Our home is located in the gated community of Lake Almanor Country Club (LACC). LACC has four tennis courts, a basketball court, a nine-hole golf course and 2 lakefront recreation areas with boat launch, (known as Rec. 1 & Rec. 2), sandy beaches, barbeques, children’s playground and grassy areas, all within walking distance from our home.
Constructed in 1999, our home is one level, situated on a flat ½ acre with circular drive, and has all the comforts of home. It is a 3bd, 2ba (sleeps 6-8 comfortably) with 1 King, 1 Queen, 1 Double, 1 Single blow up bed and 1 sofa sleeper. The spacious living room, dining room and kitchen area have dramatic vaulted ceilings, wide plank pine hardwood floors and large picture window; giving a true great-room effect. The kitchen has tile counters, pine cabinets, a center island with its own sink, and breakfast bar with custom-made log bench. The large master suite has a French door to access the rear deck and yard. The adjoining bath has wide plank pine floors, double-sink vanity with tile counters & pine cabinets, and tile shower over the tub. The hall bath also has double sink vanity with tile counters, pine cabinets, plank wood floors & tile shower over tub. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are decorated with warmth and comfort and the entire home is decorated in classic log cabin throughout, including a custom made log table in the dining area.
The front and rear yards are nicely landscaped with large grassy areas for kids & adults to play. The afternoons can be spent sitting on the front porch in a rocking chair relaxing with a good book, or you can lie in the hammock and soak in the clear mountain air.
The Lake Almanor basin has an abundance of summer and winter activities- whether you fish, wakeboard, waterski, jet ski, boat, hike, bike, snowmobile or golf-all of these activities are at your fingertips. Lassen National Park is close by, the town of Chester is approx. 6 miles away (with it’s own airport), and Reno is about 2 hours away.
