Welcome to our Brand new Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco, Mexico) Beach House. This 3 bedroom, 2.5 Bath home is located on the sandy beaches of Puerto Penasco, a beach town on the Northern rim of the Sea of Cortez. There is plenty of room with three outside patios and a large roof-top deck.... all tiled with a built-in grill. Home has two flat screen TVs, ocean views and is a short walk to the beach.
Puerto Penasco, also known as Rocky Point, is a four hour scenic drive from Tucson and Phoenix. The town is 66 miles from the US Border. The home is located 5 minutes from downtown in the gated community of Las Conchas. Las Conchas is an exclusive community of 500 beach homes on 6 miles of sandy beach that are 90% American owned It has 24/7 security and the home has an English speaking caretaker on call. The fishing is excellent all year round and the water is clear and warm for swimming, snorkeling, and diving. The sun shines and the skies are blue about 350 days per year!
Three bedrooms, 2.5 bath home located just minutes from the beach in the exclusive Las Conchas community in Puerto Penasco, Mexico. The ocean water is warm enough to swim in late March all the way through early December. The beaches are sandy, private, and never crowded.
You can learn more about the unique species of birds and ocean life at CEDO. CEDO is located in Las Conchas and has informational tours. A five minute drive will take you into town where there are abundant restaurants, shopping, sightseeing, and nightlife. There is excellent surf fishing on the beach in front of the home, or you can go into town and take chartered fishing tours.
Background information:
There are many things to do in Rocky Point, Mexico. The foremost is of course the ocean and beach. The weather in Rocky Point is usually about 10 degrees cooler than Phoenix in the summer and about 10 degrees warmer than Phoenix and Tucson in the winter. This is the closest ocean we have to Phoenix and Tucson and this is what makes Rocky Point, also known as Puerto Penasco, so popular. Especially since it is only a 3-1/2 to 4 hour drive.
There are all kinds of restaurants from casual to fine dining. There is pizza, sub sandwiches, and American food. There are Chinese, sushi, and sea food restaurants and of course Mexican food restaurants galore. There are numerous grocery stores including the supermarket, SuperLey. They have just about everything we have in our supermarkets here in Arizona.
There is even a Burger King that just opened in 2007. There is Italian and German food and those fantastic taco shops. There is a fish market and Rocky Point is famous for its fresh shrimp. The shrimp season is September through April. In the months from May through August, the shrimp is available but it is frozen. You can go 4 wheeling on the sand dunes or rent quads all over town. There are many shops that sell Mexican curios.
You can relax in the sun, lay out on the sand and work on your tan. Water Sports abound in Rocky Point. You can go deep sea fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, or go on a nature tour. Sea life tours are available for watching for whales and dolphins and there is the Cetmar aquarium along with CEDO which is a ecological preservation society with tours and educational seminars. There are bird island tours, sunset dinner tours, and sunset party cruises.
