This lovely newer home is nestled among the tall Pine & Cedar trees. It is a short distance from the Pines Village, where you will find, a full service grocery store and deli, souvenir, gift, and antique shops, clothing store, restaurants, seasonal bakery and marina.
Bass Lake is a beautiful warm water mountain lake, ideal for boating, swimming, fishing and skiing. The average summer lake temperature ranges from 72 to 80 degrees. Bass Lake offers many summer activities in addition to the water sports such as hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking. There are also two golf courses nearby in Ahwahnee and one in Yosemite at Wawona.
Winter activities include cross country and downhill skiing at Badger Pass in Yosemite, ice skating at Curry Village in Yosemite, snow play and snowmobiling areas nearby.
Yosemite National Park is just minutes away, ideal for a day trip. Just inside the gate at the southern entrance is the Mariposa Giant Sequoia Grove. On your way to Yosemite National Park, stop at the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad for a wonderful ride back in time on the rail cars pulled by an authentic steam powered locomotive.
Another summer day trip is a drive along the Sierra Vista Scenic Byway. This drive will take you through some of the most beautiful & scenic areas of the Central Sierras. Check the Sierra National Forest website for more details.
Take a evening boat ride to Miller's Landing for a great cheeseburger or that special ice cream sundae. Miller's offers a grocery store, soda fountain and grill. Plus you will find personal water craft, party barges, ski boats and fishing boats available for rent at their marina.
The town of Oakhurst is 15 minutes away and offers two supermarkets, numerous places to eat, cinema and shopping. There is also the Chukchansi Casino located approximately 15 to 20 minutes south of Oakhurst, which offers wonderful restaurants including a buffet, Italian restaurant and 50"s diner.
