Dos Palmas was completed in February of 2009. It was built by renowned architect Carlos Desormaux.
This villa is a luxurious retreat ideal for honeymooners or two couples. Dos Palmas has a gourmet kitchen where you can watch for whales while preparing meals.
From the water mirror with goldfish that greet you to the infinity pool, this home was built with an eye for detail. It is filled with onyx light fixtures, extensive tile work, and ocean views from every room.
You can step directly from the living area into the infinity pool which is surrounded by soft, green grass leading to the beach and warm Pacific Ocean.
Newly finished, Carlos designed and built our added on roof deck. It is an amazing spot for your morning coffee and for evening sunsets. Perfect for whale watching and sunbathing!
This is a private retreat where you will certainly feel safe and at home.

We are a Seattle couple and were both born and raised in the Pacific Northwest.
Why the Owner Chose Troncones
We have always loved the beach, sun, and waves. We have driven the Pacific Coast of Mexico from just south of Mazatlan to Acapulco. Troncones is far and away our favorite spot. The ocean is warm year round and the people are very friendly.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Dos Palmas is a ten minute walk to many restaurants and shops. The house has high end finishes for a luxurious feel and the new roof deck is an amazing addition. There are no rocks on the beach in front of the house so you can easily swim in front (watch for rip tides).

As fellow villa owners, our expectations are high and Dos Palmas did not disappoint us in any way. The villa layout was perfect for just the two of us to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The architectural features of the villa are outstanding. The grounds were immaculate and house was spotless. The close proximity to restaurants was a bonus. Some may consider the infinity pool the signature focal point at this property; however, to us the new rooftop lounge is better. Whether enjoying a morning cup of coffee, whale watching or star gazing, the rooftop lounge is perfect with a continuous breeze from the ocean. If we could give a negative aspect of this villa, we would; however, we cannot and look forward to staying at Dos Palmas again. Tremendous value!

Words cannot accurately describe Dos Palmas, or Troncones. Our week vacation in November, 2010 to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary at Emmet & Kelly's home was the best vacation we have ever had! The home is incredible - the pictures do not do it justice. Everything was exactly as described. Troncones is a wonderful beach town where everyone is friendly - - both the locals and tourists. We took our 3 year old son and he had a great time. He still asks when we can go back to Mexico! He built a new sand castle every day, played in the pool, and ran around the yard. Every evening, we walked a few doors down the beach to release baby sea turtles -- quite the experience! There are a number of restaurants within walking distance and even more just a short drive away. We did not spend much time in Zihua or Ixtapa - - never felt like leaving Troncones! The staff at Dos Palmas, Eva and Roberto, are incredible! Eva can arrange anything you want. If you're lucky, the next door neighbors, Bob and Suzanne will be there during your stay. Again, some of the nicest people we have ever met. Emmet and Kelly are wonderful owners with great communication. Emmet answered all of our questions (and we had a lot) very quickly. He has traveled to many parts of Mexico and was very helpful in describing Troncones. If you are planning on spending a week at Dos Palmas, spend two (one is just not enough!). Rent a car so you can drive around Troncones (it gets pretty dark at night) or go into Zihua or Ixpata. Talk to the locals. Try the local restaurants - - especially those that are on someone's front porch. We cannot wait until we can return to Dos Palmas again. It truly was an experience of a lifetime. Dos Palmas is a beautiful home on a quiet beach but in a very welcoming town. A short walk down the beach to great restaurants and small shops. Very relaxing and comfortable. One of the best vacations we've ever had! We will go back soon!

My only regret about my visit to Dos Palmas is that it wasn't for longer. My girlfriend and I escaped from the frigid NYC winter to the paradise that truly is Dos Palmas. If you're looking for some peace and quiet to unwind, look no farther. Every time a plane passes over our heads, my girlfriend and I look at each other and wish we were heading back. Thanks Emmet and Kelly!

After spending less than 5 minutes at Dos Palmas you realize you never want to leave. It is the perfect escape from reality. A beautiful air conditioned oasis within 100 yards to the ocean. Anyone who gets the opportunity to visit Dos Palmas should take advantage and experience the ultimate vacation for themselves.
