  • We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in mid September, 2009 by booking Unit 506 at White Caps. This was a return visit to this unit as we booked it for an all girl getaway during the summer. We could not have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. It was like a stay in paradise. The condo is so quiet and comfortable plus it has everything you could possibly need to prepare anything from a simple to very elaborate dinner. Best of all, the view is absolutely breathtaking. Although we did visit a couple of local restaurants, we chose to prepare several of our meals in the condo and dine out on the balcony overlooking the Gulf. Again, it was heaven. We stayed for a week and neither of us was ready to leave. We would highly recommend this unit for a vacation, honeymoon, or just a quick weekend getaway. There is so much to do. The pool (both indoor and outdoor), hot tub, tennis courts (uniquely located atop the parking garage) and workout facilities are up-to-date and very well maintained. The owners of this condo are wonderful people who will go out of their way to ensure you have an enjoyable and memorable stay. The lines of communication are always open and e-mails are promptly answered. They have made every effort to ensure that your stay in their condo is confortable, memorable and enjoyable.   • We stayed at White Caps condo #506 during the week of August 2nd, 2009, Everything was perfect! couldnt have been happier. The beach view from the wrap around PRIVATE balcony was breathtaking. Extremely comfortable king size bed in master suite made the trip that much more relaxing. Will definitely be coming back next year. A+

  • My family stayed at White Caps 506 for a week this Summer, this being perhaps our 4th or 5th year to do so. As always, the condo was in perfect condition, and was extremely clean and comfortable. Likewise, the management company was pleasant and professional. We look forward to next year there.

  • We stayed in Unit 506 at the White Caps Condominium for several nights in May, 2009. This condo is absolutely perfect. It is located right on the beach with a direct view of the gulf. The balcony is quite large and the patio furniture plentiful and very comfortable. This facility has a beautiful outdoor pool - beachside and a very nice indoor pool, hot tub and fitness room. There is also a very nice tennis court located atop the parking garage. The unit is tastefully decorated and very roomy. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a full size washer and dryer in the unit. The three bedrooms are all spacious and the beds extremely comfortable. There are two full baths and towels are plentiful and very absorbent. There are many area attractions nearby, miniature golf, dolphin cruises, bike rentals, etc. and very affordable. Also, there is plenty of "free" activities such as hunting for seashells, swimming, or soaking up the sun. The owners are extremely cordial and helpful. E-mails to the owner were always promptly answered. They have gone out of their way to provide an excellent home away from home. My family will return yearly.

  • This is our second stay at a VRBO property. This is the way to go. It was our first visit to this area. We were with another couple. We spent 4 nites at the end of February and had a great stay. (Temps hit 70 most days, a little above average.) Getting settled in was easy because there are carts on the ground floor next to the elevators to haul all your stuff to the unit. The unit was very clean and well maintained. It has wi-fi. We didn't hear any noise from the neighbors. The unit (#506) is on the 5th floor of a 15 story condo building called White Caps, directly on Orange Beach. It's a corner unit, which we really wanted. The balcony is huge with lots of chairs and a great panoramic view of the Gulf and the beach. Great place for drinks especially as the sun was setting. The bedrooms are a good size. Beds were comportable. The master bedroom faces the Gulf. The other 2 don't. All 3 BRs have a TV and each has a sliding glass door for access to the wrap-around balcony, which means we were able to leave the door open at nite and be lulled to sleep listening to the waves hitting the shore. The 2 full bathrooms were a real plus. The master bath was large. The second one was a little smaller but still plenty big. The family room has a sliding glass door with a great view of the Gulf, a large HDTV, a large (and comfortable) sofa and lots of lazy boy type chairs. There's a glass top kitchen table at the other end of this room with 6 chairs. The kitchen is large and has a full size fridge & stove, lots of utensils, glassware, wine glasses, a blender, etc. There are charcoal grills are on the ground floor. We ate in several nights and were able to hold down our food costs. Try the Royal Reds (shrimp), a local favorite. The trash shute is just outside the front door. The photos shown are accurate. Location is excellent. There are 3 full size grocery stores within a mile and lots of restaurants nearby. Check out Cosmo's for good food at a reasonable price. Doc's Seafood has the best onion rings and specializes in fried food. Gulf Shores is due west. Tanger Outlet Mall and its 120 stores is about 20 minutes away. We dropped a bundle there. Golf courses are plentiful and close by. Mobile made for a nice day trip. It's a little over an hour away. It was a little chilly to be swimming in either the Gulf or the outdoor pool, but the indoor pool and hottub were very nice. The workout room is in a room just off the indoor pool deck. There is one tennis court uniquely situated atop the covered parking garage. We'd definitely stay here again.
