  Our six week stay at this property exceeded all expectations. The condo, grounds, and facilities are first rate and the owner and staff at Portofino were exceptionally kind and helpful.

  We recently stayed at this property for our family vacation. We had never been to this property or to Pensacola Beach. We were totally impressed!!! I can not say enough about how nice this property was! We use vrbo frequently to book condos and this was by far one of the nicest! The condo is really spacious. We had 4 adults and 2 kids and we didn't feel cramped in the condo at all. The beds were really comfortable and all of the amenitities in the condo were just what we needed. The condo is kept up really well. Sitting on the balcony was one of my favorite things to do. From the balcony, you could watch the dolphins swimming in the gulf in the morning and just watch the water all day. It was a gorgeous view and so relaxing! The beach is just a short walk across the street. And when I say short walk, I mean short. I was hesitant when I booked that the beach wasn't just out the door of the property, but the walk wasn't bad at all, even with 2 toddlers it still wasn't bad. And the beach by the condo is very secluded. I loved the privacy we had while at the beach. The resort also has amazing pools. We spent every morning down at the beach and then spent every afternoon at the pool. The main pools at the Lifestyle Center were gorgeous. It was nice being able to sit by the pool, watch the kids and enjoy a cocktail. The pool and hot tub at Tower 1 was really nice too and very private. We were the only ones at the pool most of the time. I honestly can not say enough about this condo and the property in general. We literally felt like we were on a luxury vacation. We didn't know the resort would be so nice when we booked this condo. We talked to many people on the beach who said they have stayed all up and down the panhandle, but thought Portofino was by far the best. And I believe them! And I think Tower 1 is probably the best tower in the complex in terms of location to the beach and pool. And the views from this condo were awesome! We will defintiely be back. We really enjoyed our stay at Portofino!!!

  We were taking a student to Pensecola Christian College and wanted to combine it with a vacation at the beach. We could not have had any better spot to relax and enjoy. Even the huricane/tropical storm could not put a damper on our enjoying this beautiful resort. The condo has such a beautiful veiw from the living area and both bedrooms!!! When i woke up anytime in the night and first thing and last thing of the day........a beautufull veiw of the ocean. The bay on one side and the gulf in front..........the dolphins played 2 days in front of our condo. The excersise room was such a blessing to enjoy. To look out over the pool and the bay made it seem like a treat. The equipment was top notch. The outdoor pools and and indoor pools were wonderful. We enjoyed the one by the condo even late at night because it was so warm. I would love to bring my grandchildren back to this resort. They have blow up slides and trapolines for them to play on on the bay. We didnt get to enjoy nearly as much of the things available to us as we would have liked because of the weather but i absolutly would love to go back and stay here again. Thank you for sharing with us this beautifull condo.

  The hurricane did not stop us from enjoying our trip to Pensecola Beach. We enjoyed our stay at your condo SO much. The pools were wonderfull. The exersise room was so enjoyable with the veiw of the pool and bay. The dolpins playing was such a treat from our balcony. The condo itself was very clean and comfortable. The veiw from each bedroom and from the living area was such a blessing especally when the storms were in our area. The first day the water was SO clear and the most beautifull greanish blue. The waves were amazing as the storm passed through. We also saw the beautiful calm golf as well. I would defininatley love to return to this condo and this resort.I would love to take my grandchildren with me another time.

  This is a fabulous community to vacation in. We stayed in tower 3 during Christmas in 2010 & fell in love with Portofino. The amenities are abundant and the staff is extremely courteous & helpful. The photos accurately reflect the appearance of this unit, however it is not as well maintained as the last unit we stayed in. We assumed that all units had a grill on the balcony because the last one we stayed in did - this one does not. The tile floor was so dirty that it turned our socks almost black. There was a broom & dirty sponge mop in the laundry closet but no bucket or any kind of cleaner. We mopped with water but it didn't help much. There are multiple stains on the carpet in the master bedroom. The 2nd bedroom had to have the sheets washed because there was sand in the bed. The glass balcony doors had smudges & handprints all over. The laundry closet had inches of dryer lint between the appliances & the wall - had not been cleaned in ages. The icemaker kept quitting on us. The A/C had no filter and the ceiling vents were dust covered. The doors on the fridge don't shut very good so there is a sign that reminds you to make sure the doors shut. The patio furniture on the balcony was old & dirty. Balcony glass looked like it had not been cleaned in years. My two teenages complained that the sleep sofa was not comfortable to sleep on. They preferred the airbed that we brought with us just in case. We didn't find one switched outlet that worked. One outlet behind the couch was missing the plate entirely. We called the management company and they said they would send a cleaning crew out the next morning to clean the windows & mop floor. We left the next morning so we wouldn't be underfoot when the cleaning crew showed up but when we got back, it was obvious that nobody ever came. We called the management company again and they sent somebody right out. If you want to clean up after meals and water & dish soap won't quite work, bring some cleaner with you. Trash bags, a couple rolls of toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towels, a few dishwasher tablets, a tiny bottle of dish soap, hotel sized soaps, shampoo and vending machine size laundry products provided. We brought our own dishwasher tabs, trash bags, paper towels, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, bath soap and shampoo. There are 2 beach chairs in the closet along with some sand toys for kids. There is wireless internet, an iPod dock & a blender.

  Owner response: The cleaning company has been notified of the discrepancies and follow up cleanings have been satisfactory to guests. June, July and August are typically booked solid and often there are only four hours between back-to-back weekly guests. A deep clean of the condo will occur in mid August. The a/c filter and other minor maintenance items have been repaired. The light switches in the bedrooms and living room are wired for a fan/light combo. All rooms have high end ceiling fans but we decided against a harsh overhead light and to provide alternate task lighting with table lamps and bedside lamps, which are easily turned on by hand. All other rooms have plenty of ambient lighting that works with light switches. Shampoos, soaps, paper towels, dishwasher tablets, garbage bags and toilet paper are provided to begin your stay, guests are kindly asked to provide any additional supplies as needed for longer stays.

  We (my wife and I and our five year old son and nine year old daughter) just spent thanksgiving week at this unit in Portofino. It was fabulous! The unit has a great view of the Gulf looking out to the front and right from the balcony, but alos a view of the sound side looking to the left of the balcony. The restaurant, spa, and pools on site were great, and the soft white sand beaches are amazing. the unit is spacious, clean and well furnished. We are already discussing when we can return!!!

  We refer to this unit as "Seventh Heaven". You are staying on the 7th floor... with "floor to ceiling" views from every room, of the Gulf of Mexico, in all of its glory! The pictures speak for themselves...THE UNIT IS FABULOUS! We can't wait to return!

  My family has vacationed at Portofino in this condo for the past 2 years (most recently February 2009) and can't say nicer things about it. The rooms are beautiful, the view is gorgeous and it is kept in immaculate condition. The most trouble we have during our vacations is deciding between the pool, the ocean or relaxing on the balcony with some snacks and wine. We plan on a repeat stay next year and would be very disappointed if this particular unit wasn't available.
