Location: Sullivan's Island, Charleston Area, South Carolina, USA (8 Miles from Downtown Charleston, 18 Miles from Airport) View Map
Accommodations: House, 5 Bedrooms + Den, 3.5+ Baths (Sleeps 12)
Our beautiful home at 3204 Marshall Blvd. on Sullivan's Island has unsurpassed views of the Ocean, Inlet and Intracoastal Waterway. This house was built by a premier architect for a former SC Attorney General and was made for entertaining. The easy flow inside and out makes it the perfect venue for an unforgettable family reunion. Every room in the house has a water view.
French doors from the living room, dining room and eat in kitchen open out to the large screened-in, wrap around porch and lower sundeck.
The king master bedroom suite – with dressing room and full bath is downstairs. There are two additional queen masters upstairs with Jack and Jill baths and access to both of the family bedrooms. Both of the family bedrooms sleep two, as does the den/guest room downstairs. Each of the three master bedrooms has its own access to the porch or sundeck, with glorious views of sun and moon rises, as well as porpoises, ospreys and pelicans.
Because this home fronts on the Breach Inlet it is far more private than the homes that front directly on the Atlantic beaches. The semi-private swimming beach is only 100 yards away and the in-ground custom pool is both private and protected.
As we live in this home most of the year, you benefit from a well supplied, lovingly maintained and cared for property. Enjoy!

Why the Owner Chose Sullivan's Island
Harvey & I visited Sullivan's Island (8 miles outside of Charleston) and that was it - home! We live here most of the year and rent it out only during the summer months. We discovered this wonderful place because of a visit to my good friend Sara, who was living in Hendersonville, North Carolina. She had been Travel Editor for Better Homes and Gardens, had a travel column in Mother Earth News, had been a tour guide and written several tour books. It was autumn and I took one look at the foliage, the waterfalls and the views of the Rockies and the Blue Ridge Mountains and I fell in love with the place. Sara wisely suggested I decide if I was a mountain or an ocean person. She chose Hendersonville because it was one of the two most beautiful places in the U.S. (and she has been everywhere), the other amazing place...the barrier islands in the low country of Charleston, South Carolina. She was right!
The Unique Benefits at this House
This is a great house for family reunions. Our sons and their families, come and visit us every Easter/Spring Break, along with my parents. The 6 bedrooms afford us all the privacy and comfort we all need. We watch the dolphins feed in the Inlet and the water traffic pass; the container ships, cruise ships, fishing boats and pleasure crafts. The para sailing and the kite flying are amazing and all this from our windows and porch. When it is misty & rainy and the foghorn starts sounding, it is comforting, mysterious and intimate...it's my favorite.

Harvey & I grew up in New York City, but we have lived in Nashua, New Hampshire, Camden, Maine, Westchester, New York, Singapore, ROS, Chicago, Illinois, DelRay Beach, Florida and Sullivan's Island, South Carolina. As you can see, we love to travel and experience other locales and cultures. Our sons attended and graduated from The Singapore American High School. They have long since graduated from American Universities, married and provided us with four amazing, gorgeous grandchildren.
