Awesome place!

My husband and I invited four friends to join us for a week of golf and fishing at the Lake. We've stayed several places in prior years, but none compare to this lovely little house! The photos can't adequately depict what you see when you walk in the door. The entire house is tastefully decorated, with lots of thoughtful touches like current magazines, books, and candles. We’ve also never been to such a tranquil spot on the Lake. It’s close to plenty of activity if/when you want it, but perfectly peaceful and a beautiful view to come “home” to. We found everything we needed for a comfortable stay for the six of us, including plenty of cooking utensils, even a large enough skillet for a fish fry! We chose to use the charcoal grill for most of our dinners, although there is also a gas grill available. We highly recommend this property - even the fishing was good! We hope to return again next year.

Awesome Property!!! Will be Returning

Rented this property last year and will be returning this summer again. Great location for skiing and wake-boarding. Situated in a secluded area off the main channel, the property was close enough to go (by boat or car) to restaurants on the lake (Coconuts is great for daytime, but Jolly Rogers has superior food). We also were able to go out on the main and go to some of the bigger named bars. My wife and I have three children (23, 18, and 6) who had a great time swimming and using the floating trampoline and launch pad (remember the movie "Heavyweights"?). We have recommended this property to all of our friends, one of which has booked this summer already. We have rented a place at the lake the last six summers, but this will be the first we will be returning to again. Great relaxing location with all the amenities. The boat slip and lift is an added bonus that is hard to find anywhere else. Thank you for allowing us to use and enjoy your property again!!!

Lake Lover

I am really struggling with the first review. My family (my wife, and two kids in early 20's and their boy friend and girlfriend) had one of the best times of our life. The place is very nice and cozy in a nice quiet cove. The dock with an available slip and boat lift allowed for us to keep our boat nice and clean. The dock also has a sun deck and there is a tramboline the young adults enjoyed. The house is probably 25 feet from the water with no steps. The palce had a brand new ramp to the dock. Inside was very nice. The place has a big open kitchen with lots of bar space. The place is also very pet friendly which was nice since we could bring our three dogs. There are plenty of places on the lake close to eat and drink. I am also a Coconuts lover but only as a place to go and eat and drink(they have a great adult only swim up bar and a beach for the kids). I liked being able to come back to my own quite house to cook and relax. We are unable to return this year due to my son finishing Law school and my daughter finishing her undergraduate degree but I have recommended this place to my friends.

Fantastic Voyage

We had a blast! The place was easy to get to and ready when we arrived. We really enjoyed the deck and bbq grilling. The yard was fenced and flat so my kids and dog could run around. The house was open and provided lots of space for games and whatever. The lift was an added bonus to keep my boat clean. The kids spent lots of time on the trampoline and the water was great for floating. We will return.

Not exactly paradise

We checked in on June 28th. It was a party of 6, my wife and four boys. The description on VRBO was a "beautiful house". The furnishings are old and quite uncomfortable. The kitchen is lacking service items for a family of 6. The linens provided were of poor quality and very old and my wife was not pleased by the condition of the linens. The "bunk room" is quite small and has no window. We lasted one night of a four night rental because the house really did not match the description as written in VRBO. We requested a fair resolution and received none.

Owner response:The house is comfortable, clean,an excellent value and is enjoyed by many! The home is accurately represented on the VRBO site. All the bedrooms have beds that are less than two years old. The linens are all less than 2 years old and of excellent quality. The dishes provided in the kitchen service at least 8 and there are additional plates and bowls to service more. The bunk room has two windows, one of which is a view of the lake. The living room furnishings have been upgraded for the 2011 Season and a leather couch and new chair have been added to the living room. A Brand new flat screen TV was also added. It is unfortunate that the home did not meet one renters expectations, but many have stayed and enjoyed it.
