Walk/Bike 1 mile to HHP pool. 4 Golf Courses within the Plantation (2 Public, 2 Private). 10 minute drive to public beaches/outlets. 15 minute drive to Sea Pines/Harbor Town.
Walk-in Shower. All new furniture. Deck with grill overlooking golf course. Sleeps 6 to 7 (1 Queen in Master, Full and Full/Single double bunk in 2nd). Sectional couch in living room can sleep 2 children if necessary.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
We love to play golf and ride bikes with our 2 boys (9 and 11). We feel a strong sense of serenity when we drive over the bridge onto the island; a feeling that our lives are slowing down and all is right.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our home is great for preparing home cooked meals and sitting on the deck watching the golfers on the 8th hole of Dolphin Head Golf Course. We can get anywhere on the island within 15 minutes and can also ride our bikes throughout Hilton Head Plantation to the intercoastal waterway, whooping crane conservatory or just down by one of the lagoons to watch the alligators swim by.

My wife and I have been coming to Hilton Head Island for almost 20 years. We had the opportunity to purchase my parents retirement home and did so in May of 2007. Through that summer we had the home completely gutted and renovated, opening up the floor plan and upgrading all of the appliances and furnishings.

My wife and I spent four great months here both for fun and work. The house is nicely appointed, with a beautiful kitchen if you enjoy cooking (we did). The new deck is roomy and overlooks the 8th fairway, with a few stands of palmettos between the deck and fairway for privacy. Master bath is updated with a terrific walk -in shower with rainforest showerhead. Lots of bikes and outdoor toys for the kids.Super quiet location with nice houses all around. Big bonus for us was the many places to walk. Flatscreen tv and home theater set-up. Enjoyed the fireplace on a few cool evenings. The wireless connection was great for working from home.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

The house is great - on the golf course but very private. The community is great. We enjoyed the nature, the trees and flowers. We came from 3 very different parts of the country and it was great to be together - the open living spaces and great kitchen made it possible for everyone to visit. Our stay was short, we would have loved to take advantage of the bikes and the pool. Everything we needed for a great long weekend was there.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We had a wonderful stay at your home. We found the open floor plan very appealing for socializing while cooking, relaxing or watching TV. The home was well equipped and we did not want for anything. The furniture was extremely comfortable. Having a bad back, I found the mattress in the master bedroom to be very comfortable. We enjoyed riding bikes throughout the community. All bike paths led to beautiful vistas and wildlife sightings. We would recommend this place to anyone who has a love for nature and tranquility.
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children.

The house is in a very peaceful part of Hilton Head Plantation. Kitchen was well equipped. Living space was very comfortable. Golf course view made a beautiful setting. The owners were awesome to deal with! Communication was timely and follow-through was fabulous. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at The Boathouse (right outside the back gate of the Plantation). Thanks for providing us with a great setting to spend the holidays.

This home was incredible. It had everything we wanted and Mr. Oswald was great at communicating so everything went very smoothly. The home and community was beautiful. The community it was in had a private beach that had lots of shells at low tide. I would recommend this home to anyone and we hope to have the opportunity to return next year.

Our experience at your house in HHI was fantastic. The patio with the view of the golf course was truly a relaxing way to spend the afternoon while at the same time the pool and bike riding were a fun filled day. The kitchen was a joy to cook in and nicer than my own. The master bedroom and bath was like staying at a hotel. You were truly a joy to work with setting up the details of our vacation. You made our vacation feel like a 5 star resort experience. Looking foward to our trip back next year. Thanks again.
