My new husband and I stayed at the Sandy Sea Inn Too for a short honeymoon. We used the Inn as our home base as we traveled up and down the Oregon and Washington Coast. The attention to detail in the Inn was what made the stay special. When we arrived, there was a small gift basket with chocolates, candles and bath salts for the Jacuzzi and a card "for the newlyweds". The kitchen was well stocked with condiments and various items. Although we brought our own food, we were easily able to pack for picnic lunches using some of the items in the pantry. The one complaint (and it's due to my taste, not necessarily a problem) is that the bed was too firm for OUR comfort. I know this is something that will obviously not please every person. All in all, the location was great. There wasn't a LOT to do in Westport itself, but using the Inn as our home base for other travel worked out quite well for us. We will definitely be back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We rented both cabins along with some friends and we all had a wonderful time! The kids especially loved watching movies (which were provided!) while sitting in the bath tub full of bubbles with the jets running. My favorite was sitting in the sauna and finally getting warm to my bones after this loooong cold winter. :) There were a few bikes that the kids could ride around the property and enough playspace that I wasn't too worried about them getting into the road. Unfortunately, the fire pit on "our" side of the property was flooded so I was really glad we had rented both cabins and could use the other one for making s'mores. The beds were ok, not the most comfortable but not the worst we've been on either and there was plenty of clean bedding which was nice. We didn't need to use the washer/dryer but I loved that it was there just in case. The only negative I found was the little sugar ants, which were bothersome but nothing terrible. Overall we had a wonderful vacation!!! Thank you!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks I am glad it worked out well for you - the firepit being flooded was not a surpise, it rained 18 inches in a couple of weeks, it will clear up now that better weather is here. The ants were sprayed today - so should be gone.

What a great place to stay. Everything you could possibly need on vacation and then some. Very clean, comfortable and quiet place. Jacuzzi tub could actually hold 4 people. Sauna was amazing didnt even want to get out of it especially since it was a rainy/hailing/windy weekend. Never wanted to leave the cabin. In a great location a quick drive to catch crab and a quick walk to the beach to clam dig or in our case just to see the Huge Tides due to the winter weather. Will deffinatly be back in a couple of months for Razor ClamingRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for 2 nights at the Sandy Sea Inn, Too. Despite the lousy weather, it was nice and cozy inside the cottage. Lots of movies and games to choose from. Everything was clean and well-appointed. The jacuzzi tub and sauna were the biggest reason I chose this place and both exceeded our expectations. For such a small cottage, it makes great use of the space! That bathroom is like being in a spa! Even bathrobes to use! And the property manager is a doll. I told her I was taking my husband away as a surprise for Valentine's Day and when we arrived, she had left us a nice box of chocolates! I would definitely recommend this lovely cottage as a wonderful place to get away for awhile. My husband and I are going to come back during the summer months so we can enjoy some fishing and crabbing as well as antiquing.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The Sandy Sea Too was inexpensive and that was good, but we too had problems with mildew in the second bedroom. Our child was not able to sleep in there due to the smell. The place is small, but has a beautiful bathroom. We noticed strong smells from the septic system. I don't think we will stay again.Owner response: I am sorry about the septic, I had it pumped out, did not realize the problem smell was coming from there, this is the first time I have had to deal with a septic system , this has been a learning experience for me. as far as the bedroom, I think maybe the septic smell was seeping in there as it is outside that room. We had shampooed the carpet, washed the walls and scrubbed everything in that room and still the "musty" odor would come back. The smell is gone now, and the back room smells fresh and clean again. We used the Sandy Sea Too and the Sandy Sea Inn as a home base for our wedding party and it couldn't have worked out better. Everything was just cleaned and they even left us a nice bottle of wine to congradulate us on our wedding. The kids in the wedding greatly enjoyed hanging out there because they could sit by their "own" fire. The manuals for the tub and sauna we very much helpful! Only complaint that I have is that the master bed in Sandy Sea Too was a little hard for my personal liking but again that is just my personal taste. We very much enjoyed our time there and it helped making our wedding day perfect!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family and I came here for a night out together before my husbands deployment in 07/11. We had the time of our lives. We have a 3 and 4 year old and they also had a blast. We all fit into the jacuzzi tub and mind you i am 5'10 and my husband is 6'3. The place did smell like cleaning supplies but id rather smell that than not. Atleast I know the place was cleaned. Yes the fire pit is by the raod. But not too close and there is not much traffic. The neighbors were not that great and yes their place was a mess but we seen them and they were not mean just messy people. You can find that in any neighborhood. you cant control your neighbors. We loved the sauna, my favorite part. There are also fold out tables for you to eat from. Sitting together was not a issue for us.As for no oven, yes there is. its on the counter. Ant thing you might for cooking is provided. There were plenty of clean towels and bedding. Bath robes and slippers. Even russian hats that we had a blast with. games, movies, all the comforts of home. The mildew smell well here in wa state you have to sign a statement when renting about mold and mildew. We are in the rain forrest for god sake. Also being on the beach. If you cant find this place wonderful than you need to spend more than what the rate is and find yourself somewhere else. For the price you just cant beat this place. We will be spending my daughters 5th bday here because she asked. When my husband comes home for r and r on leave we will also be spending 3 days here. Just happens to fall on my 42 bday. Cant think of a place id rather go to spend with my family in the area. We love it. Dont change a thing. ps love all the extras and fire wood provided for our use.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Happily the house next door has been purchased by a man who has done lots of improvements and really cleaned up the place - it looks great now. We are grateful to be able to provide our deployed men and women and their familys some much needed relaxation. We are happy to have this family back and hope they will have the same great time as before - Manager

Felt the photo was deceiving. The fire pit and yard is right next to the road. Next door is a neglected house with junk in the yard; it is for sale. Hardly comfortable sitting outside next to it and the road. Walked into the cabin to a very strong smell of cleaning stuff. All floors were sticky with something. Very strong mildew smell in back bedroom and laundry room; we shut those doors. No kitchen table or anywhere to sit comfortably inside to eat a meal together. Also no oven. Booked for 2 days but left after one. Decided to head home so we could enjoy dinner at our own table. Will not return.Owner response: You can't please everyone all the time, a lesson we all learn early on in this business. We have a breakfast nook with two tall chairs- I guess these were unoticed by the guests, also why did they move the glass tablefrom the side of the cabin under the porch if not to have meals together? They did not call me to address any of their concerns. The strong cleaning smell, yes, guilty - we clean between guests. The sticky floor was a result of the guests arriving early and the floor was still damp. I have asked my cleaner to wipe dry with rags from now on. The musty smell in the back bedroom has been taken care of, deep cleaned even before this review. This is the beach, it gets musty at times. The fire pit and the new picnic table are in the yard in front of the cabin, there is little traffic here and most guests do the fire at night, when there is even less. Its unfortunate that the house next door has junk in the yard, the people just moved out and have not been back to clean it up, I will look into that, but its not part of our property.

We spent an amazing week here. It was perfect for our family of 5, with kids from 10 - 18 we are not always one size fits all. Our dog enjoyed the beach and the yard. The boys enjoyed a "pool party" in the tub. My daughter enjoyed the wifi access and tub as well. The sauna was perfect for warming up after playing in the ocean. We felt right at home and able to relax and reconnect. The best vacation we have ever had. Had the opportunity to stay there this past weekend. Found the unit to be clean, accessible, and everything worked. Love the sauna! Kitchen is very well stocked. The Jacuzzi tub worked fine, as did all appliances. Little bit of water in the front parking area, - but a big storm had just moved through. I'd classify this as a 'no frills' type of place, but it's clean, tight, close to the beach, and has everything you need if you're looking for a 'base of operations'. Rental agent was very helpful and anxious to make sure we had all we needed. The owner was there this weekend as well and offered good tips on where to clam, etc. We plan on going back this summer for a longer stay.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I guess we got stuck in the middle of "DROPPING THE BALL" and trust me we felt it the whole trip! The bedroom needs some work, mostly the BED. That matress has to GO. The matress on the futon..sticky to the touch. The Kitchen struck oil! A fine layer of GREASE on everything NOT inviting at all. The kitchen fausit sprays everything but in the sink. The back room, Had a overwelming smell of mold. The bathroom, well I wish it smelled of mold, but instead it was ingulfed with the smell of URINE that floated into the livingroom and bedroom. While using the restroom, you could not help but GAG! The Jacuzzi looked GREAT. But looks can be deciefing. 8 jets, ONLY 3 worked. O'yes NO DRAIN PLUG. Can't hold water with out that. We had to go buy a drain plug the next day. Do not look at the ceiling in the bathroom...creepy. Outside of the cabin was not very well kept. Random trash, Radiator Jugs, just messy. BTW. We replaced the batteries in all the remotes. I should have taken the hint not to stay here when I called multiple times and never got a return call. Also the lady that helped us was very rude and acted as though I was interupting her work day. I was not pleased with her customer service. I will look for this from now on take that as a lesson to STAY AWAY! We was also told to use the key in the lock box and return right away, keys would be in the house waiting for us to use....NO KEYS. I was very disappointed with this whole stay. WAS not what I expected. We have stayed at many rentals and this one is by far the worse. I will not be refuring this one to any of my friends or family, as they deserve better. This cabin just needs some TLC and ATTENTION and I'm sure it will be perfect. Would consider giving it another chance if I know things have been looked at, CLEANED and FIXED!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

In it was phone no#s of close by help, redundancy for keys, etc. This was not read it could have sloved most of the issues. We immetiately deep cleaned the house. The Sandy Sea Inn,s have been satisfying clints for five years with great reviews We cherish our guests an earnestly cater to their needs to create a relaxing wonderful experience. How could one stay in business if this review were true? Why would renters stsy four days in what was described? Why would one consider a return vist? I have stayed at the Sandy Sea Inn II 3 times now, and I absolutely love it! It's very clean, cozy and relaxing. I love the jacuzzi and being so close to the beach. Cable TV is always a plus. I enjoyed drinking wine and watching movies. :) I would recommend this place to anyone. It's close to the grocery store, marina area, and within short walking distance to the beach. I have absolutely no complaints.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had an awesome time at both cabins. Very stormy, windy weather. Our dogs ran on the beach and chased birds & each other. We ate at the One-Eyed Crab and Mermaid Deli on friend recommendations. Yummy! On our last day, we'll stop by the lighthouse and winery. Oh, on the way to Tokeland, stop for cranberry fudge at the information booth at the Pacific County line. The sauna was great, fire pit and making s'mores. Cheers!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/2
