Lovely Midtown Apartment

We recently traveled from California to NY to visit our daughter and rented this 1 bedroom apartment in NYC for a week. The size of the apartment is very nice and open with great views, a deck with chairs and very comfortable well selected furniture. The kitchen is well outfitted, the apartment was very clean making the entire experience not only easy but also so much better than staying in a cramped hotel room. We loved the very walkable neighborhood which allows you to feel as if you live there rather than like a tourist. I will for sure stay at this location again when traveling to NY. In addition, the owner was very helpful and accessible in set up. It was a great rental experience.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+.

Having lived in NYC before, I found the location to be perfect. Near the E, M and #6 trains, you pretty much can connect to the whole subway system. You can buy a Metro card righyt on 48th and 2nd at Turtle Bay Chemists. You have the Morton Williams and Food Emporium supermarkets right on 2nd Ave. It's a very nice doorman building and the atmosphere is great. It also has a gym inhouse in case you want to work out..although we didn't have the time with so much to do. The apt. is on a glorious 34th floor with spectacular views of midtown. It was quite spcious with a large bedroom and dressing area. We felt very comfortable and at home there..almost like staying at a friend's place. The owner Fred was very nice and accomodating . He answered all my questions and concerns promptly and I was able to get in touch easily with him if I needed. Upon arrival, you arrive at the concierge desk and all you do is sign the registry book and receive the keys..when leaving, just leave the keys with the same person..it was very easy. He provides basic kitchen ammenities along with clean towels, beds made, toilet paper and paper towel in the kitchen..very convenient upon arrival, so you don't have to think of such details. The only thing I could think of was the lack of cable TV and microwave. There is a TV with the local channels. But, if you're as busy as we were, you won't miss it. We were very happy during our stsay there and reccomend it highly. Fred is an easy person to deal with and the property gives you the chance to feel as if you lived in town. Great experience!
