Location: Lake Leelanau, Lake Leelanau, Northwest, Michigan, USA (20 Minutes from Traverse City)
Accommodations: Cottage, 3 Bedrooms + No additional sleeping rooms avail, 1 Bath (Sleeps 6)
Keywords: Cottage
Be our guests and enjoy life on the lake in our fully furnished, well kept waterfront cottage. With a wrap around deck and charcoal brick grill you can sit at the cedar picnic table or on the cedar deck furniture while grilling and admiring the peaceful view. Relax by the shore on the swing, hammock or many lawn chairs. Inside the cottage is a gas fireplace and fully equipped kitchen.
Located on the east shore of South Lake Leelanau, our lake frontage consists of a wonderful sandy bottom with a very gradual drop-off lending to an excellent swimming area for the entire family. We provide linens and bath towels, but you’ll need to bring your own beach towels and water shoes. 90 feet of dock with a hoist is available to moor your boat up to 17 feet. There is a public boat launch just minutes away and many places on the lake to fuel your boat. South Lake Leelanau connects to North Lake Leelanau by boat through the natural preserve of the Narrows. Canadian geese, Great blue heron, muted swans, ducks, and beavers are just a few of the residents there. No wake through the Narrows though, so as to not disturb. Boat all the way to Leland to dock for dining and shopping.
Enjoy all types of water sports on the lake and while at the cottage try kayaking as we have 2 available to use and there is no better place to enjoy an easy paddle. There is great fishing (perch, walleye, bass, pike, lake trout, etc) on Lake Leelanau and we have one of the hottest spots right out front!
If you plan to venture away from the cottage, there are many nearby places to visit. Sleeping Bear Dunes (and the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore), Lake Michigan, Leelanau Sands Casino, art galleries, over 40 vineyards on the Leelanau Peninsula, quaint towns of Suttons Bay, Lake Leelanau, Leland, Glen Arbor and Northport to name a few. Traverse City is about 20 minutes away. If you love to golf some of the best Michigan has to offer are here in our area for all skill levels.
This area is very popular for road biking and hiking. If you prefer a bike trail, the Traverse Area Recreation Trail (TART) and the Leelanau trail are close by. Bike tours, road races, area running races, and the local art fairs and festivals make this area a premier destination.

We had a great time and the cottage worked out perfectly for us. Appreciated all the amenities it had to offer and it was immaculate on our arrival. Great sunsets, swimming, and firepit! Other family members who stayed elsewhere during the same week loved it too.

From the minute we stepped in the door, we had everything we could possibly need to enjoy a beautiful lake getaway. The cottage is thoughtfully equipped and makes vacationing with kids a breeze. It was exceptionally clean and obviously well-cared for. The huge deck and grill made it so easy to prepare meals as the kids played in the huge back yard and splashed in the water. We enjoyed everything from kayak rides all over the lake to the gorgeous sunsets from the backyard swing. The dock and boat lift were very convenient and easy to use. We loved cruising around the lakeshore and soaking up the beautiful scenery. We've lived and vacationed all over the world, and this is our favorite! This was our second visit, and we're already planning next year's trip to Sunsets & Serenity on Lk Leelanau!

We had a fantastic time during our stay. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We loved the large lot, the lake and the kayaks too. The neighbors were also very welcoming and friendly. They shared their Sunday paper and invited us over for S'mores. We really liked the location as well, as we were close enough to visit several of the "up north" towns. We'd definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the area. Thanks Scott and Cindy! Everything was perfect and it was great meeting you!

Cindy, we had a great time at your cottage. The place was very clean and tidy. We found that the kitchen had everything we needed. The bath towels soft and abundant, the beds comfortable, the gas fireplace a nice plus to take the edge off on the chilly mornings, and the shower was nice and hot. The location was perfect. Less than a half hour to all the fun little towns nearby. The kayaks were a big plus also. Not a single complaint!! Next time we make a trip back to the area, we will be sure to contact you. Thanks again. Lisa

My family and I stayed at the cottage for a beuatiful week in mid September. The cottage was perfect. We especially enjoyed the views from the deck and cooking on the built in charcoal grill. Also, the beds were more comfortable than our own at home!

Cindy and Scott, Our family had such a wonderful week at your cottage. We were so impressed by the perfect location! The lake was perfect for our kids (age 7, 5, 2 and baby). It was great to have the dock for our boat. We enjoyed all of the extras like the kayaks, kid toys, life jackets, nice lawn furniture, firewood, etc. It made packing easy! What a quiet location on a very friendly street. We highly recommended this cottage to other guests! The bedrooms are roomy, the home very clean, and the bathroom is nice and updated. What a wonderful spot to be to enjoy all that the surrounding area has to offer!

Cindy & Scott, Thanks so much for letting us stay in your play ground. As you know, we have been coming to the Leelanau area for 30+ years...we really loved your convienent location to everything. The home was the most clean place we have ever seen. Your beds were comfortable and the setting spectacular. Thanks also for the use of the boat lift, what a nice feature. The kayaks were a hit with the kids too. Our two oldest girls actually learned to ski this year, what a hit. Thanks again! Steve & Jane
