Year Purchased: 2005
I came for a ski vacation when I was 20 years old from Oswego, New York and never left. I was an avid skier at Snowbird in the winter and worked for Miller Paving in the summer. I purchased the Silver Fork Lodge in 1993 and the Bear Trap Lodge 2006. My move to the Salt Lake Area has given me a rich full life, many good friends and challenging obstacles. LIFE IS GOOD!
Why the Owner Chose Brighton
I have a love for the mountains and outdoor recreation, and I thought it would nice to give people the opportunity to experience some of what I enjoy. I have one business on one side, another on the other and my home is between the two.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin Like Lodge
For summer it is nice to walk out the door and immediately experience fresh mountain air with a hike up Bear Trap Fork (minus the bears nowadays!!!). For those not into the hiking scene, three miles up the road is Silver Lake with a boardwalk around the lake and a definite possibility of sighting a moose hanging in the willows or romping in the meadow. Winter time brings you a very short commute to either Brighton Ski Resort or Solitude Ski Resort. Snowshoeing or Cross Country Skiing is just out the door.
