Condo at the Ramada Renaissance Hotel

Guest: Esperanza (Toronto)
Date of Stay: 12/01/10 Review Submitted: 12/12/10

I have just returned from Israel and I just wanted to mention that we had a very very pleasant stay at the condo. It is a very nice place, clean, very comfortable in a 5 star hotel plus we enjoyed the amenities of the hotel, which was a real bonus and the rental was reasonable compared to hotel rooms. I would highly recommend this condo for anyone wanting to rent an apartment for a vacation in Jerusalem.

Check First

Guest: Timoth (Ireland)
Date of Stay: 10/15/10 Review Submitted: 05/11/11

Before we made our booked, we examine the unit if it is completely renovated because the last two weeks of our stay here way back then is not as good as for now. The location is fantastic and the unit is roomy. Owner is indeed of great help in all our needs and also in giving us information. I will strongly recommend this.

The apartment is fantastic. It was the perfect unit that suites our needs. It is definitely a place away from home. Love the idea of providing us what we need especially when the time that we needed a stroller, Eli got us one. Thank you so much. Hope to be here again.

Found The Best!

Guest: John (Newzealand)
Date of Stay: 09/10/10 Review Submitted: 05/11/11

It took for a while to find a place that perfectly suites your taste. We had stayed to a lot of VRBO properties, and finally, we found the best unit we ever had. It is huge for a hotel suite. Rooms are well appointed with the fabulous renovated walls and work. The place is quiet. And it is blended with the tune of the lobby music tone. The location is indeed great because the Palestinian Market is just across the Damascus Gate. And even my favorite restaurant is just nearby, the Al-Quds Restaurant. I keep on looking to a place. And in the end I got this place. I loved it so much. Thank you Eli.

The Two Kind Owners

Guest: Joy (Clafonia )
Date of Stay: 07/24/10 Review Submitted: 04/08/11

We will never had a great stay without the two kind owners, Albert and Eli. They are so accommodating. Even if we arrived so early, still they quickly respond to us. They are of great help in advice and recommendations. Aside from these two lovely owners, the unit itself is fantastic. It has the balcony that sees the beauty of the city and near Ben Yehuda Street. It was been newly renovated and gives comforts even more. It is definitely clean and well maintained. It also so has a cozy bed. The apartment is big enough for the two of us, me and my husband, with room for more! The kitchen is good for light cooking. And a thing to be considered also is the location. Indeed, the place has its marvelous location. Busses and taxis is just exactly outside the apartment. Restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries and stores are just nearby. And even the market and the Old City is just a couple of walks away. We really love our stay in this place. This unit has our recommendation.

A Phenomenal Stay in Jerusalem

Guest: SeasonedWonderer (mpls, mn)
Date of Stay: 06/10/10 Review Submitted: 12/13/10

I stayed at the Ramada Renaissance in June, 2010. The place was clean and centrally located. More importantly, you stay in a condo, but have all the amenities of a hotel. The staff was helpful in finding points of interest by car. The lobby is gorgeous, with great Israeli dishes. The owner was very accommodating and helpful when we booked. I recommend this place without reservations.

Nothing To Worry

Guest: Steve (Bangladesh)
Date of Stay: 06/08/10 Review Submitted: 04/07/11

I would definitely recommend this place for it has a great location because Old City is just about 20 minute walk or took for 25 minutes if you walk around the place. And it has also easy access to all parts of Jerusalem. Talking about its aminities, it was perfect. It is a lovely 2 rooms and we were 3 couples that could easily fall asleep even if some were sofa couches. It has a full baths and a half bath. It also has a wonderful dining room as well as the living room, convertible and cute. The building also has a laundry service. Great thing that local management is of absolute service. They quickly respond to the problem. And has nothing to worry for the place is secure.

Great Help!

Guest: Rose (Australia)
Date of Stay: 05/21/10 Review Submitted: 04/10/11

Eli's apartment gave us completely an amazing stay. It is bright and also cozy. The cleanliness is well maintained. It is roomy, a big place for the two of us but will completely be big enough for a family. The terrace was definitely great as well as the swimming pool. And the place is also a perfect location for everything is in the neighborhood. Bethlehem Rd is just 3 minutes away and this place is surrounded with a tasty bakery, fantastic greengrocer, one of the best cafes in Jerusalem, and so as hairdresser within its shops. And the main street Emek Refaim is just a 5 minute walk away. Excellent restaurants, trendy cafes, supermarket and interesting shops is just within the place. Worry not about the transportation because buses in town run for every few minutes. We will never had this marvellous stay without the help of Eli. = A quick response to all our needs is so much appreciated. Most of all, this experience gives me a great idea, not to book with a hotel again and better with an owner in a condo hotel!

Guest: Jany (Netherlands)
Date of Stay: 04/14/10 Review Submitted: 04/19/11

The things that we saw in the pictures is exactly the thing that is in here. The unit was big, roomy, well clean and more likely a home. The location is also perfect because everything is in the vicinity. Just a few minutes away from a little grocery stores and restaurants, and just taking a couple of walks to Emek Refaim as well as to the center of the city. The owner never failed to lend us his helping hands. We really love to stay here and hope to be in this place again.

We had enjoyed our stay in the apartment as much as in Baka. Indeed, this was my third time in Israel and the second time around together with my family. And the saddest thing is, we had only 10 days to stay. Till next time, Eli!

The amenities that you are looking for is all in this place. Roomy and gives so much comfort. It has a lot of drawers. It is completely neat and clean. And also a splendid and cool. A great place for summer. Stores, restaurants and even buses are just within the place. The location is extremely perfect. And most of it, it is of so much appreciation when somebody can provide everything you need in one way or another. And this place is what exactly I am looking for. The only place in vacation rental that I could say that is of great accommodation.

The unit is spacious and its place has a perfect location because it is the ideal way to the market and so as to the old city. And worry not for a ride for number of bus stops and tourist sites is within its place. Having coffee in the morning and various meals is a lovely thing to do. Enjoyed is the best word i could say in my stay. Love to be here again. I strongly recommend this to everyone I know and who wish to be here.

Outstanding rental

Guest: Yehoshua (New York)
Date of Stay: 03/02/10 Review Submitted: 04/25/10

My family rented this unit for one week and felt these were the best and most comfortable accommodations we had during our entire trip to Israel. The location is perfect, with outstanding restaurants just steps away, a bus stop across the street and many synagogues in the neighborhood. The suite is well appointed, nicely furnished and spotless. It was very nice to have access to all the amenities such as fitness center, jacuzzi, spa and pool. The reserved parking spot in front of the suite was also a real plus. The owner is a true mensch and completely dedicated to providing the best service. Reserving the units was very easy and efficient. If we are fortunate enough to visit Jerusalem again, there is no question that this is where we plan to stay.

Owner response:Thank you for your review! We strive our best to satisfy ever renter and we hope you come back rent from us again!

The room was lovely, the view excellent, the hotel top-rated. Eli made our transaction wonderfully smooth and everything was in order and waiting for us when we arrived. My first time in Jerusalem was incredible, the accomodations fantastic. I thank Eli humbly for everything he did and hope to do business with him again in the future.

Very Disappointing Stay

Guest: San Francisco couple (USA)
Date of Stay: 12/23/09 Review Submitted: 01/04/11

We stayed at this property for 7 nights during December 2010. When we checked into the room, it was a complete mess and had not been cleaned. After contacting the owner (in the USA) and also the Ramada hotel people, after almost 6 hours, we were finally able to get the room nominally cleaned up. However, they said that they do not clean the kitchen area, so we had to do that ourselves. By the way, there are no cooking utensils provided for the kitchen, so other than having a nice refrigerator and microwave, it's not that useful. The living room area is nice, and has been updated. The bedroom area however is badly in need of an upgrade. Wallpaper is peeling from the walls, the lamps are beat up, the bathroom is moldy and outdated, the carpet is worn, etc. Additionally, the windows were filthy with dirt, and you could hardly see out of them. The hotel itself is just ok, and also in need of maintenance. This was particularly true in the gym area. The morning breakfast was good, although expensive at almost $30 each. From a location standpoint, a cab ride is required to most locations, particular the old and new city. The Israel Museum and government buildings are in walking distance though. Other than the hotel itself, there are no restaurants in the neighborhood, and thus also require a cab ride Eli the owner is a good guy and wants to be helpful. He was very helpful during the booking process. However, as he lives in the US, it is hard for him to keep an eye on the place.

Wow what an experience! This is my first time renting a property from vrbo and I can tell you I have been OVERSATISFIED with this rental. The owners are wonderful people and will not let you spend one day without everything being PERFECT. This helps a lot since then you know that your vacation will be relaxing and pleasant. I also love the hotel's restaurants and the prices are very very reasonable. In addition myself and the kids took great advantage of the jacuzzi, pool and sauna! The location is great since you are across the bus station that can allow you to travel all around Israel without even having to rent a car!
