My husband and I rented Doug & Annie's house while building our home across the lane. What a perfect spot! The house was just the right size for us to live in for 3 months while we ran back & forth dealing with contractors and cleaning the building site. Every day we'd take the 5-minute walk to the beach to relax. The stunning views can't compare to anywhere else which is why National Geographic Magazine has photographed it and featured in their magazine. Annie & Doug have done a magnificent job stocking their home to accommodate any age group. My husband & I own a vacation rental on the island of Molokai in Hawaii and our standards are high. We both enthusiastically recommend this wonderful Seal Rock cottage for anyone who wants to get away from it all and experience what the Oregon coast is truly about - nature and relaxation!
Owner response:Karen, thanks so much for the surprise review for our house! That was incredibly nice of you...you know how nice, you have a vacation rental, too!

My guy & I stayed here for a week & had the nest time. The place was big & well stocked. It was clean, well-maintained & had a wonderfully private setting. We enjoyed our stay immensely.... all except for leaving my muffin pan behind. ^_^

This house was exactly what my family of seven needed. We enjoyed being able to walk to the beach, play in the tide pools, and return to the house to relax. The privacy of the property was a major bonus along with the nature trails. My fondest memory was waking up to my husband reading the books on the ocean to my five year old. Each of my kids look back on the trip to Oregon as their favorite place to go. We plan on renting this house again!

My husband, son and I stayed in this very cute, well laid out plan. There was plenty of room for us and plenty of our friends had they decided to join us. We will rent this house in the future.

My wife and i stayed for 3 nights at this lovely home and loved every minute. No it does not have cable/ Sat so what. Oregon is far too special to spend time indoors watching TV.. The house is not ultra modern in style but is very cosy and well equipped. It was great fun having a table tennis table in the garage. The grounds are beutifully secluded, and the whole area is very peaceful. The beach across the road is stunning. Rent this property if you want to experience this stunning area at a very resonable rate.

The house was clean, and well stocked. Very short walk to the most beautiful beach I have ever seen, lots of things to see at minus tide. We had a wonderful time. Books and toys for children. A very short drive to Newport or Waldport. No matter what my husband says not having cable at the house was the best thing ever, it kept us out of the house and on the beach :oD The book of brochers and thing to do was an amazing aide. If/when we make another trip to the coast we are going to try and book this house!
