Podere Vigliano is a 250 year old farmhouse beautifully restored in the old style. It lies on 10 acres in the heart of Italy on the border of Umbria and Tuscany. Ideally located midway between Rome and Florence it is easy to visit the famous hill towns of Umbria and Tuscany and return home to the countryside to relax. The A-1 autostrada and the main train station in Chiusi are close by for easy access.
The farmhouse sits about 500 meters above sea level and looks up to the ancient medieval hill town of Monteleone d'Orvieto. It's cypress lined entrance welcomes you to the enchanting private grounds. Take a walk among the olive groves, vineyard, fruit trees, oak forest, and manicured gardens, or just relax in an easy chair under the pergola or sit on the terrace reading, sipping wine, and enjoying the peaceful views.
We are walking distance to the walled town with several great restaurants, bars, wine bar, forno, and grocery stores. Monteleone hosts several well known festivals. Cooking classes or a cook at the farmhouse can be arranged, as well as customized tours or itineraries.
