Location: Oak Island, Southern Coast, Coastal, North Carolina, USA (6 Mile - Southport, 20 Mi - Wilmington, 30 Mi - Myrtle Beach)
Accommodations: Condo, 3 Bedrooms + No additional sleeping rooms avail, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6)
Keywords: Condominium
The Oak Island Beach Villas are ocean front condominiums (facing South) with a common pool that also has direct access to the ocean. Our condo is 450 feet to the walkway over the dunes to the beach and ocean where we see lots of seabirds. We are on the first level; the condos are elevated 8 feet on piers to protect from ocean surges and the fishing pier is 1/4 mile away. The Oak Island Golf Club is across the street and has 2 dining areas, casual and nice.
There is a separate parking area for boats and trailers up to 19' and behind our building is a recreation area with basketball nets, climbing gym and volleyball net. This is the area with picnic tables and charcoal grills.
Oak Island is six miles from the quaint and historic village of Southport, NC; 30 minutes to Calabash, NC and 40 minutes to Myrtle Beach, SC. Going north, the large city of Wilmington, NC and New Hanover Airport is 30 minutes. There are lots of restaurants in the area and we recommend the ones we have tried.
The weather is sub-tropical with Palm Trees growing naturally. The Cape Fear Inlet borders the east end of the island with a beautiful lighthouse and is a large inlet for ocean going ships. A detailed set of pictures and information of the villas is available. Sat to Sat rental.
Owner also owns a 2BR ocean front unit in the same complex, see VRBO #84001.
Available: See calendar Both have 2 bikes, umbrellas and beach chairs.

Why the Owner Chose Oak Island
We loved the quiet non-commercial atmosphere of Caswell Beach which is also close to the activity of the rest of Oak Island. The beach sand is soft and white and we love to walk with the waves lapping at our feet.

The condo was spacious and well decorated . The third bedroom made it so convenient for our whole family and the beach was so close. We enjoyed the bicycles when the kids had enough time in the waves with the boogie boards. A great vacation.
