  My large, extended family has been vacationing in Aruba for the past 30 years, as my grandfather settled in Aruba long before anyone had heard of this paradise. We have stayed in his private house, time shares all over the island, and several hotels. We have never experienced a vacation as relaxing, luxurious, let's just say as perfect as we did, staying at this magnificent house. First, the pictures do not even come close to showing how meticulous this property is. The house is massive and was perfect for accommodating our large group. The furniture and decor is tasteful, in fact, so much so, that we never wanted to leave. We only ate out twice in the 10 days that we stayed. The location is perfect because it is only a five minute drive from the excitement of the large hotel strip, yet it was far enough away from the crowds to make us feel like we were on our own private island. The view from the pool was a combination of the dessert golf course and the open ocean. And, at night, the whole house looked so beautiful with the lighting around the pool. The owner was so wonderful to work with us, giving us great suggestions and was more than accommodating in returning our deposit in a timely manner. Needless to say, we are already planning our return for next year.

  I just returned from staying at this villa and it is a wonderful home. The location was great as described on his website. The villa was very clean and well maintained. The owner was a pleasure to work with. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend and relative.

  Our stay during our Christmas vacation in 2010 was great. The house is very nice and was found to be quite clean upon our arrival. We slept 9 comfortably. The house met all of our expectations. The owner was easy to deal with and Rik the caretaker was very helpful. Highly recommend.

  My wife and I decided to rent this breath taking house with a group of friends this past spring. Absolutely one of the most incredible vacations I have been on thus far. Aruba itself is one of the best tropical destinations; however this property is truly what made our vacation spectacular. Every detail of this house is beautifully furnished, both inside and out.. with open rooms, elegant landscaping, and modern yet tropical décor. The privacy and exclusivity of the property made us feel like we were vacationing on our own private island, yet the accommodations offered by Tierra del Sol gave us everything we needed for a luxurious stay. Property is no more than 5 minutes from the nightlife offered by the major hotel area which allowed us to join the hustle of hundreds of other vacationers; however the veranda/pool area overlooking the golf course and water made it very difficult for us to leave the property at all. All in all – the rental process was a breeze, the super in charge of the property was available at our request, and the owner was extremely informative and made himself readily available with any questions we had about the house. Truly paradise, and definitely a must if seeking a one of a kind vacation experience!

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

  Let me first just say that this place is enormous and very well-designed. Great for big families and groups of friends. My husband and I stayed there for about a week and half with 2 other couples and their children. The place is perfect for socializing and enjoying the serene ocean and island views. The whole house is in new and clean condition... spacious bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, huge and modern kitchen. We loved the sound system that was built into the walls throughout the first floor, including the outdoor / pool / bbq space, which was also very expansive and well thought out. The owner was very responsive, accomodative, and easy to work with. It was a pretty seamless rental process from start to finish and we definitey wouldn't hesitate to rent from him again in the future. And there's a super on hand down there whom you can call if anything comes up. All together, I would highly recommend this rental. Especially for those looking for something peaceful, well-maintained, and with a smooth rental process.

  I rented this property as a family residence for my son's wedding. It exceeded all my expectations. The pool is wonderful and at night with the underwater lights--this is paradise. the house is very well cared and the floor plan is inviting for a large group (we had 11) The views are beautiful--you see the lighthouse, golf course and water on both sies of the island. Also, just minutes to the beautiful beaches and 5 minutes to the hotel strip.

  This is a wonderful, spacious home that easily accommodated our family of ten. We stayed for a week. We enjoyed our time there and recommend the home for a quiet getaway. Its is amazingly quiet and superbly built. It is across the street from the clubhouse and their excellent pool and workout facility. The view from the third floor deck of the home is a 360 degree vie - stunning and spectacular! Although the view from the pool on the main floor to the ocean is blocked by a house across the street. The gourmet kitchen is amazing although getting groceries requires planning and is a bit of a hassle and distance. The pool is a great touch too. Warning...Be sure and understand with the owner ALL of the requirements he has for cleaning, exercise passes etc. While I think it was just vague miscommunication, he kept our security deposit for nearly 6 months and then returned only 2/3 of it after alot of debate over some mysterious who was to wash the sheets, towels etc on the day we left. It left a bad taste in our mouth and was irritating. Rik, the caretaker, is worldclass and knows everything and everyone. The flowers are amazing around the property. We enjoyed our visit to Aruba very much and the home was everything we thought. Recommend it very much just be very clear with the owner what you are getting into.
