This large beachfront property in exclusive North Chatham boasts 180 degrees of view, view, view. Look south to the fishing fleet and the outlet to the sea; east to Tern Island (a bird sanctuary), North Beach, and the Atlantic; and North to the town landing, Minister's Point, and the new North Beach break. Sip your morning coffee and watch the sunrise, or enjoy your afternoon drink in the fading light, watching the terns and gulls, the fishing boats, or the seals on distant sandbars.

Sleeps 10 adults comfortably (4 suites for couples + 2 rooms with twin beds), plus there is a twin in each of 2 dressing rooms that adjoin master suites for children.
Two beautiful master bedroom suites with fireplaces, private decks, dressing rooms (each with a bed for a child), and baths; two double rooms with private baths; and two single rooms make this home a great place for multiple couples or a family. The house also has a small kitchenette or bar, and a second ''cocktail'' porch with picture windows. Lots of traditional comfort, beauty and charm!
Walk to the beach, bring your boats
Bring your own sea kayaks, sailboat or motorboat, or rent boats locally. The property has a private path to its own small beach and is close to a Town Landing. Town allows 2 weeks' anchorage without a mooring, and kayaks or rowboats can be kept at the end of the path on our private beach. Walk and ''tidepool'' on the sandbars at low tide, birdwatch on Tern Island, and sunbathe or swim from the private beach. Take your own or rented boat to explore Chatham Harbor, Pleasant Bay and uncrowded North Beach. Walk to the Fish Pier for your fresh daily catch, then grill dinner in the back yard. Kids can play croquet or Frisbee on the large lawn, roll down the hill, or fly kites. Watch the Chatham lighthouse beam across the night sky.

Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1948
Our extended family has been vacationing in Chatham for over 70 years. My grandfather bought Turntide in 1948 and retired there shortly afterward. We have all spent our childhood summers enjoying sailing, tennis, the fish pier, and many many band concerts!
Why the Owner Chose Chatham
My grandfather chose Turntide over another well-known location (now the Wequassett Inn!) because he loved the view to the ocean, the fish pier, and that it was walking distance to town.
The Unique Benefits of this House
My favorite part of the day at our house is early morning sunrise, watching the seals in the harbor, and the fishing boats heading out. Evening light is just as spectacular, the colors so rich ... My kids favorite part of the house is the land -- there is lots of room to run around before and after the beach. They still roll down our hill (not recommended for light stomachs), play croquet, practice soccer, toss frisbees, and -their favorite - compete to capture the flag.
We also enjoy our house during storms. You can see it all happen over the waterfront, while being cozy inside.
