Very quiet and private, newly built, post and beam cabin--one bedroom in the loft—in Polly Cove within Carvers Cove on the north side of the island looking across the Fox Island Thoroughfare to North Haven past Widows Island and Goose Neck Rock.
Two tent platforms (one in a tree) and tents if needed for guests or older children.
The balance of the cottage living area contains a spacious open floor plan with a full kitchen, dining room table for eight, and a living room area with a wood burning stove and a foldout couch that could sleep two.
Two sets of sliding glass doors provide spectacular views. From the wrap-around deck sit in the sun on the south side or on the north side watch the seals, blue heron, osprey and an occasional eagle dive in the cove; easy deep water access from a beautiful wide and shallow beach, in small kayaks and a row boat, next to a land preserve with hiking paths and a salt water marsh.
A composting toilet, solar heated showers and a hand pump for drawing water into the kitchen are all in keeping with maintaining a limited imprint on the land and its resources.
