  We had the most wonderful quiet week. Everyday we heard the loons and most of those we saw them too. My husband fished every single day (we brought a small fishing boat) and the kids (in their 20s) used the kayaks as much as they could. We went to the Black Mountain Inn and had wings and chili (very good). Also had pizza at Pete's Ahhh. We explored both North Creek and Warrensburg and shopped both of the Grand Unions. Next time I would bring more food with us so we wouldn't necessarily need to get to town. I am so impressed by your place, so beautiful and very very clean....it was the best vacation we have had.

  Everything about this rental is perfect! The home is spotless and very comfortable with lots of space for lounging, cooking, eating together, and playing games. My husband and daughter lounged inside listening to music, and I was just feet away soaking up sun on the deck watching my son paddle a kayak in the lake. There are several short walks close by, and the stars at night are just breathtaking. This was truly a getaway for us, and we accomplished our goal - to unplug from our electronics, experience some peace, and reconnect as a family (our children are 15 and 16). The biggest hit? A competative, laughter-filled session of SpongeBob Monopoly. Who knew? We are so glad we found this home! The owners are easy to contact and truly want their guests to have a good time. It's obvious that they take pride in their home and enjoy sharing it with others. They left a binder with clear instructions, answers to questions we never would have thought to ask, and suggestions for places to eat and things to do. You won't see many cars or people, perhaps a few neighbors taking a walk, but you will see a gorgeous lake view, lots of trees, and, if you're lucky, a loon or two.

  This beautiful home on the quiet and serene Garnet Lake in the Adirondacks will NOT dissapoint you! The layout of the home was awesome, it was super clean, and it felt like home in every way possible. The kayaks/paddle boat, fire pit, dock, fishing all were so easy to utilize. We have three children ages 6, 8, and 12....all had the time of their lives and we as parents were stress-free!!!! Garnet mining is close by and everything else is easily accessible, yet you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. Restraunt recommendations were spot-on (Black Mountain EXCELLENT suggestion...thank you). We have found our new vacation spot/fall weekend getaway...and looking forward to coming up for some Gore Mt skiing. Also the trails around the house were incredible (75% of land is state owned 'Forever Wild' land) and the very few neighbors around the lake were extremely polite/friendly. We have stayed in many vacation homes over our 18 years of marriage, and my wife and I are most impressed by what this "GEM" of a house has to offer. The owners were very helpful and so prompt with responses!! Thank you for the start of a new family tradition for us!! It is HEAVEN!!!!

  Our week was amazing.... the weather was perfect.....the only rainy day we had was Friday, and it was a good day to stay in and play games. The lake is not only beautiful, but sparkling clean. We caught enough fish to feed 10 people on Thursday night, and we didn't even keep the 4 lb 6 oz bass that one of the boys caught. We kayaked every day, hiked up to the Lizard Pond and to the pond on Crane Mountain, and swam and fished a lot....

  What a beautiful home. The pictures do not even do it justice. The lake is spectacular and it was the perfect getaway for our girls weekend. The house was immaculate and well maintained and it was inviting and comfortable. We did not even venture away from the lake for the time that we were there. It had everything we needed for the perfect weekend. We are planning our trip for next year already! The Allens were great to work with and everything was easy!

  We have rented a number of homes over the years, and all I can say is RENT THIS PROPERTY! It is very well maintained and is definitely homey! It is immaculate, and everything is in proper working order. Even the beds were extremely comfortable, which is a rarity in many rentals. A hearty thank you to the Allen Family for having so much pride in their home.

  Lovely, new home on a beautiful, small and quiet lake. Having kayaks available to guests is a big plus. Would definitely rent this property again.

  Your Cabin was a lucky find. It has everything we wanted; beautiful with a wonderful lake view and well appointed. We kayaked, hiked Auger and Tenant Falls, and spent a day at the Adirondack Museum. We cooked most meals in and enjoyed reading and just relaxing. It was really special to sit on the deck and listen to the loons.

  We had an amazing time. There was so much to do. We went hiking at Auger Falls, fishing, swimming, and much more. Your home is very beautiful and has a ton of amenities. We can't wait to go back again next year.

  Thank you so much for welcoming us into your home away from home. The accommodations and amenities were more than we expected and made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. We enjoyed many leisurely walks along the lake, kayaking, the drive to Gore Mt. and visiting North Creek. Many memories created and lots of stories to share with others. We hope to be back again soon! Thanks again for sharing your cabin with us.
