If you like snow, cold, busy life, and the hum of traffic, this is not the place for you. What you will see are wonderful sunrises and sunsets, the sound of waves from a long beach, birdwatching, shelling, great restaurants, and a friendly, easy care environment. The owners of this condo have thought of everything to make your stay an unforgetable memory--beach chairs, coolers, towels, Florida-like comforts. The view is spectacular from this unit as you can see the gulf and the bay.

Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I just returned after spending 10 days in this beautiful condo over looking Fort Myer's beach! We had never stayed on the island before, so we were not familiar with all the nuances of the different locations and where the best place for us would be. I must say that we hit the bulls eye blind folded. The condo was very personally appointed with beach decor and everything we needed to feel at home was there. The south end of the island is much more relaxed and the private beach was much nicer than the mega resorts down by the village square. We did walk the whole length of beach and back (by accident the trolley didnt run on X Mas Day) and liked our location the best. There is a very convenient strip mall across the street with 5 or 6 bars and restaurants that we enjoyed. The Sand Bar is a pretty cool sports type bar with decent food and Castaways features live music several nights a week. The one band I did hear there was really good!! This area is really convenient for exiting to the south and going to Bonita Springs area which we personally liked opposed to the really busy N side of the island.......Traffic can be tough going that way certain times of the day. Karen was awesome to work with and very informative of local tips......(rum chata) All in all if you want to kick back and relax, enjoy all the amenities of home, and have one of the best views of the island......you will not be disappointed!!! Fabulous Gulf Retreat!!

We've been staying at this lovely getaway for the past six years and love everything about it. It has the most fabulous view of the Gulf, and is very clean, very spacious for a studio. The kitchen and bathroom has been updated beautifully. It's walking distance from a great tiki bar with live entertainment on the weekends. The pool is heated and just fabulous to hang out by. Also, being able to see dolphins while you're enjoying a snack or a meal on the balcony that overlooks the Gulf can't be beat!

A truly enjoyable condo that has everything you need on site or nearby. The view from the balcony is incredible and both the pool and the beach will beckon you.

Karen and Don have a wonderful place that makes you feel as though you're home. Everything you need down to the towels are provided for you so all you need is your swim suit and your toothbrush. The views are amazing and you get the back bay view and the Gulf view. We loved having coffee on the lanai and watching for dolphins. Again you have exceeded our expectations. We will be back in May. We really recommend going down to Lovers Key and spending the day at their beach also.Thanks for the wonderful memories..

Better than advertised! what a beatiful and romantic view, the sunsets were awesome!!! The shellin was great had several 1st on shell finds! The fishin was great,and I actually was feeding a dolphin fish that i was catching in the surf it was unreal.The property was managed very professionally and more than willing to help.won't ever overpay to stay on sanibel again! The owners were very helpful! and the fish house resturant across the street was great!!! Will be back!

When you first walk through the door you are greeted by the mile(s) long view of Ft Myers beach and the wonderful, glistening Gulf of Mexico. You are drawn to the balcony, where you stand and take in all the view from this wonderful 12th floor unit. Then you pinch yourself, and it hurts! So it really is true! You have a great gulfront condo all to yourself and there is nothing but miles and miles of beach and ocean views and that wonderful gulf breeze welcoming you home. That was how I felt everytime I walked through the door of this unit. The pictures don't do justice to being there firsthand! This unit has everything we needed for our weeklong + stay. The new kitchen was well appointed and had the right amount of cooking and work space. Shopping, restaurants and recreation were all just steps away no matter what you felt like doing, if anything at all. This is the place to do it from. I really like the keyless entry so when you go for those sunset and shelling strolls along the beach there were no keys to worry about keeping up with. My wife and granddaughter liked the pool, I loved being able to look over the balcony and literally watch the sun rise from the horizon beyond, then sit back and watch it disappear into the ocean in the evening. Karen was great to work with and I am sure would have responded promptly to any problems if we had any, but our stay was great with no problems or complaints whatsoever and I will only contact Karen and Don for our next trip to FMB which I am already looking forward to :). Thanks for the use of your condo it was a wondereful home away from home. Don't forget to use the trolley for most if not all of your transportation needs.

The view from this condo was absolutely breathtaking! The condo itself was also great. There was complete privacy on this 12th floor ocean front condo. The local area is very convenient too. There is a trolly that runs back and forth on the island every 20-30 minutes in both directions. You can actually stay here if you do not have a car. The trolly also goes a ways off the beach where you could get a local bus to go further distance. If you really want to sight see off the island you will need a rental car, but if you are just looking for a quiet and beautiful get away then no car is necessary. The trolly takes you to the grocery store, and the CVS pharmacy and many shops and restaurants are across the street. The pool is wonderful and it is heated. If you prefer the beach then just a quick walk and you are there. There you can find jet skis and parasailing available. Whatever you want - it is nearby.I highly recommend this condo!!

This is an ocean front facility and this condo is on the ocean side corner with unobstucted views of seven miles of beach, manacured lawns and wildlife area. Full sunsets right in front of you and if you look around the corner of your balcony you see the sun rise and great view of nice marina with beach shops and really good resturants just a few minutes walk from the condo. Everything you need is supplied. The king bed is really comfortable and the unit is clean and quiet. The pool area is very well maintained and everybody we met were friendly and helpful. We loved all our walks on the beach and felt the whole area was completely safe. I recommend this condo to anyone in need of a one bed place. Karen was most helpful and were so thankful we were able to stay here. We had an awsome time and would love to come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Don and Karen's Condo. It was conveniently located to shopping and restaurants and of course the beach. The weather was gorgeous and we understand that it was exceptionally warm for January.....and watching the sunsets every evening from the balcony was great. Our stay in January 2012 was okay, but have stayed in better places in Ft Myers, FL

The view was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable.Upon our arrival we found that the comforter looked old and very used, it was not the same one in the pictures posted. All but 1 towel was still wet, old and really stained. They should of been thrown out or used for rags. We had to wash and dry all the towels. I was grossed out by the shower curtain because it was orange on the inside from not being cleaned, or replaced. Both spare blankets in the closet were full of sand, we found out after we went to use them the first night after the sand ended all over the bed and on the floor. Vent in bathroom was filthy and black stuff was coming out of the air conditioner. I e-mailed the owners with these problems and they offered to come over the next day to address the issues. Don showed up the next day and cleaned the b/r vent and air conditioner, brought another comforter, the one in the picture in their post. They told me where to find a new shower curtain which we changed. Don told us that they don't check the blackets or extra sheets in the closet when they clean. As for the towels we washed them and used only a couple of the towels that were okay. I feel that they need to take more time cleaning the unit, check blankets and sheets in closet, replace old and stained towel for they do get wore out, plus who wants to use a stained towel, not me. Don was very nice and very apolgetic. I will never stay there again, because of the way we found the unit when we first arrived.

My brother and I have have been staying here for a few years now in a row. Love it, close to much. We don't touch the car much once we've arrived. You can walk to great restaurants (some on the beach, even), and stores, and even the marina across the street for leisurely boat rides or fishing charters. The unit itself is very clean, awesome view of the gulf, beach, and dolphins from the balcony! Perfect place for the beautiful Florida weather.

Beautiful Condo and location Kenneth Jang Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada Review Submitted October 2, 2011 Date of Stay September 24, 2011 We stayed for 1 week September 24-October 1, 2011 and had one of the best vacations. The condo is exactly as it was described, clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and has everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The ocean view from the balcony was fantastic: miles of beach and the lagoon . There were all kinds of shore birds in the lagoon, Ibis, Herons, Spoonbills, and an osprey stayed on the balcony railing for quite some time! Dolphins often swam along the ocean which we can see from the balcony. Sunset watching was fantastic from the balcony as well. Wifi was available downstairs and made it all the more convenient. The FMB area afforded many things to see and do; and the condo location is close to everything. Thanks to Karen and Don for the opportunity to stay at this wonderful place; we'll certainly be back. Loved the views! Both sunrise and sunset. Appriciated the fact that things like some seasonings, paper towels, beach toys... were there for our convience. Much, much nicer than a moter and much much cheaper. Cant wait to go back again!

We are avid beach walkers and enjoyed morning and evening walks along the sandy beaches north and south of EBT, where we found lots of shells, sand dollars, and our first ever starfish ! We saw dolphins, stingrays, lots of birds and fish, especially enjoyed watching the birds catching the fish. Spectacular sunsets, from the beach or the 12th floor balcony. We really appreciated the furnished beach chairs and towels, but needed the umbrella, which we donated for the next visitors. We can't say much about the tennis courts, swimming pools, shopping centers, nightlife, or entertainment, because we don't know, what we do know is this place is truly a Beachcombers Delight !

We had a wonderful time at EBT; your place is very comfy and of course, the great view! ...12th floor balcony view of beautiful beach with lots of shells and Sanibel on the horizon; an estuary with roseate spoonbill, ibis, reddish egret, wood stork, blue and tri-color heron, great and snowy egret, pelican, cormorant sightings; dolphins cruising in the Gulf at dawn and dusk; great sunsets; nicely groomed tennis courts out the back door; variety of restaurants and fresh fruit stand in the little mall across the street… pretty wonderful! The management staff and all the maintenance guys are really great and very responsive whenever there’s a problem.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

This property delivers everything that it promises. A beautiful 12th floor waterfront view, easy access to beach walks where you can be accompanied by dolphins or can enjoy a convenient jaunt to restaurants and shops. The locals are extremely welcoming and we highly recommend the Thursday night Trivia game at the Holiday Inn. You won't want to miss the opportunity to bicycle from one end of the island to the other. Or, for those who are less motivated to exercise...opt to take the trolley for a quarter:)

Hello Karen, We had a glorious time in Ft Myers and enjoyed your lovely accommodations! Please tell Don we located the bicycles and pedaled the distance to the north bridge each morning thereafter. In all the fun and entertainment my daughter managed to leave her favorite bathing suit top at the condo. We believe it was on the hook on the back of the bathroom door. Did it turn up between guest reservations? If so, I would be happy to send the money to mail it to us. Please let me know if it has been located. Again, thank you for your generosity and hospitality. Everything was as you said it would be and the locals were all very friendly. We enjoyed the trivia game on Thursday evening at the Holiday Inn. The dolphins joined us on our morning beach walk on one special occassion. Best Regards, Trish
