This beautiful home with private pool is located directly across the street from the gulf water. From your private balcony you can watch dolphins swim, seagulls fly or sit back and listen to the sounds of the waves. Open your French doors in your living area and listen to the peaceful sound of the air and Gulf. With four bedrooms, 2 king master suites and a bunk room on the first floor you will have enough room for your family to be comfortable. The beautiful modern kitchen is located on the 2nd floor along with the dining room, massive living area and large king master bed and bath. Located in the Avalon Estates you also have access to the private beach, community pool, tennis courts and shuffle board. You are also close to shopping at the Outlet Mall in Sandestin or Destin Commons. We are offering a Saturday to Saturday check-in / check-out. The property is owner managed and meticulously maintained and cleaned. Emerald Palace has granite countertops thru out the home - even in closets. It has every amenity you could want for a fabulous vacation at your home away from home!

We just got home and I wanted to write a review while the trip was still on my mind. We had the best week in this home and would have no reservations whatsoever about staying there again. There was a tropical storm in the area when we arrived, so it rained the whole first day we were there. The owners not only called to check in and make sure we were ok, they also came over and brought games and puzzles for our children. You will not find many owners as concerned about their guests as these two. They are great! My Husband and I vacationed with my Parents, our four Children (ages 6,7,13 and 16) and our oldest Daughter's 16 year old friend.There was more than enough room for everyone. The three younger kids loved the bunk room and pretty much stayed there or in the pool The two older girls enjoyed the third King room with their own full bathroom. The pool, from what I could see, is roughly the same size as other pools in the neighborhood, but there is also a great neighborhood pool. We had two adults and four kids in the pool at the house at the same time playing a game and there was plenty of room to have fun. There is also an alarm on the back door that you can set to go off if the door is opened. When you have small children, that is a huge bonus. The house is so close to the beach. We compared it to staying in a condo (waiting for an elevator, riding the elevator down, walking all the way down a boardwalk and finally arriving at the beach) and the house, by far, is so much closer and more convenient. You are literally on the sand at the private beach in five minutes. You just can't get that in a high rise building. We loved the kitchen and spent lots of time there cooking. The family room was very large and accomodated our whole crew during our "down time". All of the furnishings were lovely and the granite countertops throughout were certainly a bonus. There was nothing we needed that this house didn't have. I highly recommend this property and would give more stars if I could!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

The house and location were great. The house is as advertised with perfect views of the gulf. The bedroom upstairs was very nice with a bathroom area you could only compare to something you would see in a celebrities home. The livingroom area upstairs was huge and the kitchen was nice with all top of the line appliances. The bedrooms downstairs were nice but mostly used just for sleeping on our part. We had 6 adults and 4 kids and room to spare. We split our time between the beach and the community pool. The beach was just across the street with private gate access. The community pool was very big and exceptionaly maintained. The whole neighborhood was perfectly landscaped. The house is very close to several restaurants and shopping areas. Our favorite by far was the Crab Trap. We met the owners fo the home and they were both very nice wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. If we ever return to Destin we will stay here again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

We are a faimly of five -- 3 adult children, my husband, and myself. ALL of us thoroughly enjoyed the week we spent in this home in May, 2011. First of all, the location is PERFECT. It is just across old highway 98 and an open beach area -- so the view of the ocean from the 2nd floor family is breathtaking. The house itself is truly lovely and spacious with many high end finishes -- tall ceillings and doors, lovely woodwork and moldings, travertine tile, good kitchen, a master bedroom suite that would please the most discriminating of tastes. From the many large windows and atrium doors of the family room the vew of the ocean was AMAZING. And that was from the inside -- just wait until you step out onto the balcony and the cool ocean breezes.... The home also has a nice, but very small, private pool -- but a perfect size for lounging by in the late evenings. We also had access to the large neighborhood pool which is about a 10 minute walk from the home -- but since the beach is so close we spent most of our time there when we were not at home, As far as shopping and dining -- excellent choices are within walking distance, should you be so inclined. Captain Dave's is one of our favorite places and just a few minutes walk away. And there is something for just everyone when shopping at the huge Silverstrand Outlet Mall which is just a couple of miles away. It was our sincere pleasure to meet the owners while we visited in there in Florida - a very charming young couple with 2 beautiful children. They were in process of updating the TVs and electronic equipment in the home, so it will be even better when we return next time!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
