A beautiful yellow farm house situated on top of a hill with gorgeous views of the ski mountains. The newly renovated kitchen with adjoining family and dining area is where much of it happens. There is, however, a beautiful second living area for others to escape to for piece and quiet where you can make a second fire, read or just watch TV.
Newly renovated master bedroom with ensuite and outstanding views of the mountain make for a romantic setting. While at the other side of the house is a lovely, carpeted bunk room for four. Upstairs there are two more double bedrooms with a shared bath.
Wonderful restaurant a mile away if you feel like having a night off from cooking.
The house will feel like it is yours the minute you walk in.

We LOVE this house. We have spent the last three winter breaks at Cockleburr Farm. The house comfortably accommodates our two families of large teenagers boys. The kids love the bunk room and the large living room where they can play xbox (okay, we bring it) and use the internet cozied up to their own fire. I adore the updated kitchen with every possible utensil where I can whip up a yummy meal after skiing or snowshoeing all the while conversing with the other adults in the family room by our own fire. The views of the mountain from the master bedroom are breathtaking. The kids love to skate on the pond or sled down the hill. It is minutes to Sugarbush and Mad River. Spacious, warm, inviting , well-appointed...truly our favorite home away from home.

Every year, our family and friends look forward to visiting Sugar Bush and this wonderful home! The minute we walk in the door, we relax. The home is clean, cozy and well equipped - the perfect combination of antique VT charm and modern conveniences. After a day on the slopes, we love to cook in the newly renovated kitchen with top of the line appliances and a large dining table. In the adjacent family room, we play board games, watch movies, read books - all in front of the roaring fireplace. The bedrooms are well appointed with everything families need - warm quilts, comfortable beds and charming furnishings. The master bedroom is secluded with a spa-like bathroom complete with a soaking tub. Everything you need for a relaxing vacation is here! Don't miss out on hiking, fishing, snow shoeing and, of course, hitting the slopes!

We were so delighted as we wound our way up the drive and saw the beautiful farmhouse at the top of the hill and even more thrilled when we entered this lovely home........The house was immaculately clean, organized and furnished comfortably. The kitchens feels new and is really well stocked with all that you'd need and there are gorgeous views from all of the rooms. Our family had a wonderful week of skiing, sledding and even some skating on the pond. The Mad River Valley is a great place for a holiday with great restaurants etc. We all look forward to coming back to Warren and we would certainly hope to stay in this picture perfect farmhouse.

The house is exceptionally well done, very luxuruous, clean, and lots of space for family and friends. We felt at home right away. The owners were extremely accomodating... having a plumber come out immediately when we had no hot water... having the driveway plowed immediately following a snow storm. There are lots of amenties beside the interior space. In the enourmous garage, they had snow shoes, sleds, lots of wood for making a fire in the two fireplaces. We brought our dogs and they had room to roam and play in the open back yard. They even have a huge pond but it was iced over at the time. Our only complaints are as follows. 1) They advertise having Internet/Wifi but later told us (during our stay) it rarely works. This was disappointing because my husband and I must work a bit on vacation. 2) The hot water ran low every time we showered. So our group of 6 staggered our showers through out the day. In addition, the master bath shower had minimal warm water due apparently issues with the pipes & fixtures. Considering the cost of the place, we expected perfection which is why we give it a "good" rating versus "average". No matter the issues, I highly recommend the place.
