Nearby are Moses Cone Memorial Park, with hiking trails, bridal paths, trout streams, lakes, and cross-country skiing; the Linville Falls/Linville Gorge area with trails leading to the head of the falls; and Grandfather Mountain, the highest peak in the Blue Ridge. Other area attractions include the Tweetsie Railroad Theme Park , the Blowing Rock, golf courses, tennis courts, areas for biking, canoeing, rafting, rock climbing, fishing, and swimming, as well as concerts, theatre, and art exhibits.
