What an amazing backyard!! We spent the entire time in the back yard drinking wine, enjoying the fire and eating! We had some trouble finding the house and fortunately the owners answered the call at 9:30pm to give us directions (it was late, we couldn't see and didn't want to risk walking into the wrong house). It was quiet, peaceful and everything we were looking for. Very close to downtown Saugatuck. Just a lovely home. With perfect weather (like we had) you wouldn't want to be anywhere else. ONLY thing is I wish it had a hot tub - especially with that yard!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children.

Morning coffee on the porch, naps on the hammock, family movie nights, comfy beds for all five of us, and a five-minute drive to the beach and shopping in Douglas and Saugatuck. Everything was updated and clean, and the gardens were beautiful with lots of places to sit and enjoy the hummingbirds. The owners were very pleasant and clearly love this home!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children.

We found this home to be clean, kitchen very well-equipped, and the back yard was a relaxing haven. Only minutes to Douglas and Saugatuck, or other areas to explore nearby, such as the beaches. Very quiet, and nice decorating touches. A/C is not central, so 2 of the bedrooms were a little warm during the extreme heat wave, but overall the other positives outweighed that feature. You can tell that the owners really love this home and take pride in it.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing.

The owners of this property did a great job in transforming this home into a wonderful place to get away from it all. The inside is niceley decorated and well kept. The kitchen was supplied with every utensil you would possibly need to prepare a meal. The beds were very comfy and the bedding was very good quality. Although we did not watch any TV at all while we stayed, there was a good selection of DVD's and a few family games. The main reason we chose this property was the pictures of the gardens on the webiste. The pictures are very nice but once we saw it in person we were even more pleased. It was so pleasant to start my mornings out on the deck with my cup of tea and end our day relaxing in the hammock and reading or sitting by the fire. The screened in porch was a plus when the mosquitos came out! The Saugatuck and Douglas areas are very charming and offer a variety of things to do for both couples and families. The owners have put together a book with restaurant menus and things to do in the area that is very helpful.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

I read all the comments in the guest book and they are right! The gardens are amazing; like a botanic garden. So many areas to relax, eat and entertain. Very close to all to do in the Saugatuck-Douglas area. Very charming, relaxing, simple, not too overdone. I'd stay there again!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
