  My wife and I rented this condo for 1 month. It was clean, nicely decorated, sunny, and in a great location, just a short walk to the beach. It has great water views , right on converging water ways. The owner was wonderful !! He was attentive to my every need , very caring and concerned that his condo had everything I wanted , if not more. He made me feel like I was a close friend--not just a renter. My neighbors were all friendly and social. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Verdi's and DaVinci's were favorites. Has a lovely pool right off the waterway,BBQ,social room . We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.

  My family and I rent this condo EVERY YEAR for our two week vacation. We really have enjoyed our stay each time we have rented from Dr. Mal. He is always available by phone and, if I do get his answering machine, he calls back in record time. Any issues we have had in the condo are immediately rectified to our satisfaction. Our deposits are returned in a timely fashion with fair deductions (if any). We feel that Dr. Mal is equitable and very accountable and we will continue our relationship with him. As far as the condo is concerned, it is clean, well appointed and comfortable. The guest room is perfect for the kids and the bed in the master is so comfortable that I tend to retire early just to lie in it! The property is safe for everyone. The view from the lanai is incredible. We love the place! We know that complainers are the first to write so when we saw the negative feed on this condo, we just had to write to say how much we enjoy our trips to Dr. Mal's condo.

  Recommended for: Age 55+.

  No phone land line. Carpets were used and not clean Cooking utensils were insufficient Faucets dripping-owner did have fixed during our stay. No hot water upon arrival-had to call a plumber in. Unpainted walls and ceilings. Antiquated TV. Furniture worn and not clean Would not go back. Too many nice rentals on Marco to put up with this..

  Owner response: So surprized to get this review a year and 3 months later and no complaints during your stay Erle???? A land line is provided unless the tenant uses a cell phone and doesn't want one. The carpets are shampooed at the end of every rental season. That was a toilet that was running not leaky faucets Erle and we had it fixed for you immediately [replaced flapper]]when you told me about it.. Unfortunately the hot water heater quit on us and was replaced immediately [sorry Erle] normal maintenance. These things happen but you had a brand new hot water heater for the month you rented.There are no unpainted walls or cielings. The wallpaper border around the top of the walls in one bedroom was being replaced maybe you have forgotten it was a year and a few months ago. The TV and the furniture are not new but the furniture is cleaned at the end of each season and very adequate as can be seen in the photos. Dr Mal B

  We spent our first vacation on Marco in this unit. We found some very postive aspects to this unit. The master bedroom had new bedroom furniture and the king size bed was incredibly comfortable. The living room furniture was not what one finds normally in a rental unit. It was a perfect place to relax after a day of activities either on the beach or just riding a bike. The view from the second floor balcony was always changing with either boaters passing by or wildlife winging in and out of the canals. We found the people at Vantage Point to be very inclusive and welcoming. The owner responded immediately to any concerns which we had while staying in this unit. We will be returning to Vantage Point in the future.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

  The condo was dirty. The refrigerator took several hours to clean. There wasn't a single clock in the place, like an alarm clock for the bedroom. The TV was so old the sides of the picture were cut off. There wasn't an ironing board, except for a tiny one you put on a table or counter. Hard to use for two months. We went out and bought new towels because we had some friends coming and were embarassed to have them use what was there. The carpet was dirty, so they agreed to clean it, but it didn't come clean so they charged us to clean it again. The owner charged us for some ratty old bath mats they said we some how wore them out. He sent us $95.00 of our $250.00 deposit and the check bounced. We have rented multiple years from other people and they don't need a cleaning person when we leave. Before we left my wife washed the sheets in guest room and made the bed for them. There was supposed to be a ceilng fan on the lanai, but it was gone and the bare wires were hanging down. When I mentioned this to the owner, he told me to open the front door and there would be a breeze. There had been a wall paper border in the master bedroom, and it was torn down and left with pieces of paper and glue. The windows in the master bedroom had to be held open with sticks, and one was broken and a piece of tape held it together. Don't judge the people at Vantage point by this owner. The other owners were very nice. I'm sure other condos would be fine to rent.

  Owner response: NEVER SATISFIED ! This tenant was a problem from the very begining . A landlords nightmare.The most demanding ever in renting 4 condos for 4 years. First he changed his mind about renting and wanted to cancel at the last minute.but did not want to lose his deposit so he reluctantly kept his agreement. When he arrived he than maintained he could not stay in the condo because of his allergies and was still trying to reneg on his contract. To accomadate him we shampooed all of the carpets even though they were clean and recently done. Then to acommadate him we hooked up internet service at a significant expense to us even though it was not offered with the unit .Nothing satisfied them . He complained there were no alarm clocks in the unit and complained bitterly when we deducted a small amount for 2 bath mats that they ruined in the washing machine.The newly shampooed carpet was filthy and needed to be shampooed again after there tenancy. Unfortunately, my wife closed that checking account for a higher interest account not knowing I had written a check from it and the check was returned..I immediately issued a new check ..The amount he was charged for damages is half of what we spent for his internet.
