Casa Margarita is in a new gated condominium complex close to the beaches and the central shopping & nightlife areas. Located in the Playa Madera district between the famous La Ropa beach & El Centro. Trip Advisor top-rated restaurants #2,#3,#5 and #9 are just around the corner on Calle Adelita - dubbed “gourmet alley” by the locals. Playa Madera is a short two minute walk away, La Ropa beach is an 8-10 minutes walk. The town center, a short 8-10 minute stroll away, has a bustling, vibrant central food, farmers & artisans market with many local restaurants. The town beach has a fishermens' market and is fringed with even more restaurants. There is a central square or"zocalo" which hosts many local activities.
The complex has a unique look with modern Mexican architectural influences utilizing tropical hardwoods, river stone accents and polished concrete. The apartment comprises bedroom with en-suite bath, living room and kitchen plus a large private patio - your outdoor living space for al fresco dining , napping on the sofa or relaxing in the king size hammock- perfect for lovers. The owners live in Zihuatanejo for most of the year & can respond quickly to their guests.
Zihuatanejo enjoys a warm, sunny climate year round with a short rainy season between July & October. Although most visitors come between mid-November & April, the low season offers wonderful opportunities for a relaxed vacation at a discounted price. The seasonal rain usually falls in the early evening with sunny days. The vegetation is lush & tropical with an abundance of flowers. It's our favorite time of year.
Zihuatanejo has a very Mexican feel. No high rise buildings or hotel chains: no fast food chains. Great night life scene with live, mellow music. Marina has an array of sports-fishing opportunities. Snorkeling/diving outfitters & trips to local beaches & beauty spots available. Zihuatanejo has direct links with major US cities. The airport is ten minutes by car from the city, taxis are cheap and plentiful so you can forget about the rental car -just come and relax.

This beautiful little condo is exactly as pictured and described, lovely, what more can we say... We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week Christmas/ New Year's vacation in Zihuatenejo/ Casa Margarita - our hosts Peter and Carol met us at the airport and made sure we settled in comfortably. The neighbors are great and the neighborhood ideally situated - we could walk virtually everywhere we wanted to go - many charming restaurants around the corner on Gourmet Alley, a block from the beach and a short, pleasant walk into the Centro. We will absolutely visit again, and again.....

Our best vacation in a long time!! This was the first time using VRBO and it did not disappoint. Peter met us at the airport, and the condo was lovely. It was everything that they represented, and everything you could have wanted for accomodation, as well as being extremely well stocked with itensils, bedding, towels,etc, and a helpful booklet to get you orientated on Zihuatanejo. We felt very safe at the condo, as well as in Zihuatanejo in general. The staff and other residents at the condo are extremely helpful and friendly, and more than willing to accomodate. The location is great as well, a 2 minute walk to Playa Madera, a 15 minute walk to Playa Ropa, a 10 minute walk downtown, and maybe a 10-15 minute walk to the Commercial Supermarket. Taxis are cheap if you don't feel like walking. We can hardly wait to come back, as we love the condo as well as the extremely friendly people and city of Zihuatanejo. P.S. the food at the restaurant across the street 'La Casa Vieja" is excellent!! Thanks Peter and Carol for being lovely hosts, for a vacation we will treasure, and see you soon!!............................in fact enjoyed so much we are coming back in 2011

From the moment Peter and Carol met us at the airport through our entire stay, Peter and Carol were the finest of hosts and the facilities excellent and clean. Everything one could need was there for our use and even shopping for food was enjoyable. Peter had left s some beer and a nice Chilean wine. Just a sample of their pleasant attitude. One could not ask for more genial neighbors, a more more pleasant manager (owner of the complex, builder) or a more safe environment. By the way, all of your future guests should be aware that the people of Zihuatanejo are friendly, helpful and genuinely nice. We can't wait to go back and we will certainly stay there again. We stayed at Carol & Peter's condo for two weeks in January. We loved the location and the whole ambience of the unit. The kitchen was very well equipped to do any cooking you wanted to do and the information provided was useful. Everyone in the complex was very friendly. We would definately stay here again.

My friend and I spent two weeks at La Ceiba in November and loved every minute of it. We especially enjoyed the very roomy outdoor patio area and being 'poolside'. The location in Zihua is perfect - easy walking distance to beaches and to 'el Centro'. Hosts, Peter and Carol were most congenial and helpful. Lots of info about Zihua was available with the organized binder they had put together being most helpful. On a return trip to Zihua, we would definitely hope to stay at this lovely spot again!

My wife and I stayed at Peter's condo for 7 days in October. The condo is in a great location, walking distance to everything. It is very spacious and well stocked. There is a binder with lots of info and maps to help you out. We loved our trip and our stay, we plan to return to Zihua and plan to stay in this condo again. We just came back from a 2 week vacation in Zihuatanejo. We stayed at Peter and Carol's condo and we really enjoyed it. The condo is decorated with taste and you can find everything you desire in the kitchen. Everything we needed was there to make our vacation enjoyable. The location is perfect, closed to the beach and "el centro". All the info left for us in a well organized scrapbook was really useful. It's a great place!

Peter and Carol were amazing hosts and incredibly helpful! We spent 4 nights at this beautiful condo at the beginning of our trip and we could not have asked for anything more. It was absolutely perfect. So perfect we had to return for a few more nights at the end of our trip and we had a hard time leaving. Place is quiet, comfortable and very clean. We had the pool to ourselves the entire time. Location of this place is perfect, minutes from the beach and downtown, and situated in the most quaint little neighborhood in Zihua! We will be back! This is a place for color, comfort & kind hosts. The condo is beautifully decorated, open & airy. Just a skip away is the clean, crisp pool. Siesta offers lots of choices - the hammock on the patio - the comfy banquettes or a shaded lounge chair poolside. This is the part of Zihua I prefer - a mix of locals & foreigners - quiet because it isn't on the tourist route - shaded by old trees - & just 5 minutes from the beach. No question about returning & that comes from a traveller who has spent much time here & there. A treasure!

We were met at the airport by our welcoming hosts and taken straight to this wonderful condo. It is right by the pool. The interior is tastefully decorated.The kitchen is well equipped.We felt all our stress slip away as we relaxed in this delightful spot.
