Beautiful Waterfront Home on a Sandy Beach with all the amenities of home. This house is located on a quiet cove, perfect for a family vacation. After starting off by watching an incredible sunrise right from the house you can spend your day boating, swimming, picking sea glass, crabbing or collecting sand dollars on the beach... all right at your doorstep. Then step right from the Private Beach into the outdoor shower and take a nice hot shower for a true Maine experience.
Long Island is a year round community which became its' own town in 1993. As a stand alone community it has most amenities any other town would while preserving a real "Island way of life". While on the island you will be able to shop at the General Store or Boathouse Variety for food and sundries, visit the local library for wireless internet or check out a book, take the kids to the schoolyard to have fun in the new playground or play a few sets of tennis.
Long Island boasts some of the nicest white sand beaches in all of Casco Bay, one of which is yours at your front door. If you are an angler you will also experience world class fishing. Either from shore or boat there are plenty of Stripers and Mackerel to be had. Long Island is also home to a vibrant fishing community. There are still many Lobstermen that live on the island. Some will sell you Lobster right off their boat for the freshest 'Catch of the day'. The views and water access on Long Island are among the best of any of the islands in the Bay.
This 3 bedroom 2 bath house accommodates 6 comfortably. The finished basement is perfect for some additional rec or movie time. The kitchen is loaded with all the amenities, including a dishwasher, microwave, all cooking utensils and cookware and a coffee maker. There is also a gas grill for use as well. Our home has a washer and dryer for your convenience. You will also have use of our vehicle during your stay on the island. If you are an off-season visitor this house is fully insulated and heated for year round use.
Add amazing views, the sweet smell of the ocean and the sound of the waves from the house and this is truly your dream Down East vacation!
**Long Island is located just a short Ferry ride from Portland. Ferries run almost every hour in the summer from 5am - 9:30pm. The Ferry terminal is located in Portland's Colorful Old Port which is loaded with activities for all ages. Enjoy Fine Dining, Live Music, Pubs, Museums, Antiquing, Shopping, etc.. all walking distance from the Ferry. There is also Water Taxi service to Long Island that operates 24/7.

for the rental which will be returned after your stay.
