It has a beautiful deck with a table and six chairs and all the amenities of home, and is only a 5 minute walk from a magnificent private beach on Menemsha Pond. The beach is shallow and perfect for small children. One can swim, kayak, sail, go clamming, or simply relax on the private beach and read a good book! The private clay tennis court is a 2 minute walk from the house.
Lucy Vincent Beach and Squibnocket Beach, the two Chilmark ocean beaches on the south side of the island, are a short car ride away. Enjoy the tranquility of up-island living at its best!

  • This cottage is perfect. It's comfortable, clean, and well equipped. It's exactly the way Alex and Lynda describe it in their listing. We have never had such a relaxing vacation. Chilmark is just so peaceful. Alex and Lynda were very helpful, answering all our questions and offering helpful advice. We just loved it and would definitely rent it again. Thanks! Jean and Mike

  • We enjoyed dining on the back deck overlooking Menemsha Pond and beyond (spectacular view from all rooms), the short walk to the beach at the pond, the tennis court, and the glass faced wood stove. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and utensils for any type cooking or grilling.
