Condo was very clean and comfortable. The location was exceptional....close enough to walk into West End but far enough away for peace & quiet. The only thing we could hear in the evenings were the waves crashing on the beach just a few yards away.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Glad you enjoyed my little piece of paradise! I hope you can return. thanks for sharing how you felt about the place, it means alot. Thinking of you at sunset

Had a great stay, looking forward to coming back longer. Our friends who were new to the island were very pleased as well. Place was just what it looks like in the pictures. And the caretakers were even more helpful than necessary. Walk to town and all the bars/restaurants was not bad at all and the dive shop picked me up every morning right on the dock. If I had to find a complaint it was that we didn't see a turtle in the bay (but there are plenty in the ocean)Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+.
Owner response: Thanks for sharing with us how you enjoyed the condo. We love hearing from our guests and the experience the had! Glad that the property managers were hospitable, they are wonderful! Maybe you will find a sea turtle if you return one day.

We really enjoyed our month at Turtle Bay Condo in Roatan. The condo was spacious, well equipped, comfortable and in such a beautiful and peaceful setting. The surroundings were really lovely. The managers Lisa and Stuart who live upstairs are a fun couple and were very helpful in getting us settled in and familiar with the area. It was a 20- 30 minute walk in to town which was great for us as we like to walk while on vacation. We took a taxi home at night. Lisa recommended a driver that we would phone who was very friendly and always available.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you so much for leaving feedback, it will help other people from around the world to enjoy this beautiful piece of paradise. Glad to hear that all went well and Lisa and Stu were very hospitable! Hope you can come back one day!

We had a super vacation while visiting Roatan and spending a week at Danielle's cottage. Lisa, manager for cottage lived upstairs, met us at airport. We stopped for groceries before arriving at cottage. Everything was in order upon arrival. Stuart, Lisa's husband, is a dive instructor. We spent the week diving with Stuart, he is a remarkable dive instructor, my diving skills improved with his help and instructions. Lisa was always available for our needs, both were so kinds to us during our stay. Be sure to say hello to Henryette, hummingbird nesting over table on veranda. That is our name for hummingbird. Lots of bird watching while having early morning coffee on veranda. Grounds leading to pier were well kept. Please consider staying here, you will not regret it. We plan to return to Roatan soon and make arrangements with Danielle for our lodging.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: Donald, happy to hear that your vacation was superb! Those hummingbirds are spectacular, I am sure they will still be there when you return. I will be sure to pass all the compliments on to Lisa and Stu, they are quite the hosts!

This was a great little house right on the beach front. The house is far away enough from town that it feels like you're in your own tropical paradise, but still close enough to walk to town on a daily basis. The house was very comfortable, but was definitely a tropical house. During our stay there were tons of sand flies on the beach, so we didn't do as much laying in the sun as we'd imagined. The reef at the end of the bay is gorgeous, and we highly recommend snorkeling out to it if you get the chance. Lisa, the property manager, and her husband Stuart were wonderful and they were a great resource to have: they helped us out in a few tight situations. Stuart is a dive-master at a local shop, and helped my wife and I get our dive certification.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

Danielle, your beach front property was beautiful. Our weather was not superb (the hot showers and kitchen were a definite plus!), but Stuart made sure that we got in as much diving as possible. And the diving was gorgeous! Lisa was very helpful with anything we needed to find including restaurants, bars, fruit stands etc. All in all a very comfortable stay, and I can't wait to get back! Thanks so much.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: Hi Jessica, Glad that you were able to check out a lot of the underwater beauty that the island has to offer. Lisa and Stu are both wonderful hosts! Indeed, the kitchen is quite nice when the weather is not cooperating with plans. Hope you have better weather if you get a chance to come back and visit again. From my paradise to yours, Peace & Health

Hi Danielle: Your property on Mangrove Bight suited us to a T. We found it to be clean, beautifully set up, and very peaceful.... especially after dark. We made great use of the patio and the palapa every day that we stayed. The full kitchen was a godsend, with so much wonderful food available it was never difficult to talk ourselves into pescado frito grilled shrimp, or tacos de langosta( the ultimate decadence). Lisa and Stuart shine in their roles as property managers. They provided all that we needed there, and were a never ending source of information and tips.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+.
Owner response: Arlene, I am thrilled that you enjoyed your vacation, Roatan and the property. I am so happy that you are ready to book for next year! You will receive return customer discount too, what a bonus. The palapa is one special place, that is for sure. Thanks for the great review!

My husband and I just returned from a 3 week stay here. This was our 3rd visit to the island and truly, we loved this place the best. If you are looking for High End 5 star all inclusive, not the place for you. But if you are looking for local Island feel, total quiet and relaxation, then this is it. The place had everything you need. WE loved spending some days just relaxing on the dock, and floating in the bay. The new Gas BBQ was a great surprise as grilling those lobster tails is a must do. Stuart and Lisa, thank you thank you thank you. Your rock! Very helpful on many occasions. We will be back next year - hopefully for a full month!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: Glad to hear that you had a wonderful time staying at our condo! We look forward to your return next year, I am sure by then the lovely garden will be more lush for those relaxing days in the hammock under the palapa. We love hearing from our guests that thoroughly enjoy the property and I know Lisa and Stu do as well. Until then, always sending a little sunshine your way from the Caribbean. Danielle

My girlfriend and I planned a diving trip to Roatan for two weeks. We were planning on staying at a resort but we really did not want the resort life or the high prices. We found this condo and it literally made our vacation. The condo is very clean with a nice island feel. We had our own ocean view and bay without a hundred other tourist next to us. We are able to snorkel in the bay right in front of the condo! The condo is a short distance from town and about a 15 minute easy walk. The ability to cook a few meals a day saved us a ton of money and there is nothing like having a great cup of Honduran coffee on the outside porch listening to the ocean for breakfast or sitting at the end of the dock enjoying a Salva Vida (Roatan beer) to end the day. I miss it just writing this review! The property managers Lisa and Stew were amazingly helpful. I can't thank them enough or say enough about them for not only making our stay perfect, but for also making us feel like members of the great community. If we had any questions they were more than happy to answer them or point us in the right direction. They helped us select a great dive shop and we eneded up diving 19 times in two weeks. Oh did I mention that Stew is a dive master! Our stay was fabulous and we are counting down the day until we are able to return. I almost had to restrain my girlfriend and drag her onto the plan to get her home. :)Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

This is a nice quiet peaceful place to stay. The sunsets are amazing from the private dock and the walk to West End is about 15 to 20 minutes or you can take a cab for 20 Limpira (1 US Dollar). The property manager Lisa Morgan made our stay the best ever, if you need or want to know anything ask her. If your there for Diving you can't go wrong diving with her husband Stuart he will make sure you enjoy your time and has a great sense of humor. Thank you very much for everything, we will be back. Owner info
Year Purchased: 2004
About the owner: I moved to Roatan in 1998 and bought this property in 2004. I currently (2010) live off island and have a full time property manager on site. I have seen many changes over the past 13 years and can help answer your questions.
Why the Owner Chose West End:
I choose to purchase this property because it is close to the main tourist town of West End but is secluded on a private cove with a gorgeous view, no noise from trucks or cars and no one passing through. We like to keep it this way and request that our guests do as well.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Bird watching, reading in a hammock, shell finding, watching the sunset, meditating, wave watching, listening to the sounds of nature and fly fishing.
