  ...in a world-class location. My family has visited Maui many times both together, and independently, and Janet's lovely condo just blew all of our previous accommodations away (incl. some of the loveliest hotels in Wailea). The beaches (just 2 minutes from our balcony by foot) were as spectacular as the view which is exactly as seen in the pics. But as someone who is particularly invested in the actual details of the decor I was delighted. Everything is best-in-class. The quality of the furnishings, appliances and technology was premium. Janet attends painstakingly to the details of the unit (she was chaging the batteries in my bedroom tv remote upon our arrival). And the aloha that comes through is so warm and welcoming I am hard-pressed to imagine staying anywhere else in the future. From the labels on the lights, the full suite of beach gear, the book of area recommendations and amazing beds, to the fully stocked kitchen (with pristine utensils and equipment) - our expectations were exceeded. Thank you so much Janet for sharing your incredible and lovely home with us. Looking forward to my next trip :) Mahalo!!

  My husband George and I really enjoyed our Hawaiian retreat, preferring this condo to accommodation provided on some of our other resort vacations. The welcome basket was a thoughtful and considerate touch! After spending our days lolling around the pool or at the semi-private beach we would retire to the lanai to enjoy not only the tropical sunset but other breathtaking ocean views. Thank you for the information about the Pacific Whale Foundation excursions. We not only learned a lot about the humpback whale but we got some incredible photos as well. George and I will definitely be booking this condo for future vacations. We appreciated the personal touch -- it's nice knowing you were only a phone call away. We had a wonderful stay! See you soon.

  Wonderful holiday! Accommodations were both comfortable and beautiful. We have never stayed in accommodations so close to the ocean. Awesome view and sunsets! The Campbells

  Great place. Fantastic view. You all did a super job of renovating this condo. This is our 18th time to Maui since 1983 and the best place and time ever. We sincerely hope to be back November 2009!

  We had a fabulous time at Makena Surf! The view was spectacular. The location on the Turquoise cove gave us a wonderful private place for sunning and snorkeling. It was the very best Hawaii experience we have had. Thanks!

  The only place you can start…”the view”. Eleven out of ten people worldwide will go their entire lives without looking in the glory of a multi-million dollar view like this. Gorgeous turquoise, dark and jagged cove is lovely. Whales frolicking across the expansive horizon under the sun slowly called an end to the day. We had dinner thirteen out of fourteen nights watching the wonderful sunsets, then the moon and the stars from the lanai.The kitchen was near perfectly equipped to take advantage of the fresh catch, Mahi Mahi, Ahi, Marlin, etc.The kids, 8 and 2, enjoyed beaches, the pools and the Maui Ocean Center. We played together and even snorkeled with the local turtles.We had booked for eleven days and stretched the party budget to add three more. The staff was courteous, professional and available to help us with our needs. In addition we got lucky enough to meet the owners and look forward to future dealings with them. Great people!The suite at Makena Surf was a reward for four years without a real break or holiday. Heaven on earth!Thanks for everything, M, C, O, D and Grandma How/Eaton

  We are very sad because we are leaving today, but very grateful for a fabulous week in your wonderful condo overlooking a magnificent cove. We are taking with us many happy memories we’ll keep forever. We are a 3 generation family that just had the best vacation yet. Many Mahalos!

  Your place is spectacular with too many great things to list them all. We felt spoiled being able to get up and swim with the turtles, bodysurf and play golf…finishing the day in front of the flat screen watching the Canucks game. Thank you for the privilege of being able to share your home for a short while. We are leaving today and can’t wait to come back.
