Perfect Beach Getaway

I can't imagine a more perfect place to stay in Puerto Rico. The view is as good if not better than the photos. The front gate of the building is mere steps away from the beach, restaurants, bars and shopping. The apartment is clean and beautifully decorated. The owner is extremely kind and will go out of her way to make sure you are enjoying your visit. If you are coming to Puerto Rico this is a spectacular place to stay.

Nice Place, Great View

My wife and I spent four weeks at Gloria's condo in Condado in early 2012. It is hard to imagine a more amazing place, with its balcony overlooking the ocean about 75 feet away. We kept the sliding glass door open 24/7 and could see and hear the ocean the entire time, as well as watch the small brown pelicans and Magnificent Frigatebirds occasionally soaring overhead. Sitting on the always-shady balcony watching the beach activities below, parasailers out in the ocean, and cruise ships going by periodically is quite relaxing, as is seeing the beautiful sunrises/sunsets and the rainbows that appear many mornings when there is a small offshore rain squall. With the almost constant breeze, we never used the A/C. Gloria's condo is very nice, very clean, well-appointed and furnished, with a travertine walled and floored bath and shower, nicely equipped kitchen and a coin-laundry in the building. The pictures on Gloria's website are an accurate depiction of the condo. The building and area are quite secure. We often walked around the tourist-popular area until 10 PM and felt completely safe. It is within walking distance of many good moderately-priced restaurants, a supermarket, and other useful shopping. The clean, modern city bus stops one block away and provides a no-transfer ride directly to Old San Juan about 15 minutes away. We rented a car across the street for two days so that we could take day-trips away from San Juan. In short, it is hard to imagine a more pleasant, convenient, and enjoyable place to be if you like the beach. And, making arrangements for the rental with Gloria was completely straightforward with no surprises.

Great location, beautiful view, perfect for 2

We chose Gloria's Condado condo for our week-long honeymoon in PR and it was just perfect. The view is spectacular -- literally overlooking the beach -- and the studio is just the right size for two people. Very clean, comfortable and centrally located. Gloria's done a wonderful job of making the condo comfortable and accommodating, including wifi and cable TV. And there's a small kitchen and fridge so you don't have to eat out for every meal, and a Walgreens on the corner. It's also right next door to the Mariott, which has a casino and WONDERFUL Italian restaurant. Easy cab ride into Old San Juan, and being next to the Mariott means you can always find a cab. Lots of other great shops and dining within walking distance, including a wonderful day spa (called Zen) and a fab Puerto Rican-Peruvian restaurant aptly named Puerto Peru. Our trip was slightly delayed by Hurricane Irene, and Gloria was very proactive in letting us know the state of the condo and surrounding area. We would definitely go back.

Gloria's place is PERFECT. It's ideally located, clean, sleek, modern and so adorably decorated! We LOVED coming home to her place each night. The place is right next to the Marriott and sits right on the ocean. With the glass doors open at night, you can hear the waves and wake up to the sunrise. Condado (the neighborhood) is an awesome. There so many restaurants, shops, clubs, and it's just a quick ride to Old San Juan. We absolutely loved our vacation in San Juan, and Gloria's condo was the main reason why!

Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My partner and I stayed here for five nights in June-July 2011 and we absolutely loved it. The pictures and description are completely accurate. Handling logistics with Gloria (the owner) was straightforward and pleasant. The location is fantastic; it is literally right on the beach. There is a parking spot, so it is easy to rent a car and tour different parts of the island as you please. Condado is a great place to stay, with cool shops and restaurants. We can't wait to visit again!

I will definitely be recommending your fabulous condo to everyone I know after spending 6 amazing days in Puerto Rico and in such a beautiful and well-maintained apartment! Not only is the apartment fabulous, but it is centrally located next to all the best bars/restuarants and stores Condado has to offer. It's even within steps from the beach! In addition to the great apartment, Gloria (the owner) was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was extremely accomodating and helpful when making recommendations on what to do, where to eat, etc. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when I return to PR!!!

I just spent 6 amazing days in Puerto Rico and could not ask for a better place to have stayed. The location is perfect - literally, steps away from Condado beach and very close to bars/restaurants. The apartment is already stocked with supplies, so I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to buy sunscreen, bug spray, shower gel, etc. My friend and I also saved money by cooking breakfast most of the days since the kitchen is also well-stocked and the supermarket is down the street. I am so happy we didn't stay in a hotel (the Marriott is right across the street if you want a good place to chill/go gambling) - the apartment is truly a better deal. I miss waking up and stepping on the balcony and seeing the ocean!

Walking to many eateries, shopping and public transportation. The parking was easily accessed and secure. The condo was nicely furnished and well equipped. Bedding and seating very comfortable. The walk-in shower was great after a day on the beach, plenty of towels and beach towels too. Outside deck could use more comfortable chairs.

Puerto Rico Tip Off

We recently attended the Puerto Rico Tip Off Basketball Tournament and wanted the convenience that a condo affords. The location is wonderful. We enjoyed the local restaurants and Walgreens which is open 24/7 and located a block away. The gated parking area requires an electronic key to enter. A key is necessary to enter the lobby and to operate the elevator. We felt very safe and secure. The unit is clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The shower is large and has a sea shell inlaid floor with stone walls. The hair dryer, curling iron, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, sunscreens, toilet tissue, paper towels, tissues, and many other supplies are more than expected. The bed is comfortable and sliding glass doors beside the bed allow a nice ocean breeze. We would definitely recommend this unit.

The perfect vacation in "La Isla del encanto"

I don't know where to begin. From the moment you receive the keys to paradise, you already feel that you are on vacation. Gloria has not missed one detail in her beautiful beachfront condo. You arrive and you get a feel of security as soon as you go through the building's gate. The condo is immaculate and well equipped so that you don't have to worry about nothing but relaxing and enjoying. The views are worth a million and the location is perfect, within walking distance to cafes, restaurants, casinos and great nightlife. I will definitely be staying in this property again soon. I came to PR to just relax and I can certainly say...mission accomplished!

Great location at the best price!

We are from PR and wanted a romantic place for the first days of our honeymoon. This studio is clean and very well mantained. Just as described. It has an amazing view and it is located in front of the beach. With many great restaurants around and a Walgreens just a few steps. Take the bus to visit Historical Old San Juan. If planning to rent a car, you will have a free parking space included. This was our first experience renting and we were very nervous at the beggining, but the owner is a wonderful person and you will feel very confident dealing with her. We highly recommend this property. In fact, we are planning to return for our first anniversary ;o)

I will definitely be recommending your fabulous condo to friends and colleagues. The price is right, the size is perfect for 1-2 adults, the beach is charming and not over-crowded, and the studio has everything you need to be comfortable and content. Clearly, renting a condo can be risky. You don’t really know what you’re getting until you arrive. So I truly appreciate how, from the comfy bed right down to the toaster, you didn’t skimp on furnishings. It is nice to feel a little pampered (without spending a fortune) when vacationing! We have returned to this condo for another week of beautiful days in Puerto Rico, We treasure the location, the view, the tasteful decor and the proximity to Marriott for excursions, car rental and breakfast buffets. It is easy walking distance to neighborhood grocery stores, shopping and restaurants. The nightlife and people watching are lively. On top of that, the condo is perfect in every way. We are world travelers and consider this our best find of all the places we have stayed. Going on a cruise from Old San Juan? It is just up the road and an easy $15 taxi ride. Stay here for a week before or after that trip! Don't bother looking any further... you won't find any better!!

Perfect Getaway for Couples

My wife and I flew into San Juan the day after our wedding and found the condo to be absolutely the perfect. The pictures she shows on here do not do the condo justice! This condo is literally ON the beach. The view is perfect and the location is phenomenal, right by the Marriot and lots of restaurants and only a 5 minute drive to Old San Juan. The size is perfect for couples and the room includes a refrigerator, sink, and stove so if you're looking to save some money you can cook at the condo. Gloria was an excellent person to deal with and was very accommodating to us. Nothing but great things to say! If you're looking to book, do it now! I promise you won't be disappointed.

This condo says,"relax you have arrived" from the moment you walk in. You can't get any closer to the ocean! The tropical breezes are non-stop day and night.....you can actually lay in bed and think you are on a ship Lots of suppies, paper towels, tp, tissues and nothing lacking in the kitchen. Loved the big screen TV with DVR. Location the best, easy food shopping across the shop at Walgreens and lots of small local eateries in the neighborhood. I highly recomment this condo. Paul

Best Deal on Condado Beach in Puerto Rico

This is condo is truly a hidden gem right on Condado Beach. The condo is a small, cute, studio, with everything you would need for a vacation-get-away. Location The Condo is just a stone’s throw away from the treasure which is Old San Juan, and directly across from the Marriot Hotel. Just a few steps away is Ashford Ave, where there is shopping, including Wallgreens and a gym. You can literally stay here with out having to take a cab to eat our buy things. If you do want to book a tour or see things, the Marriot next door has cabs, as well as a tourism desk. It’s very safe and comfortable at Stella Maris, so it’s not a problem to be out and about. Condo In my mind’s eye, it’s like staying at your favorite Aunts place. The owners keep the condo clean, and stock the unit with everything thing you would need for a trip. We were happy to find a coffee maker, pots and pans and utensils in the kitchen area. The bathroom was recently renovated is very sleek and modern. During our stay, we were able sleep with the balcony door open and feel the soothing ocean breeze, with out having to put on the air con. We spent hours having coffee on the balcony, and looking out on to the blue ocean, as far as the eye can see. Additional Stuff We Enjoyed We saved a lot of money by staying here because we did not have to go out to eat for every meal, and we could do our laundry right on the property. Next year when it gets cold back in Chicago, we will come back to this condo for sure! The pictures really can't express just how great this place is.

This property is located in central Condado on the beach next to El Canario by the Sea and the Marriott. It is also near restaurants, shops, buses and Walgreens. Having these amenities neaby is a plus. The unit is very clean, has a laundry facility on the premises and faces the ocean. The building and surrounding area is well kept. The local police are patroling the area via horseback and/or motorcycle/car, so, being in this area is fairly safe. I would recommend this property.

Amazing Owners and Apartment

My husband and I were impressed with the apartment from the moment we walked in. Everything was beautiful and well matained and Gloria was a wonderful host! I felt as if I was using a friends home rather than just renting. The location was to die for and offered a lot of options. You want for nothing in the condo and the acess to the beach is just outside the door. Also near a bus stop and the taxi pickup and all the restaurants Condado has to offer. I would say you would be a fool not to rent this condo.

My wife and I just returned from our honeymoon. It was our first time renting a condo so we did not know what to expect. Let me just say this condo was wonderful. It was right on the beach with the balcony overlooking the ocean. It was very safe and secure, and the studio itself was recently renovated and very beautiful. Gloria was incredibly helpful throughout, and we will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Puerto Rico!

Perfect Honeymoon trip!

We spent a week in this beautiful condo for our Honeymoon. Although the unit is small it was fine for just the two of us. When we got there everything was very clean and the furnishings are beautiful! And the view is just... wow! Laying in bed we almost felt as if we were on a cruise ship because all you can see is ocean. The beach in front of the unit is very nice (not too rocky like some parts of Condado are) and it was a lot less crowded than the Marriott which was right next door. We did not rent a car but there were plenty of options for food within walking distance from the unit! We highly recommend Miro's for seafood and Tayzan's for sushi! Cafe de Angel had great authentic Puerto Rican food and Latin Star had a very good and affordable breakfast. The Walgreen's is one block away and although it is pricey, you can get any basic's that you might need during your stay. The unit was also stocked with a lot of necessities. We felt very secure because you need a key to get into the complex, the building, and then each floor has its own key, on top of the unit having a locked door and gate. The owners were very responsive by e-mail and text message. We were so glad we stayed here instead of a hotel! I am sure we will be going back! Thank you!

"We just returned from PR after 2 weeks of seamless bliss in this extraordinary condo. This studio was gorgeous, new, cleverly designed and picture perfect—the best direct ocean view in all of Condado! Location is perfect. Parking included is the jackpot bonus as there is limited to no on-street parking around. The marble-tiled bathroom in the afternoon with its cool breeze is a little slice of heaven. The owners were incredibly patient, informative and attentive to every detail. This trip was particularly special as it was planned as a surprise engagement and Gloria was unbelievably helpful in every way, down to the actual venue of the proposal--- priceless. Mid-way into our stay there, Gloria reached out and checked in to make sure we were alright, that gesture alone shows the love and care of these fabulous owners. This studio truly felt like our home from the very first moment to the last. It was equipped with every single item anyone could ever need, utensils, mugs, dishware, cookware, extras of everything, toilet paper, paper towels, tissue boxes, beach towels, sheets, hand soap, dishwashing liquid, etc. There were maps and magazines on the table--- There wasn’t anything lacking ever! I hate to give it back but now feel like I have a home in PR to return to time and time again. We’re already planning our next trip and have shared with all our friends about this treasure. If you’re a couple looking for a perfect, romantic haven for your first or next stay in PR--- look no further, this is absolutely the place for you! "

My girlfriend and I just got back from staying at the property and we both were extremely impressed. The owners are prompt and easy to work with, the place itself was in imaculate condition, and the view off the balcony of Condado Beach was fantastic! A huge plus is the location... we were a 30 min drive from the rain forest, 10 min to Old San Juan (Check out the spanish fort), and 10 min from the airport. I really cannot imagine finding a better deal for what we got. Thanks so much Ladies!

Great stay!!!

This was our first time to PR and first time renting a vacation property instead of hotel. We'll likely stay away from hotels from here on out, and definately go back to PR! There is nothing like the freedom of having 'your own place.' This was the perfect location with ideal owners who made it a very simple affair. Right on the beach and everything you need a short walk away. Would definitely recommend it as a great place to stay. It being newly renovated is also a treat as everything was new and in good working order.

My husband and I were the first guests at this condo in January of 2009. We were celebrating our 1 year anniversary and we couldn't have found a better place to stay! We were looking for a beach location not far from Old San Juan as we were there during the Festival de la calle San Sebastian. We found just the right one! It was in the perfect location to hop on a bus to go to Old San Juan and see the sights or go downstairs to the beach for a day. Also, it's not far from the highway so we were able to rent a car and explore other areas such as Fajardo (highly recommend the kayaking in the bio bay!) and Ponce (not much to do there but the ride through the mountains is breathtaking!) All in all, we had a great time and loved the condo! It was completely renovated just before our stay and it was furnished and decorated beautifully! All the comforts of home and some I wish I had at home like the view of the beach and waves crashing that can be enjoyed while laying in the bed! Highly recommended! Would definitely stay there again!

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Owner response: We love to hear how much our vaction renters have enjoyed themselves. One renter called us upon arriving to our beachfront condo to say "I love your home away from home and I'm never leaving." Together we laughed and I told her "call us anytime for any reason." We want everyone to thoroughly enjoy their vacation in our beachfront studio in Puerto Rico and we shall do everything possible to make that happen.
