This review is long overdue but I had to write it because Seagrape Manor was just spectacular! A group of us travelled to Nassau in August 2011. We were there for my wedding and it was the first trip to Nassau for all of our guests. First of all, I must say that the listing for this wonderful home is very accurate, although I must tell you that as beautiful as the pictures are, the place actually looks much better! From my first communication with Sharlene and Sherry, I received nothing less than prompt and courteous service. They were very helpful and offered wonderful suggestions from wedding venues to restaurants, to local bus information. The unit was very clean ... certainly one of the cleanest I've ever seen! Pride of ownership is evident in everything from the décor, to the pool, to the grounds. We had a fairly large group and everyone agreed that this was the perfect vacation home. Seagrape Manor has everything that you could possibly need and if by some miracle you find that something is missing, you only need to speak to Sharlene and Sherry and they will certainly attend to your every need. The unit is a little way off from the main road, approximately a leisurely 10-15 minute walk to Bay Street. We were a very active bunch so we thoroughly enjoyed the walk to catch a bus into town. Fish Fry is a must for dinner or lunch ... you will get more yummy food than you can handle! Overall, this was a wonderful vacation for us. We loved Seagrape Manor and highly recommend it as your home away from home! Sharlene and Sherry, thank you for making our stay such a memorable one.

Sharlene and Sherry was exceptional host to my daughter, my friends and myself during our stay at Seagrape Manor. We were in the Bahamas for my friends wedding and they both were very welcoming from the time they picked us up from the airport. They even took us grocery shopping as we arrived on the day of the hurricane. The home is extremely well kept and comfortable. We also had access to Wi-Fi and internet access (for teenagers) as well as an international phone for (Canada & the US) to keep in touch with families and friends. They even provided us with a local cell phone. The pool was cleaned immediately after the hurricane so that we could still enjoy it. I strongly recommend Seagrape Manor to everyone as it is also close to everything, with my favorite being the fish fry. They even showed us some site seeing after picking us up from the airport. We all felt very safe in this beautiful home away from home during the hurricane. Seagrape Manor is my “Spot” if I should visit the Bahamas again. Thank you Camille and Livan for hooking us up with this wonderful place.

This is our second stay at Seagrape Manor, and we chose to come back here instead of returning to Sandals (5-star) at Cable Beach. The home is huge and easily accomodated four people. Sherry and Sharlene are warm and very helpful if you need anything, but the self-contained unit is completely private, as well. Seagrape is fully equipped with literally everything you need (right down to portable coolers to pack a beach-lunch, a cell phone, private pool, barbecue and patio, Play Station, computer and internet, laundry, etc). The option to rent a Jeep Wrangler was great this time around and we were able to use Seagrape as our home-base while we toured around the rest of the island. Sherry and Sharlene's properties are the only ones that we would ever consider renting during our visits to New Providence, and we would not hesitate to encourage anyone else to stay here! We plan to return again!

Our stay at Seagrape Manor was delightful. We loved it. Beautifully decorated and clean. Sherry was wonderful and went out of her way to be helpful...including finding us a place to park at the Fish Fry and speeding up our service for dinner at the Anchorage. While our food was being prepared the waiter took us to the street to watch the Junkanoo parade. Loved the people of Nassau. We would certainly recommend this property to family and friends. Twin Brothers has great food, and Traveler's Rest was a good place to eat with a local band.

Sharlene and Sherry add a special touch to Seagrape Manor. The house is absolutely gorgeous and the pictures do not do justice. The house has everything you need and is situated in a quiet and nice area. It is a short distance from downtown and the beach. I rented the minivan and this defiantely helped out with the travelling that our family did. The pool was cleaned daily and we had access to the BBQ which was great. Sherry picked us up from the airport and we were checked into the house. Both Sharlene and Sherry gave us their cell phone numbers and told us to call if we needed anything. All rental features and descriptions are accurate. From the first email of showing interest in this property to the last day that my family and I stayed, we were treated with respect and like we were family. These two ladies are very genuine, hospitable and caring individuals. You do not find this now-a-days. Sharlene and Sherry went above and beyond their call of duty to make sure that we were satisfied staying at their property. My family and I stayed from April 14-April 19th for a wedding. Sharlene even helped me book a personal appointment that I needed to have while I was there. This was done before I arrived in Bahamas. Thank you very much Sharlene. I would defiantely recommend this property to anyone staying in Nassau. Thank you Sharlene and Sherry for being accommodating and giving us a great place to stay while on vacation. I hope to come back in the near future.

My family and I came for 10 days during what is a challenging time for us. Sharlene and Sherry were the most gracious hosts imaginable and the property was beautifully appointed and immediately comfortable. We had everything we needed or could think of and whenever we had even the smallest concern or question, they went above and beyond to accomodate us. The house is in a nice neighborhood, a short drive from the downtown area, Cable Beach and the bridge to Paradise Island. And the nearest beaches (Saunders Beach and Goodman's Bay) are lovely as well. We enjoyed the pool at the house and cooked out on the grill several nights just enjoying the lovely patio and the fresh Bahamian air. It could not have been a better vacation... unless it was longer.

My brother and I stayed at Seagrape Manor from March 2nd to 11th March 2011. Being met at Nassau airport on arrival by a smiling Sherry, one of the owners, was of great assistance and gave us peace of mind as it was our first visit to The Bahamas. Normally when travelling we would stay in high end hotels, but on this occasion we wanted to see the real Bahamas and live amongst local people, not tourists. The property suited our needs and standards exactly and was far beyond what we expected. Seagrape is rented out by the owners, Sharlene and Sherry so they go to great lengths to ensure the property wants for absolutely nothing. It was spotlessly clean, well equipped, beautifully decorated with excellent air conditioning. Location wise it is peaceful and quiet but only minutes from the white sandy beaches of Goodmans Bay and Saunders Beach. It also has easy access to the main routes for island touring and it is on the 'right' side of Nassau to avoid the daily rush hour traffic. The private pool is a great size and was maintained throughout our stay and not a leaf was missed. The local Bahamians are heart warming people and make you feel so included in the community offering unbiased advice on where to eat, what to see and where the little private sandy coves are that only the locals know about. I am so pleased we made the break from being just another number in a faceless impersonal hotel. A great experience from start to finish. I would also highly recommend you opt to use the Wrangler Jeep they have available. The rate is cheaper that any Jeep you will get from Avis or Budget and it is THE way to explore the island. Get the side panels and roof off, enjoy the sun and the fun and remember to drive on the left. ENJOY !

This was our first time to Nassau and were very happy that we chose to stay here. The home is spacious and beautiful, and the optional jeep rental really helps make the stay more fun. We used teh house as 'home base' and went on day trips for the most part, but this could have easily been a place to hang out for a day off from all the exploring. The house looks exactly like the pictures and our expectations were exceded. In terms of activities, Atlantis was overpriced for what you get, but we loved teh Dolphin Encounter at Blue Lagoon, and teh Island Advernture tour to the Exumas was really run. Dinner at Capricios was excellent, too! City Market is near by to stock up on groceries. Overall a great stay.

I stayed at Seagrape Manor from January 28th to February 4th this year. My friend and I brought my son and his girlfriend for his 21st birthday. We were so pleasantly suprised by the accomodations - the photos really do not do it justice. The house was spotless and well appointed and has just about every amenity you can think of that you would want or need on a vacation, right down to the large flat screen tv's in every room. Some of the adventures I would highly recommend are Flying Cloud Adventures catamaran and snorkeling trip on a Sunday, a day pass to Atlantis to use the waterslides, shopping downtown and in the straw market, and definately the Dolphin Experience on Blue Lagoon Island. Even though it was the end of January/beginning of February, the weather was perfect - not to hot and not too cold. A little warmer and we would have been able to make use of the pool so next time we will come a little later in the year. Finally and most important, Sharlene and Sherry were fantastic at making this vacation happen. Sharlene handled the reservations flawlessly and Sherry was so helpful and accomodating, picking us up at the airport and taking me for a shopping run and giving great recommendations - the best tip of all was renting a car as opposed to cabbing it all over the island, giving us much more freedom to roam all over the island and much less expensive. Do not hesitate to book your vacation here, we loved it!
Owner response:Michelle, I truly enjoyed having you and your group as guests of our vacation home. It was easy to accommodate you, because from the time I met you at the airport, I could tell that all of you were excited and ready to have a fun time. I remember thinking, what a great mom!...... to give such an original and generous gift of a trip to the Bahamas to her son and his girlfriend. Yes, you were afraid of driving on the "the wrong side of the road" so I more than hinted about the car....... yet, I did not want you to think that I was pushing you to rent our vehicle, but I knew that it would be more convenient for you. Thanks for the tips on places to go that you left for other guests and for treating and leaving the house as if it were your own. Sherry

After a long day of flying and because it was our first trip to Nassau, it was a relief to have Sherry kindly meet us outside at the airport! After picking up the rental car, she escorted us to Seagrape Manor and although it's a short drive from the airport it was much appreciated since it was nightfall. The neighborhood is pleasant and safe and Seagrape Manor is very attractive and well cared for. The home has ALL the amenities that a family needs including a cell phone with Sherry and Sharlene's phone numbers entered as contacts. The house also had a phone I could use to make free calls to the U.S. The location of the home was perfect. The beach was only a 15" min. walk for us and the house is an easy drive to the West (downtown tourist shops, cruise ships, museums, Paradise Island, Poop Deck restaurant -loved it, and nice, coastal homes). A drive toward the East is the supermarket, the Daq Shack- $6 yummy daiquiris, resorts, hotels and more pretty beaches. Also, we ate dinner 3 times at Arawak Cay (10 mins. drive), a row of seafood restaurants. My favorite was Brunos (right next to Oh! Androis). My husband, 20 yr. old son and I stayed 5 nights there and we were VERY pleased and comfortable. This was the 3rd vacation home we have rented through VRBO and we are "sold" on traveling this was from now on.

I just want to say that we had a WONDERFUL time in the Bahamas and The residence at Seagrape Manor was the SWEET ICING on the cake!!! I will never stay at a crowded and NOISY resort again after staying here!! After a Day of sightseeing, shopping and etc. it was like going home for the evening!! The Decor was awesome and the house amenities made things appealing for everything that we desired. Sharlene and Sherry showed us the hospitality that made me want to rebook another trip immediately!!! Thank you Sharlene and Sherry for EVERYTHING!!! Also the People that we came in contact with in the Bahamas treated us like family and that says it all!!!! We walked, we drove, we partied and even went to the Junkanoo Bahamian Festival and didnt leave till almost 6am!!! We partied at Senior Frogs for New Years Eve and had a BLAST!!! Oh yeah, WE ALL fell in love with Kalik Beer and FRESH conch salad of which we had many times during the week that we were there!!!! If you want to be treated like family and enjoy your Bahamas stay, then SEAGRAPE MANOR is the place to do it!!!!!!

My children and their spouses (6 adults) stayed here for Christmas 2010. It was a vacation that created memories that will last forever. We are frequent renters through the VRBO process but had never rented a property in another country. We were apprehensive about the quality standards we could expect. Our concerns disipated the moment we entered the home. The home is immaculately clean, tastefully decorated, and provides all the amenities to make your stay as wonderful as the surrounding island is beautiful. The floorplan in well designed with lots of individual space, but also plenty of room for a family to gather to watch movies or play the many games provided by the homeowners. The beds are very comfortable, there is high quality linen and towels, and all of the small kitchen appliances you could possibly need are provided. No security concerns here, the property is in the community of the US Embassy within a well-developed high-end neighborhood. The owners are unbelievably responsive. We arrived at several different times and they graciously accommodated everyone. They even came to get us after we were lost in our rental getting from the airport. They answered our every need, even helping when we couldn't get the DVD to play and replacing the bottled water (that they provide to the home) when we advised it was getting low. There is something for everyone in the Bahamas. From great shopping, casinos, water sports, beautiful beaches, the unbelievable Atlantis Resort and delicious local cuisine. We had a marvelous time and highly recommend a visit to the island and a stay at the beautiful SeaGrape Manor.

My family and I had a wonderful time in the Bahamas and a large part was due to Sharlene and Sherry and the house. Sharlene and Sherry were amazing to work with and made everything easy. Sherry met us at the airport and showed us the way back. The house was even better than the pictures depicted. It was truly home away from home. It was great to get up in the morning and just go take a dip in the pool and to have a late night swim. The location was convenient to everything. Sherry provided us with lots of recommendations on where to go visit or where to eat. It was great that items were already provided in the kitchen, which was really helpful. We definitely took advantage of the grill in the backyard. Both Sharlene and Sherry were very helpful if we needed anything at anytime during the day. The phone and internet were extremely useful and definitely came in handy. This was the first VRBO that I had ever used and it was a great experience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great vacation in the Bahamas. We hope to get back there again soon.

We have stayed at other properties in Nassau in the past, and Seagrape Manor is our favourite. We chose the property based on the reviews from this website and were not disappointed! The rental home is huge and completely equipped with everything you could think of. Sherry and Sharlene were very warm and welcoming and went above and beyond what we would ever expect of property managers (thank you Sharlene for driving us to the ferry terminal after we slept in!). We really appreciated the computer and internet, the local and long-distance (Vonage) phone, the x-box, board games, movies, ipod dock, washer-dryer, the pool and the quiet and centrally located neighbourhood. The home is absolutely huge and can easily accomodate many more than the two adults and one child from our trip. We felt like we had complete privacy, far more than we have ever had in hotels and resorts. New Providence is a wonderful island with wonderful people. Our favourite activities include taking the #10 jitney downtown for coffee on the balcony at Starbucks, followed by shopping in the straw market and jewellery shops. You pay the fare as you leave the bus, and be sure to shout "bus stop" when you want to get off the bus, unless you are going all the way downtown. Atlantis is expensive but worth the money if you have kids or like waterparks. Dinner and a walk around the shops of Paradise Island is also a nice way to spend an evening. Sunset dinner at Compass Point is also highly recommended - we have never had dinner with a view like that one before! Generally, New Providence has always felt like a safe and easy place to go for a vacation, even with a 6-year old. We did not hesitate to hire a car and drive around the island. Everyone speaks English and there are Canadian ATMs (Royal Bank and Bank of Nova Scotia) and restaurants (McDonalds, Montanas, Subway), although the local restaurants are much better. There is lots of parking if you rent a car, but (to the Canadian readers) they drive on the "wrong" side of the road and there are many roundabouts, which can be confusing if you are not used to the way they work. All in all, Seagrape Manor is a fantastic vacation home located on a wonderful island. You won't be disappointed.
Owner response:John, Joann and Kyle were absolutely wonderful guests. We are happy they decided to stay at Seagrape Manor out of a number of properties they could have selected, so it was extremely important to us that they enjoyed their stay! Our goal is to ensure a safe and memorable vacation for our guests and we pledge to do whatever it takes! Thank you John, Joann and Kyle for the beautiful review. We look forward to seeing you again soon and hopefully you'll get in the fishing next time!!! Sharlene & Sherry

We have just returned from an amazing week at sea grape manor. Sharlene & Sherry both met us at the airport and took us right to the house. It was so great having so many extra amenities. The house is very nice it has all the space and everything you need. Having the pool was awesome, my kids loved it and it was always kept nice and clean. This house is by far the nicest one we've stayed in over the past 4 years. We went to the beach, the local store, the straw markets off Bay street, and did some snorkeling. When you go shopping go to Super Value they have more and their prices are a little bit lower. The #10 bus will take you all up and down town for $1.00-$1.50. The locals are very nice, and will help you find things if you need. If your looking for some drinking fun and entertainment go check out Senor Frogs down by the marines. We had a blast there. Thank you Sharlene & Sherry for an awesome birthday/vacation I will never forget. Love the Texans

We had an excellent vacation at Bahamas and at the Seagrape Manor. There were five of us, four adults and one 2 years old children. Everyone enjoyed a lot, house was extremely nice and comfortable, just like you want it in vacation. And the beaches, the beaches... Sharlene and Sherry were really awesome persons, they met us in the airport, helped us a lot during two weeks, for example saved one of our diving days when car just didn't start up. Sharlene arranged a lift to nearest hotel and then taxi from hotel to Stuart's Cove. Again Thanks a lot. For sure we will be back... : )

Our small family just returned from 8 days at SeaGrape Manor. We couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome from Sherry and Sharlene. Between the two of them they must know everyone on the island and they have wonderful suggestions on what to see and where to eat. They make you feel part of their family and are truly wonderful hostesses and great examples of the friendliness and warmth of the Bahamian people. Friends of ours had a suite at The Atlantis Resort and our accommodation at SeaGrape Manor was 10x better and so much more reasonable in cost. The house is very spacious, has everything you could want or need and is truly a home away from home. If you are going to Nassau, stay at SeaGrape Manor. You will have a wonderful time.
Owner response:Heather, Lyle and Emily were such gracious guests. They were a pleasure to serve and they fit right in as a part of our family - we look forward to having you return in the near future. Best regards, Sharlene & Sherry

We spent a week at Seagrape Manor and were very pleased with the accommodation. The house is spacious, clean, and private. Both Sharlene and Sherry went above and beyond shuttling us around Nassau. This is a great place to stay whether you are a small family or a larger group. There is a huge backyard complete with pool, bar, lots of tables and chairs, and a couple of barbeques and so for anyone looking for a place to have a birthday or anniversary party, etc. Seagrape Manor would be an excellent venue. Thanks again for a wonderful week Sharlene and Sherry.
Owner response:Andrea, Brian and their friends were an energetic, fun-loving, "youthful" and adventurous group. From walking to the main road to the take the bus, to hopping on a ferry boat to visit Harbour Island or hanging out for a full day over at Atlantis - they never appeared tired! We are happy that you enjoyed your visit to Nassau but truly the pleasure was ours having you stay at Seagrape Manor. We look forward to hosting you again someday - only next time, Sherry and I will plan the surprise party for you! All the best, Sharlene

We were there for the holidays this past Christmas/New Years 2009. We stayed 10 days. It was an awesome experience. The home was beautiful and spacious. Comfortably housed a family of 5. Kitchen was great. Electronics/computer wonderful. Sharlene and Sherry were just amazing. Sherry met us at the airport and helped us get to the house and continued to check on us frequently. Sharlene was an amazing host and made us feel like family. The pool was awesome. It was really an amazing blessing for us to find this home. Without reservation or hesitation, we would recommend it.
Owner response:Obie, Menah and the entire family were truly a part of our family while they visited over the holidays. They were quite familiar with the island and easily commuted without difficulty. They were truly a blessing and we thoroughly enjoyed having them stay at Seagrape Manor over the Christmas Holidays. We particularly enjoyed the roast they treated everyone to just before they left - we will never forget that. It was a wonderful experience!

We had a great time staying at Seagrape Manor. The apartment/condo which was upstairs was beautifully appointed and maintained and very spacious. Sharlene and Sherri we so helpful, providing details on all of the local sites and public beaches. We loved using the Curtis' jeep to check out the island on our own. The unit had everything - of course we didn't realize that or had forgotten until we checked out all of the cupboards and closets. We found several places that were inexpensive to visit or eat. Jaws beach - bring the cooler on wheels and your beach towels. Potters Cay for the Fish Fry. Travelers Nest for the Conch soup and cesaer salad. The Daiquiri shack for the best drinks ever. Stuart's Cove for the snorkeling (diving too if you are into it). Compass point (20.00) and you can use their facilities - pool, hot tub, beach, loungers and towel provided. Just run a tab for your drinks. AND the very best was being able to attend Sharlene's School Reunion at Bernards private beach (The Farm) - LOVED IT. I would recommend this rental to anyone - great for families, has everything inside the unit and a pool if you don't want to hang at the beaches.
Owner response:Laurie, thanks for the beautiful review and we look forward to seeing all of you again real soon. Please give our regards to Shelly! Sharlene

Four of us stayed for 8 nights at Sea Grape Manor and the experience was wonderful from start to finish. We were very pleased to be met at the airport and shown the way to the house as well shopping, etc in the immediate area. The house itself was just wonderful. Every possible amenity was provided, including cell phones and a computer with internet connection. The house was beautifully appointed, just like in the pictures. And Sharlene was fantastic. It was the most pleasant and satisfying experience I have ever had while arranging a location for a vacation. I just can't say enough good things about the total experience. Thank you very much, Sharlene.

We absolutely LOVED Seagrape Manor. Our family of 6 (4 adults, 2 kids) had PLENTY of room and everything one could think of was provided for us. Sharlene and Sherry went above and beyond from meeting us at the airport to watching our children for us so we could have "adult time" (Thank you SO MUCH 'Princess Sherry') to cooking a delicious dinner for us on our last night. I almost don't want to tell anyone about this magnificent place because I want to keep it all to myself. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back soon!
Owner response:We were so happy that the weather was perfect for diving the whole week........... Next time we have to plan for you to go with "Action". I could not believe that John & Pat were your parents ...........they look fabulous and are so energetic! We thoroughly enjoyed having all of you stay at Seagrape Manor, especially Archer & Princess Regan. I love the royalty that was bestowed upon me by Regan - now everyone is calling me Princess Sherry.......... I rarely meet such well mannered children at that age.......Regan is going to be a star!! We are looking forward to seeing you again, so please keep us in mind when planning your next vacation to Nassau! Sherry

I have just enjoyed 11 days in total heaven after staying at the Seagrape Manor. To describe this home will need every compliment imaginable. From the very start I was made to feel so special through my contacts with Sharlene...she is a TRUE gem!! The reservation was the easiest I have ever encountered and most pleasant indeed. This was only the beginning, as when I arrived I was met by Sharlene's awesome business partner Sherry, who had NO hesitation in showing me the delightful, VERY well appointed and VERY clean home. Sherry even went out of her way to take me to the airport to pick up my rental car DESPITE the fact that she had somewhere to go!!! Seagrape Manor has a HUGE kitchen, awesome laundry and head spinning sleeping quarters with nothing spared in the form of elegance and charm. PEOPLE!!!...if you have or plan on visiting Nassau Bahamas and don't make plans to stay at Seagrape Manor.....you are robbing yourself of the ultimate experience of fine Caribbean living in a luxurious, safe and home away from home. AWJ - BERMUDA
Owner response:Alan, thank you for the beautiful review - you are truly an amazing and thoughtful person, ONE OF A KIND!! The pleasure was all ours having you stay at Seagrape Manor, despite the fact that you were on business and did not have time to get in the pool. I have to admit that the housekeeper had very little work to do after you left -the house was SPIC & SPAN - we appreciate you taking such good care of our home!!! Sherry & I missed out on the dinner you promised to make, however, you won't get away next time....... looking forward to seeing you again soon! All the best, Sharlene

We had a great time at the Seagrape Manor. There were six of us in the house, four adults and two children and we had a lot of room. It was very spacious and comfortable, felt like home. Everything you need is right there in the home. It was better than a hotel plus the location was great. The other two reviews nailed it. All I can say is you won't be disappointed at the Seagrape manor and I am a very picky person when it comes to staying at hotels or rental homes.. Sharlene and Sherry are awesome. Hopefully we can go back soon and hangout with the locals again. Everyone in the Bahamas are the nicest people ever. Thanks Sharlene and Sherry for everything! We really appreciate everything you did for us.
Owner response:Tina and her family were truly very "down to earth" people who took time to go into the "over the hill" areas in Nassau and meet/ hang out with the locals. We have very fond memories of their stay.....memories that will last for a very long time!!! Thank you for staying at Seagrape Manor and being such wonderful guests. I look forward to seeing all of you again really soon. Sharlene

What can I say about Seagrape Manor...WONDERFUL!! This was our first trip to Nassau and could not have been more happy with the house and the accommodations!! Sharlene and Sherry went above and beyond of what was expected. They picked us up from the airport, took us to the grocery store, and checked in on us periodically to make sure everything was okay! Thank you so much Sharlene and Sherry for making our first trip to the island a memorable one...Hope to see you both again in the VERY near future!!
Owner response:Kelli, Melissa and Chelsea were three excited young women who came to island to have a great time! It was truly gratifying to see them having so much fun driving around in the Wrangler and not requiring much assistance with directions......I guess this was a part of the fun!!! They did extremely well navigating throughout the streets of Nassau and Paradise Island considering this was their first time on the island and driving on the "opposite side" of the road.....AMAZING!!! Again, it was our pleasure having you stay with us and we look forward with anticipation to your next visit to Nassau! Sharlene

We are a Bahamian family living in the United Kingdom – the Isle of Man exactly. When we decided that we were going ‘home’ for a long awaited holiday, we searched the Internet for premium but affordable accommodations. My daughter found Seagrapes Manor on the Bahamashomeaway website. It seemed too good to be true. I immediately deputised my Bahamian nieces to investigate the accommodations in person. One of the Bahamashomeaway partners, Sharlene Hanna was very welcoming and allowed time for my nieces’ inspection of Seagrapes Manor. The report I received from my nieces’ was, ‘Great! It looks good! Get it! Book it!’ Four of us, plus a guest from Canada, (who stayed for one week), arrived at Lynden Pindling International Airport on 13th June 2009 and were greeted by members of our family and Sharlene who had arranged almost every essential for our holiday. Sharlene had arranged the rental of a more than adequate SUV and very soon we were at Seagrapes Manor. We were more than pleased with the very modern, decorative, clean and spacious accommodations. As promised, everything we needed was there, and the swimming pool immediately caught my ‘children’s’ eyes. In addition to the ‘welcome home’ meal prepared by members of my family, Sharlene had provided basic essential groceries for our immediate convenience. There is a local number telephone and a computer/vonage telephone in the ‘Manor’ and pretty soon we were able to let our husband and father know that we had arrived safely. Except for construction noise, on the new homes, the area was very quiet. This was the beginning of a very comfortable and memorable three weeks at Seagrapes Manor. With the help of our SUV, (it was FAR TOO HOT to walk), we soon discovered how near we were to the beaches, hotels, grocery stores, drug stores/chemist and gym. After going out and about in the heat it was a pleasure to arrive at our air-conditioned accommodations and relax or swim. We took advantage of the maid service and found the ladies who did the job very honest, competent and efficient. When we were leaving, Sharlene’s partner in the business, Sherry, drove us to the airport and did not leave until she was sure that we would be all right. On a scale of 1 – 10, if I were to rate Seagrapes Manor, I would give it a 10 – but then again – I am very biased.Hollie M Johnston
Owner response:Thanks Hollie for such a beautiful review! It was certainly our pleasure having you, Paul, Claire, Anne and Mia stay with us for your long-awaited summer vacation. To be honest, from we began our emails early in the year, it felt like I was in fact preparing for "my family" to visit my home! As the months went by, the excitement transferred from you to me and I could hardly wait to see all of you. You are all truly an amazing family! Hopefully when you plan your next trip to Nassau (don't let it be too long this time), all of the homes in the area would be complete! God Bless you all, Sharlene

I stayed at Seagrape Manor in early August 2009. I was impressed by the size and privacy of the rental, which occupies the entire second floor and includes full access to the patio and pool area, which also very large. The entire rental was well-maintained, with a nice flat-screen TV, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, and new desktop computer for internet access. Basically, the house had everything you could possibly need, and I highly recommend it for a trip to the Bahamas longer than a few days. Staying here, however, requires a rental car to get to beaches and other destinations. Even with the rental car, however, the per/person cost is less than a hotel, if you have at least 4 people. Overall: if you're looking for a house and have 4 to 6 people (and don't mind driving), this is a great deal for the Bahamas. Stay here!

I just got back from my vacation on August 2 2009 for one week in Nassau Bahamas. 7 of us stayed at Sharlenes place and we do not have enough praise for her and her home. It was more then we expected and had the time of our lifes. The house is located in a private and safe area and is a beautiful home with all the luxury's. The pool is amazing and the beach is located just a 3 min drive away. We got to know Sharlene and her family well and we can not complain one bit. We have made new friends and will for sure be coming back soon. I would recommned this home to anyone staying in the Bahamas, your guarenteed to love it.

Most of our holiday stays are either in hotels or with family, Seagrape Manor was definitely more than a hotel, had a personal touch to it. This is not a hotel, it felt more like home and staying with family. Sharlene and Sherry accommodated us at short notice, picked us up from the airport and made us so comfortable in their home. The property description was to a "T", all you could ask for in a summer home and more. Having your own pool was a bonus!.Location was excellent, between the airport, downtown and Paradise Island, accessible by public transit or by car. Beaches, beaches and more beaches..... Cabbage beach was excellent, try to go when there are less cruise ships docked , then the beach is not too crowded. South beach was a good choice, too.... very shallow water, lots of sea creatures to see Nassau folks are friendly and very helpful... the grocery store folks even let us in even though they were closed (their stores close earlier than we are accustomed to) .On one of our bus rides from downtown, one of the locals became our tour guide, and pointed to all the points of interest along the way, too bad we had to get off too soon. Shopping at the Straw market was fun.. try to haggle to get the best price, Liquor was cheaper at the Bacardi shop compared to the duty free shops( as per our kids). Try their conch salad, corn fritters, plantains and seafood at Fish Fry and fresh fruits from the street vendors . Seagrape Manor is highly recommended. Sharlene, Sherry, thank you for your Hospitality......

We came to the island for a funeral but the living accommodations were excellent. The décor was beautiful; the place was exactly like the pictures. We had the best time it was truly home away from home. If you have children they provided video and board games so that the whole family could be entertain just in case it rains. The house is wireless so you can bring your laptop or use the computer provided for you in the house. The house is centrally located down the street from Cable beach and the fish fry and about 5 minutes from downtown. The next time I am in Nassau, I know where I will be staying and I will recommend this place to anyone.
Owner response:It was a pleasure having you, Craig and your family stay with us. Hope the next time you are in Nassau we will have better weather. All the best, Sharlene

Wow! What a place to call home for a few days (or weeks). We studied the pictures prior to our arrival and thought we knew what to expect but were pleasantly surprised at all the extras you don't see online. For example, the home is very spacious, the kitchen is very well stocked (just add food), and the hostess is the epitome of hospitality. From the telephone services to the abundance of towels and dishes, there is very little (if anything) that has not been thought of and provided for. Our stay at Seagrape Manor was truly a pleasure.

I have had the pleasure in staying at this home long before it was a vacation resort. The place is absolutely wonderful. Once you have stayed here, it is hard to stay anyplace else. The people in the home are the sweetest, kindest and most giving people that you would ever come across in a lifetime. Their hospitality is second to none. I have been coming to Nassau for well over 25 years and this place is the BEST OF ALL! You have to experience it to believe it. It really is the next best place to heaven!
