Welcome to the lake! We recently built this custom cedar vacation home and designed it for complete vacations away from it all. The home is isolated, with no neighbors in sight and hidden at the end of a long driveway, not visible from the road. With that in mind, we have tried to anticipate our guests needs to relax, enjoy and have fun. On the lakeside of the house is an over-sized great room with cathedral ceilings, a large stone wood-burning fireplace, a dining room with space for up to 12 adults, an island kitchen with professional stainless appliances, two sinks, including 3 full-size ovens, microwave and triple sliding glass doors leading out to a massive wrap-around deck overlooking the private lake and private dock. The deck provides a magnificent view of the lake, natural surroundings and wildlife. The deck is over 2,300 square feet and has hosted receptions, parties and weddings.
At the water's edge, there is a small bluff and our lakeside private dock comes with a row boat and peddle boats ready to fish, recreate and simply enjoy the private 100 acre lake. There is also an outdoor 6 person Hot Tub to relax at any time or after a long day! Sitting on a mountain top elevation of 2,200 feet above sea level, the fresh air is amazing! We provide exceptional satellite TV with all of the premium movie channels included, some 400 channels in all. There is a large set in the great room, and a separate set in the basement den.
We are conveniently located for year-round activities. We are near Hunter and Windham Ski Mountains (30 min), Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame (35 min), Oneonta colleges (25 min) and Albany city (40 min). There are lots of restaurants nearby and several hiking and mountain bike trails in the Catskill National Park as well as snowmobiling locations in the winter. There are golf courses, horseback riding farms, miniature golf, and a variety of museums and some natural wonders like Howe's Caverns to explore.
We designed the home to comfortably accommodate guests. The home has five bedrooms, and five bathrooms. There are three master bedrooms each with an attached full bathroom. The home has 4 queen beds, 8 twin beds and lots of space to relax. There is a full-size pool table and foosball table in the den, along with a wood-burning stove. Whether you choose to explore the lake, surrounding area or just stay home, the home includes everything you will need to have a wonderful time away from it all in complete privacy and luxury.
