We enjoyed our stay at this place! The owner was very accommodating and the place had everything you could ask for. Plenty of accessories were available like coolers, towels for the beach, wine opener, beach chairs etc. Next time I would pack a lot less knowing all the things that were provided. We did have people above us and at times could hear everything going on but I think they were just loud people forgetting they were sharing a space. We felt very secure and always went across to the Rio Mar Resort and went to the beach there which was convenient. The owner provided places to go for groceries and to eat which was helpful. This place was a great price for all the amenities provided. I would definitely rent again if I decided to go back to PR. Thanks for everything and for those looking don't pass this up!

My family stayed at this apartment for a week - 2 adults and 2 kids. The apartment is larger than it appears in the pictures so we had plenty of room. Its really well located for many area attractions - rain forest, public beach, etc. but you need to have a car to get around. The house is well stocked with amenities - my kids were thrilled to find the stash of toys including some beach toys, extra sheets, blankets, towels. Alvy was great to work with and very helpful in suggesting places to go and I was fortunate enough to meet her when we arrived. I really enjoyed PR and I am planning to return. Hopefully this apartment will be available when I return!

We rented this apt. for our 12th anniversary. We had a great time, it was just what we needed for a relaxing stay after long days of beach, sun and entertainment. The apt. has an awesome view, which we enjoy a lot at the balcony, having a glass of wine and enjoying the breeze. It is very secure and it is gate to gate with the Whyndham hotel/ Rio Mar Community. The Apt. is very close to Luquillo Beach (7 minutes) and the "Kioskos" (Food Places), Rainforest El Yunque (10-15minutes), El Conquistador Hotel (20 minutes). The owner, Mrs. Alvy is very nice, available 24hrs for any questions, recommendations for food places or entertainment etc. The apt. has everything you need at a place like home out of home, it has games, dominoes table, tv, radio, dinning room set, living room, kitchen is fully equiped with everything needed to cook. Thanks Alvy....We did a great choice. Looking foward to repeat the weekend with our twin daughters...:)

We had a great time in Puerto Rico! We rented the bottom unit. The location was great, just a few minutes from the rainforest!! The apartment had everything we needed for a family of five. The only recommendation is that the sofa should be replaced. The white sofa has discolored over the years and the cushions are sagging. Alvy, thanks for being do responsive!! We hope to visit PR very soon again!!

I had no idea how wonderful this place was 'till I got there. This house is absolutely perrrrfect!! Neat, nice, clean, comfy, beautiful, just the perfect "home-away-from-home" vacation place. The view is spectacular, the rooms are extremely comfortable, flat screen tv's, nice AC units, roomy kitchen, washer, dryer, nice clean towels, bed sheets, what else can you ask for? Just bring your groceries and you are all set!! Alvy (the owner) is super dooper friendly and always available 24/7, which makes your stay even more awesome!! I definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone who trully wants to enjoy their much needed vacation without worries of any kind. Call Alvy you will not regret it!!! The house is fantastic but what it makes the experience just perfect is her owner. She is friendly and always there to answer any questions. I reccommend this property, away from the metro area and 5 minutes away from the beach.

From the moment we drove up to the house, we were in awe! The view was so beautiful and the fresh breeze was a huge welcome from our 42 degree weather we had in New Jersey! The house had everything we needed. When I say everything, I mean everything! From toys for my little one to a Foreman Grill!! The AC was a plus for those extra hot days but I felt right at home. You will need to have a fresh stock of groceries, but there is a supermarket right down the street. Alvy was a true joy to work with. She was very detail oriented and ensured you were taken care of. If you needed anything, all we had to do was ask. Thank you very much for sharing your home and for allowing my little two year old to have a beautiful time on "la isla del encanto". Many blessings to you and your family~

Return Visit -- Love the Location

We stayed in the bottom apartment of Alvy's house for 10 days the beginning of March, staying in the upper unit the previous year. You cannot beat the location of this house. Highway 3, which is the main thoroughfare East and West is just minutes away. Luquillo Beach and the kiosks are 5 minutes away and La Pared Beach just a few more minutes further down the road. The outlet mall (which is a nice mall) is not far away if you end up with a rainy day and there are grocery stores and several restaurants nearby. The apartment is as pictured and the addition of the flat screen TVs in the livingroom and bedroom are a nice addition while you relax in the evening with the windows and doors open, after spending the day at the beach :) Alvy is absolutely wonderful to work with and as other guests have noted, she is very accessible and never makes you feel like you are inconveniencing her. Thanks again for another wonderful visit Alvy!

Great place for my family

I just came back from PR and stayed in this apartment. The apartment is great, clean and a great place to stay. We felt very safe in the area and it was convenient to everything. We have two children (a 6 months and a 20 months old) and this was the perfect place for us. It was very safe for them. Alvy is a great person and she goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome. Thank you, Alvy. My family leaves 10-15 minutes from there and they love the place too that will stay there for a "get away". We will definitively stay here again or in Luquillo where Alvy has another aprtament in Playa Azul.

This was my first time renting a vacation home and i must say that i felt like a king of a hill top castle. Alvy supplied everything a house would need to function, dishes, laundry detergent and even tour brochures. the location was grand as well as the view of the ocean. me and my fiance went to the casino right across the street and had a great time. i would recommend this property to everyone. i could go on forever about the air conditioning vents in all the rooms , it was great and a beutiful way to spend your time in p.r.

This place is excellent, clean,quiet and spacious. I felt right at home and the owner is sooo hospitable, it made our mother's day week (mom's, tia E, my sister's and my) in PR a great one!!!! Thank you Alvy for accommodating us for a longer stay. Your maintenace staff Willie was very kind. I'll be reserving my next stay soon. I recommend this place to anyone vacationing, having fun and looking for a great place to unwind. P.S. The places to dine were great, thank you! Antojitos was my favorite for breakfast.

Great place to stay in Puerto Rico

We had a great experience staying on this property, and spectacular view from everywhere in the property. I was cooking breakfast for the family in the morning and you can see from the kitchen down hill and at the end the beach. It was five minutes from the tropical rain-fores El Yunke and 35 minutes from San Juan. Everything was spotless in the property, everything work and modern. And for the price you can beat it! I really recommend it.

I am completely satisfied with the apartment. Has excellent entertainment facilities nearby. The property is clean, well maintained. You can find everything you need in or out of the apartment. The service provided by the owner is excellent, good treatment, respect, and clear instructions. It has excellent location and panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean. You can visit differents places, restaurants, attractions, casinos, night clubs,beaches and pools. I recommend this villa to anyone who would like to have some unforgettable vacation. I made my reservation for my next vacation. My stay at this villa was a good experience for a great price.

Luquillo Condo Review

This review is for the Luquillo Beachfront Condo, stayed at this property five nites while on business trip and vacation March 2010. Had 2 days of meetings at the Rio Mar and while I would have preferred to stay there the Rio property was quite pricey. This one bedroom high-rise 17th Floor condo was an excellent choice, very secure and clean with spectacular ocean-front views. Unit has recently been remodeled with new living room furnishings, flooring and a new Air Conditioning unit. Condo is fully equipped and will comfortably sleep two, if needed there also is a sleeper-sofa in living room. My visit was during Spring Break and while I expected noise, overall it was very quiet. Building and Parking lot both have 24 hour security. You must have a car...while San Juan is only 25 miles away the commute [depending on traffic] can run 40~60 minutes. The Rainforest, Farajado and Rio Mar all are a short drive [15 minutes or less] via car, the Bank, Supermarket, Pharmacy all are closeby. Luquillo beach is right in front of condo. Alvy is a wonderful host, with excellent communication via phone or email. Will definitely call her again if I return in the future.

We stayed in Alvy's upper unit above the unit noted here (which looked very nice as well). Our first reaction when we saw the views.... WOW, this is STUNNING... ocean everywhere you looked. This is a beautiful, modern home and we really enjoyed it. As mentioned, this unit has everything you could possibly need and having a washer/dryer in the unit is a wonderful convenience. Our previous stays have been in the rainforest with about a 25 minute drive down the mountain, so we found this location great with only an 8 minute drive to Luquillo beach and close to everything else we enjoy doing in the area. Alvy was wonderful to work with, very patient with all of my questions, and prompty answering emails or calling. My only hesitation in writing this review -- letting everyone know what a fabulous rental it is and having it fill up quickly (that's good for Alvy though). On the upside, Alvy has a few properties in this area, so if one if full, there may be others still available."

superb views of the ocean

PROPERTY # 307522 – Rio Mar, Puerto Rico The Loma del Mar property is directly in front of the Wyndham Rio Mar and Golf Course in Rio Grande. The property has superb views of the ocean, resort and golf course. The EL Yunque Rain Forest is very close and a great day trip. Major highways, great shopping centers and excellent restaurants are all nearby. The property is well furnished with modern day conveniences and than some. Airy, bright and spacious are the first words that come to mind. The front veranda was a favorite spot for me to view the swaying palm tress along the beach to star gazing in the evening. Fajardo is a fifteen minute drive, where once can take a cheap ferry ride to the Spanish Virgin Islands of Vieques or Culebra for less than five dollars a person round trip! The famous Luquillo Beach is the next beach over and one can try favorite local foods along the many beach hut restaurants. In the evening, one can try their luck across the street at the Casino, dance or dine in one the five star restaurants. The weather in Puerto Rico is excellent! Weather and water temperatures are usually in the 80’s year-round. Puerto Rico is part of the United states, so no special documents are required. I have visited Puerto Rico several time throughout my life. I will continue to return and use Property #307522 for many years to come.

Perfect Puerto Rico Secret

My husband and I spent a week in this property and we loved it. The owner was always available for any questions about anything and everything from best places to eat as well as sight seeing areas. The unit was extremely clean and comfortable and safe. We are already planning to return stay again. We have already recommended this rental to family and friends. The convenience of having Rio Mar Westin Hotel casino and beach literally across the street is priceless.

I am a single mother who stayed in the bottom unit with my 7 year old daughter at the end of October. We had a wonderful time. The apartment is easy to find (although it did help that we've been to Puerto Rico a few times). I felt safe and comfortable during our stay. And although we had a few inconveniences (none were the direct fault of the owner), she quickly rectified the situation. The owner was easy to reach and provided a lot of additional information on the area. Her mother was great as well as the caretaker who was also very nice and helpful. The apartment was clean and had just about everything you need. The view and ocean breeze was spectacular. We only stayed for 3 nights since the property was already rented for the remainder of our stay, and my daughter was asking to go back after checking into a resort in Dorado! She absolutely loved it. It is close to many area attractions, great spots to eat, and wonderful beaches. We will be back and have recommended the place to several friends already!

I stayed here 8/21 - 9/3/08...summer's peak and the apt was comfortable and NOT HOT at all,. I absolutely loved the apt, the description was right on point! The rooms were clean,comfortable and had AC, which is a plus, there were fans as well. We kept the porch door open which gave us the best breeze ever. It's private, beautiful, very safe and tranquil. The landscape is gorgeous with all the beautiful flowers and different fruit trees. The apt is well equipt/at your finger tips with everything you may need. It has the most spectacular view of Luquillo beach and it's only 5 mins away. Down the road you can visit El Yunque National Rainforest. I felt very much at home and WILL go back very soon. The owner is a very pleasant woman and is always aiming to please-

HOT Oceanview apartment

This place is not good in the summer. It advertise air-conditioning but it only have it in the bedroom. The living room and kitchen was hot even at night with 2 fans. Air-conditioning in the master bedroom took 2 hrs to cool off the room.

Owner response:We strive to please our guests and keep them satisfied so they will return and recommend our rentals to their friends and family. Normally, air conditioning is not needed, as this unit is on a hilltop and the ocean breezes keep the place cool and comfortable, even in the summer. The air conditioning units in the bedrooms are practically new and, when used properly, will cool the rooms with no issues. Unfortunately, this was an exceptionally hot summer and the existing bedroom AC units and fans apparently were not sufficient. We are currently installing an additional AC unit.

Our family truly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful and modern appartment. We felt very secure and had everything we needed at our finger tips. The description we received was right on. The appt was clean and very well maintained. The area was very convienient for tourists, close to the beach and accross the street from a resort and beach access as well as a casino. The owner was available to answer all of my questions and gave us great ideas for spots to visit. I would definately recommend this property to other families, I would also stay there again. We enjoyed our visit to El Yunque which was very close to the property.

Optimal location for Beach and El Yunque

My stay was phenomenal. Waking up and see the ocean while drinking coffee is a sight to see.... At night you can even see the cruise ships. Ideal place..not too far or too close from metro area but it has everything that the metro area offers. Luquillo beach ans El Yunque are a stone throw away! Been there twice! Highly Recomended!

Perfect Puerto Rico Vacation

My mom and I stayed in this villa in December 2007. It was absolutely wonderful. Every amenity we could think of was there for our use. The owners were wonderful as well. We had a tough time trying to find it, as we were not familiar with the area, however we called the owners and they directed us to the exact location without a problem. The view from the balcony is absolutely spectacular, the tropical trees and plants, the resort on the hill below, and the crystal blue ocean were just a few sights we saw from the tranquil balcony. A mile or two from El Yunque rainforest, this place is ideal location. All in all, we loved every minute of our stay.Absolutely wonderful, we definitely plan on coming back :0)
