydney. Really, you can't go wrong other than you will be so spoiled you will never want to stay anywhere else when you are in Sydney. I would highly recommend.

We spent a wonderful week at this apartment in Sydney. We almost felt like we were in paradise. The location was superb. Public transportation was easily accessible - we traveled by ferry, train, and bus. Being in a neighborhood was much better than staying in a hotel. We walked extensively, not only in the local area but also along the water, over the bridge, and into the central city. The apartment was clean, comfortable, roomy, and well-supplied. The view from the balcony was amazing. A grocery store was a short walk away, and we fixed several meals for ourselves. The owner was hospitable, easily available, and very helpful. If we ever return to Sydney - and I hope we do - we would want to stay here again. Thanks again for everything. Dan and Carolyn - Michigan, USA

We had a wonderful stay. The apartment is beautiful as pictured. The hosts were very helpful and available for questions. While we were initially concerned of location in suburbs, the Sydney transportation system works extremely well so getting around was no problem and the walk to the ferry was always enjoyable. We look forward to our return.

Definitely a fantastic rental! Stayed here for a month and enjoyed every single day. The sunsets are to die for as the colors of the sky wash from blues to reds over the harbour view and the lights in all the distant homes on the harbour twinkle at dusk. The deck is incredibly huge and completely private and the walls can be configured to be fully open with breezes and bird calls wafting through to completely private. This place is definitely an architectural wonder and added to one of my top 10 vacation rental destinations in the world. Incredibly easy to get into the heart of downtown Sydney via a train or ferry ride but distant enough to give you an experience of Sydney over the harbour you won't forget (nor want to leave)! The owner is extremely helpful with any questions you may have about visiting here in Sydney. Overall, it was worth every cent staying here and getting one of the best rental experiences I've ever had.

My wife and I stayed at this place for a week in April 2009 and it is superb. Probably the best location you could get outside the city - in fact I would not stay anywhere else. The ferry is 8 mins walk away and then a beautiful 15 min ride into Circular Quay - ferries run hourly. The host is wonderful and has set the apartment up perfectly with everything you need including bus and ferry schedules, local restaurant guides etc. The apartment itself is exquisite with a wonderfully private and fully open floor plan that has 6 meter sliding glass doors that open onto a deck overlooking the bay - we slept with this open every night. It is amazingly quiet and tranquil and you will be woken up to kookaburras, cockatoos, magpies and lorikeets in the morning. My wife and I had trouble pulling ourselves away from the place every day and actually getting out and doing things. You'd be crazy to stay anywhere else, unless of course you want the city experience.

Comment Text: The apartment in the tranquil suburb Greenwich is really wonderful and has everything you need to relax: beautiful terrace with view on the bay, state of the art kitchen, modern bathroom, free internet, really tasteful interior. Public transport connections to the city are very good, take the ferry (5 min walk to the wharf) or the train (10 min to station).

Sydney Harbour Savannah is absolutely one of the best kept secrets of Sydney. Wonderful secluded spot for maximum privacy yet immediately accessible to all parts of Sydney. I travel frequently around the world for business so I know what it is like to stay somewhere special with very hospitable hosts. The lucky who stay here will enjoy sparkling water views, refreshing sunshine throughout the flat, and aesthetically pleasing and functional interior design.
