Wow! What an amazing home! This vacation was a surprise gift from my husband for our 10th wedding anniversary and it could not have turned out any better. We stopped along the way to pick up a couple of our best friends and they were just as blown away as we were. There are few things in life that truly have the ability to take your breath away, and the view from this place is one of them. After driving through the night to get there, the views brought tears to my eyes and I forgot all about the 12 hr drive. Cheryl and her husband have created an amazing home here and we are so greatful that they are willing to share it with others. The pictures can not describe the atmosphere of this home. Even though there are several other cabins in the area, you never even notice them. It feels very private and there are no other cabins obstructing the views from the decks. The hot tub was a great bonus as well. After a long day shopping and exploring, it was just what we all needed. Looking forward to coming back and all bringing our kiddos next time. I would reccomend this rental to anyone looking to truly enjoy the beauty that the Smokeys have to offer. I also reccomend that when staying here, you take the time to make the drive to the forgotten town of Elkmont. We had wanted to do this for some years now, and it was SO worth the short drive. Lots of history for those interested. We are already planning our next trip, and can't wait to return to the cabin that now holds a special place in our hearts.

What an amazing cabin with every thing you would need away from home to relax, read a good book, catch up with family, or even bring the whole family. We loved the well supplied kitchen and the decorations throughout the cabin. The views were breathtaking and especially the views from the balconies. The kids were comfortable and felt welcome by the bears all around the cabin. Our chihuahuas loved the smells and running up and down the steps. We are definitely planning another visit!

We needed a break - from life's stress. After searching for a cabin, I came across "Glimpse of Heaven". Even the name suggested a "peaceful retreat'! The pictures and description of the cabin were as presented. The beds were comfortable, kitchen well equiped, cabin decorated beautifully. I thouroughly enjoyed drinking my coffee early mornings on the deck looking out to the mountains - watching nature wake up. There were rockers, and swings, and picnic table on the deck,.It is in quite Wears Valley with hills & mountian in view, and several miles from busy Pigeon Forge. We had cable and wireless internet. Our only negative - (Although I didn't use it), my daughter said the hottub smell musky and needed water. Over all it was a well needed rest, in a beautiful cabin with a "Glimpse of Heaven" in view!

My husband and I moved to Nashville 2 years ago and my son and daughter-n-law live in NC. So we decided to meet in the middle for the MLK weekend. We had never experienced the Smokies. We feel like we were blessed selecting the perfect cabin. The view is spectacular and the cabin is beautiful. We purchased our groceries and totally enjoyed the cabin. They provide an awesome grill and the best hot tub. We played pool and watched the NFL playoffs. The best getaway ever and even though it is so close to all the action we found the heavenly cabin perfect for us. I would highly recommend and will return someday!

We had a great time in our stay at one of your cabins 17-22nd..it was beautiful in and out..just me and my youngest girl stayed there on the mountain top and the scene was awesome with sun rises and sun sets, the cabin was fantastic!! Thank you for allowing us to rent it for 5 days, we had a blast at the dinner shows and seeing all the sights around and in Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg. Wears Valley is a beautiful area.. We hope to come back to Tenn. next year in the summer time. again thankyou! (Lee)

My wife and I wanted to rent a cabin for our 34th wedding anniversary. The regular place we stayed was booked so I looked and found "Glimpse of Heaven". The cabin was available so sight unseen we rented it. Upon our arrival we knew we made the right choice. The cabin is very well kept, clean and had a view that was incredible. Cheryl was very kind and our every need was met. The location is secluded without being remote and is located close to Cades Cove, Towndsend and the Dollywood, Gatlinberg area. You may decide to sit in the rocking chairs on the middle porch, the loveseat on the lower or take a nap in the hammock on the top porch. Thats right, you have three levels of relaxation and view to enjoy. The only problem you will have here is picking which level to relax on. We will be back as the cabin is wonderful and the location is perfect.

We were looking for a quiet, comfortable getaway and that is exactly what we got at Glimpse of Heaven. The cabin is warm and welcoming, although we spent most of the time on the decks enjoying the incredible Smoky Mountain views. Would definitely recommend, and look forward to going back again someday!

What a wonderful time we had staying at Glimpse of Heaven. We will be returning I'm sure. It is the most stocked cabin rental we have ever stayed. It is very clean, better then average towels and linens. The kitchen has everything you need and more. I really loved all the colorful dishes. I really loved the knife set! We do a lot of cooking at home and I felt as if I was in my own house as I prepared our meals while staying at G of H. I will recommend this cabin to anyone that I know is coming to the Pigeon Forge Gatlinburg area. Our stay was the best we have ever had. Location was wonderful. You don't have to fight the traffic going into Pigeon Forge by coming thru Townsend. But it doesn't take you but a few minutes to be in either PF or Gatlinburg. Again location is the best!!! The views are amazing. I only wish it had been fall colors. We will have to come in the fall next time.

Cheryl, we stayed at your cabin last weekend and that is the cleanest cabin we have ever been in. We come to the Smokies 3 or 4 times a year and we were amazed with your cabin. We just got back home and wanted to tell you what a wonderful time we had at Glimpse of Heaven. It was one of our top favorite vacations. The view was great, and the cabin so clean and nice. We loved the Bible verses and reminders throughout the cabin. Just wish we had 1 more week to relax there. We stayed busy. We would love to stay here again one day. My husband and I were very pleased with the amazing view, clean cabin, and all of the extras that made our stay so comfortable. We especially enjoyed watching the sunset and the stars while relaxing in the hot tub after days of sightseeing and hiking in the Smoky Mts. . Everyone we met was welcoming and helpful. When my husband and I arrived and opened the door to this cabin, we just dropped our bags and actually laughed because we were so delighted with this beautiful home. We were like kids exploring each room and each level. But, the view, ahh, the view was our favorite! It is spectacular (there are even numerous comfy swings and chairs on which to enjoy it also). This place was so clean you could just smell it, but not the flowery nasty smell, just clean and fresh. I think the floors actually squeaked when we walked on them they were so clean. The owners were refreshingly helpful and kind throughout our transaction and interactions. The location is ideal for easy access to the hiking areas of the mts., as well as Cades Cove. Both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge were just a short drive away also. We appreciated the fact we didn't have to drive through those towns each day to get to our destinations. I wish we could give you more than 5 stars. This was the best experience we have ever had renting a vacation home. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! PS, We recommend Little River BBQ just down the road for a great meal!

I want to just tell you what a wonderful, wonderful vacation we had in your beautiful home last week. Thank you so very much for having us. I drive over 100 miles per day commuting to and from work and each time I get in the car, I say a prayer before I embark on my journey. I did the same last Monday morning as we left home. Not only did the Lord answer my prayer and we arrived safely, but He met us at the door and spent the week with us. I was in awe with every aspect. The shepherds literally stopped me in my tracks as I went down the steps to the game room. My husband opened the door and came back to the truck to help me with things, and he said, "It's beautiful!". We fell in love with your decor, the view, the amenities, and the home itself. Thank you doesn't seem like enough to say. We also appreciate your letting us bring Pepe and Amigo. They loved sleeping in their beds in front of the fireplace. I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at Glimpse of Heaven last week. We've booked rentals through VRBO before but sometimes the accommodations aren't exactly as described. However, we could not have been more pleased when we opened the door to Glimpse of Heaven. The cabin was absolutely gorgeous, spotless, and perfect in every way. There was no evidence of pets staying there previously (no odors or dog hairs floating around!). The kitchen was supplied with all the necessary cooking utensils for a week's stay. The view was spectacular from all three decks, which was where we spent most of our time (usually in the hot tub!). The swings, rocking chairs, and hammock got a lot of use from us, and we enjoyed watching the hummingbirds visit your feeder. I couldn't get over the fact that every room had a view of the mountains. We spent every evening watching the sun as it slipped down behind the mountains and marveled at God's beautiful creation. It was a very relaxing and quiet week, which was just what we needed. It is obvious that you have given a lot of thought into making comfort a priority at Glimpse of Heaven. We hope to be able to return for another relaxing stay. Glimpse of Heaven is just perfect! The cabin was neat and extremely clean upon our arrival. The pictures do not do justice to the view and we were pleased to find that we could watch the sunset each evening from one of the three decks. The area that the cabin is in is quiet and the fishing pond is well stocked. The kitchen is outfitted better than any cabin we have every stayed in. We brought a pack of dishes and utensils from home just in case we needed them and ended up leaving the pack in the car....there was no need for it! The beds are very comfortable and the game room level was a great place for our daughter to hang out and enjoy vacation. The location is close to grovery stores and the highlights of the national park while still being far enough away from the hustle to make it seem like you are the only one enjoying the peace and quiet. Our dogs loved the cabin and the owner of the cabin was nice enough to allow us to add a last minute furry family member. Our experience was the best we have ever had after years of visiting the Smoky Mountains in this area. We will come back time after time to Glimpse of Heaven. Glimpse of Heaven is a fantastic place to stay if you find yourself in the Gatlingburg area. It is absolutely gorgeous and the luxurious extras make it worth the while! The amenities were amazing, view was fantastic, and it is worth every penny. The entire weekend we kept saying to each other, this was totally worth it. We would like to thank you for allowing us to stay in your cabin to help us celebrate our fourth year anniversary. My husband and I just could not agree on a hotel/resort in the area and when your "Glimpse of Heaven" cabin was brought up, we jumped on it. It was so nice spending the weekend relaxing and enjoying the wonderful mountain view. The first night we just sat on the swings and watched the sun set. It was so peaceful and beautiful! We loved everything about the cabin...the hot tub was very relaxing after a day of exploring Pigeon Forge and I loved the bear collection. I'm a huge animal lover so I would joke with my husband that he would have to stop me from taking them all home! And everything was so clean...the housekeeping does a great job. Glimpse of Heaven is the perfect name for this cabin. It is the perfect spot for piece and quiet. The view is spectacular and the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed that we were away from the crowded streets of Gatlingburg and Pigeon Forge but yet we could get to that area so easily. We got to see tons of snow which was both exciting and scary at times (driving up the mountain on the back roads can be tricky when the snow is thick) - BUT we ended up making it around just fine! We enjoyed sightseeing in the area and doing the "typical" tourist activities ... but we would have been perfectly happy just sitting in the cabin enjoying the view. Glenn and I booked this cabin and my brother and his wife (from VA.) came and stayed with us, this was their first visit to Pigeon Forge. They loved the cabin and didn't want to leave we had the most wonderful time and the best of view anyone could ask for. We spent from Wed. to Mon. and it just wasn't enough time. We would and will go back again. We really enjoyed playing pool every night and watching the sun go down in the evenings. Cheryl I was wondering if you found your new addition to your bear family? While this was only our second trip to the mountains, it was by far, the best. We were allowed to bring our two dogs and there was more than ample room for us and them. The views were fantastic, the cabin absolutely everything I had hoped for. And, best of all, it snowed the day after our arrival!!! I could not have asked for anything more, except of course, a longer stay! We will certainly book a stay at Glimpse of Heaven again!

Cheryl - Glimpse of Heaven is justly named. Unlike other places where we've stayed, the amazing views depicted on your web site are exactly what you get. We could have spent another week just hibernating in the hammock or relaxing on the deck swing - we especially enjoyed watching the clouds creep in through the valleys below. Upon arrival, we knew we had found the perfect place for our much needed vacation. As we walked around the porch, even before entering the cabin, we were in awe of the view. It was exactly what we had hoped for but never knew existed. The cabin had every thing necessary to make a dream vacation. We enjoyed the hot-tub daily, wanted to bring the swing home with us (just so comfortable and unusual). We loved the time spent here, hope we will be able to call Cheryl again and be able to come back to this little piece of heaven on earth. We rented this cabin for my parents who have never been to the area. Besides the tremendous view and the great location, the cabin reflected great pride in ownership. It was far enough from the Forge and easily accesable to both entrances of the park. Appliances were top rate, furniture comfortable and the gas grill was fantastic...we used it most nights. We were able to take our dogs, yet there was no indication that pets were there previously. We HIGHLY recommend this cabin to anyone looking for an upscale cabin with a great view!

We enjoyed this cabin and vacation tremendously. The cabin is clean and beautiful. The views outstanding. There was enough entertainment value in the cabin itself with the hot tub, pool table and hammock that our kids were happy and occupied. The location was great with the quiet entrance into the park, but easy 15 minute access to Pigeon Forge if desired. We did enjoy the outdoor pool on a couple of hot afternoons. We stayed at Glimpse of Heaven on June 28-July 3rd. This is the 6th summer we have been to the smokey mountains and the first time we have stayed in Glimpse of Heaven and this was our favorite cabin. The view was awesome but we didn't have enough time. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. We did go to the pool and ponds for a day. We love to go to the mountains and tube. This is a great family vacation for your family. (teens or small kids) We have 2 teens and they love coming to the mountains. They played pool and we did get in the hot tube a few times. We just returned from a week at "Glimpse of Heaven", and I cannot imagine a nicer place to stay. The view is spectacular, and everything about the cabin was perfect. My only 'complaint' is that it's a long drive from Maryland, but we hope to return someday.

Hello Cheryl, I just wanted to let you know that Jeana and I had a fantastic time in the Smoky's and the "Glimpse of Heaven" is a fantastic, beautiful and relaxing place to stay. We had four great days of weather and really enjoyed ourselves hiking the trails, riding horses, etc. Your place is so clean, and everything that you said it was. I can't say enough about it. It was perfect. We both hope to go back sometime in the future and when we do, I am sure that it will be at "Glimpse of Heaven". I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed your cabin over the weekend. It was simply perfect and very relaxing and the view is even better than I imagined from the pictures :-) The kids and the dogs also enjoyed it very much.

We truly enjoyed our stay in the 'Glimpse of Heaven' cabin. The view of the Smokey Mountains was amazing. The cabin was extremely clean upon arrival with no pet odor's at all. Cozy, clean and a great place to relax after a long hike in the Smokey's. We loved relaxing in the hot tub while looking out over the breathtaking view. We loved the seclusion of the cabin, yet it's just a short drive to Pigeon Forge. There's so much to see and do.

We wanted to take our grandkids on a special Christmas trip they would never forget and we picked the perfect cabin--the teddybears made them feel like that were in fairyland just for kids! It was perfect for us and the view of God's mountains could not be beat--Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for such a special place---Mark and Becky Clemons

August brought to a close our second trip to a Glimpse of Heaven in a little over a year. We plan to return at least one more year to the Great Smoky Mountians and it will be at the Glimpse of Heaven cabin once again! We love that it is on the "quiet side" of the park near Townsend. (I describe Pigeon Forge as Orlando in the middle of Tennessee. We are looking for a peaceful vacation lately, and this place fits the bill perfectly.) The cabin is very clean, very well equiped, and beautfully decorated. Our entire family recommends it! Rich, Lucy, Livy (16), and Ben (12). PS. We do venture into Pigeon Forge to visit, but we are glad we can head back to the mountians at at the end of the day. For birders...this year we saw a indigo bunting and last year it was a scarlet tanager from the deck.

Hi Cheryl, just wanted to thank you for the awesome cabin that you have. The place was very well-kept, and the views (from all 3 decks) were great. My wife and I spent alot of time in the hammock just relaxing and enjoying the view. It was very quiet, and our dog enjoyed it too! Thanks also for the guide on things to do in the area, we did the Cades Cove trail on bikes and we really enjoyed it. We will definitely keep you in mind the next time we plan a trip to the Gatlinburg area.

Hi Cheryl, I just wanted to thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. It was a wonderful 4 days, with amazing weather. The inside of the cabin was so comfortable, and furnished so well. The views were spectacular, and the decks were simply amazing. We could not have asked for a better weekend, and better place to stay. I look forward to visiting again soon.
