This beautiful two bedroom two bath home on John Muir road is set one house back from the waters edge, in the sought after location of orchard bay, it is perfect for a weekend or holiday escape. This home is one of the only “smaller rentals” on this street. Close to Beach Clubs, skiing, shopping and restaurants.
Our home sleeps four adults comfortably; we also have a brand new futon in the living room that could be used for two more adults or children. There is a clean fold up crib for the baby. One King upstairs, One Queen downstairs, One full-sized futon couch. (This is not a "party home.").
Kitchen has most needed food essentials (spices, tea, coffee, etc.) and a booster seat for the little one. We have TV with tons of digital cable channels, including many options of On Demand TV, and TiVo in living room, a DVD player and a CD player upstairs.
Our home has a wall of windows upstairs and downstairs looking through the huge trees to the sparkling waters of Lake Arrowhead and the twinkling lights of the village at night. The fourth of July fireworks are directly in front of our house. Our home has easy lake access, the ALA path is just across the street for wonderful walks along the lake. We have a beach pass that can be used for access to the private beach clubs in the summer.
We have recently installed new carpet, new beds with cozy down alternative comforters, and a new solid teak futon couch in the living room. Unlike some rentals on the mountain, we provide all linens, which are brand new. Our home is nicely decorated and very clean. Our home has two fireplaces, one upstairs and one downstairs for those crisp winter nights.
We also have a brand new pool table for your enjoyment. There is a barbeque on the wrap-around deck with awesome views, and of course there is a garage for those snowy days.
Our home has baby gates that can be put up and the upstairs railings are baby proofed with plastic covering so no little ones can fall through. This is our vacation home so you will find the occasional kid drawing on the refrigerator and kids toys! There is also a huge wooden play set in the back with swings.
We hope you can “come up for air” to our lovely retreat in the mountains!

From the moment we arrived we were treated to a meticulously clean and welcoming home ... warm, relaxing and inviting ... beautifully amazing views of the lake ... incredible energy and inspiring open spaces ... true relaxation at it's best. Everything was perfect ... the lakefront walk just across the street and down some steps, the short drive into Lake Arrowhead village, the quiet (and I mean "quiet") privacy of the home itself .... the warmth of the fireplaces ... everything you could want or need within an arm's reach. As a regular VRBO renter, sometimes it's hard to know if what you're getting is exactly what you're expecting ... in this case, and within this perfect home, all was far beyond our expectations. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful and heart blessed home with us ... We will definitely be returning ... again and again.

We are so grateful for the realaxing time we had at the Lake House. Shaina and Mike, THANK YOU! My kids had a blast walking the Lake and playing on the playset in the yard. The pictures don't do this home justice. Three days wasn't enough. We're heading back up there again soon.

Shaina was a delight to work with, and her home was perfect us...easy walk around the lake and into the village, terrific views, and our four-year-old was thrilled by the backyard play set and pool table upstairs. The house comes equipped with all the conveniences...made it so easy to travel light, even with a little one. Highly recommend.

This cabin was ideal for our family. Our kids aged 5 and 2 enjoyed the backyard jungle gym. It snowed our second day there for a few hours where we all played in the snow but most of it was melted the next day just in time for our day hikes. I recommend the short walk (roughly 20 minutes) on the lake arrowhead trial just accross the street to the village. The waffle house is great for the morning breakfast where our kids loved feeding the ducks afterword. We come up to lake arrowhead every year and usually try out a different cabin. We will definitley want to stay here next year.

Dear Shaina, The four of us had an amazing Halloween weekend in Lake Arrowhead, and loved your home!! It was extremely comfortable, well-decorated and clean. The master bedroom is super-cozy - plus the bed itself was amazing comfortable! We took advantage of everything - after day-hikes along the lake, we made dinner, played pool, watched movies during the evenings. Such a wonderful place to come back to after a physical day! We went during the end of March/09 and were blessed with wonderful weather and crisp mountain air. The cabin was perfect for 5 adults and 1 toddler. Big plus for the cabin being baby proof already. We arrived very late Friday evening but woke up to the most beautiful view of Lake Arrowhead. Shaina is professional and very easy to work. She is accessible via phone and email and is quick to answer questions before, during, and after the stay. We had a great time and would recommend the cabin for any family looking for some time away from the city.

Renting from Shaina was such a great experience. The communication was very swift. I have doubt that the next time we go up there we will rent from her again. The house was so beautiful and nicely decorated. We have 2 small toddlers and there was plenty of room for them to roam around the house. I am so glad I found a place like this to rent. What a BEAUTIFUL home! We had a wonderful experience renting from the Millers and they were super accommodating. The house is in great shape and close to everything: the lake, the village, restaurants, walking paths, etc. Our 3-year old had a blast playing in the back yard and sledding nearby. I highly recommend this home to those of you looking for a great peaceful getaway in the mountains. It is perfect for families. We will definitely rent this home again. -Elizabeth
