Firefly Creek ~ a Creek-Side Paradise
- Minimum stay:N/A

Firefly Creek is nestled among the white pines and mountain laurel of the North Georgia Mountains gently sloping down to a nice creek with natural spring. During certain summer nights sit on the wrap around porch to watch your very own firefly show. It is truly a remarkable sight; children and adults of all ages will be mesmerized with the thousands of tiny flashes in the dark.
Firefly Creek is surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest. While you are only minutes from town, you feel like you are a world away; very secluded wooded property in a gated community.
Firefly Creek is an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings. It is tastefully decorated with a personal touch that makes you feel right at home. Relax in the bubbling hot tub soaking your cares away or by the outside stone gas log fireplace taking in the sweet sounds of nature. You may even spot a thirsty deer sipping water at the creek.

We visited Firefly Creek for a week this summer and found it to be a wonderful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of our Florida lifestyle. The creek was so peaceful and we truly enjoyed the firepit and hot tub. We took day trips to local towns and so enjoyed watching the tubers as they floated down the rivers. this location is really convenient to many sights and trails. It was absolutelty beautiful and so quiet. Thank You for sharing this piece of paradise with us and our family!!! As a side note... we did cook most of our meals at the cabin and would have been able to use more and larger skillets for cooking breakfast there were plenty of pots and pans for everything else. Also the trash can is rather small to accomodate 9-10 people. Other than that the place was absoloutely great and we would highly recommend it.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

We came to Georgia from Florida & found a peaceful getaway, a little slice of Heaven! From the soothing creek to the sound of the rain out in the middle of nowhere, it was hard to leave the cabin to venture out into town. Very peaceful, very restful, warm fireplaces, amazing hot tub! Definately 5 stars!!!!! We will be going back again and again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your wonderful review and hope to see you very soon!!!!

Firefly Creek is a lovely, quiet, well decorated cabin located in the Aska Road Adventure area. For those not familiar with this area, it offers fishing, hiking, exploring, or just enjoying quiet time with your family. The property is adjacent to the Chattahoochee National Forest. The whole cabin is decorated with bears and bees. It is gives the wonderful feeling of being home but yet you know you are still on vacation. The cabin is two level which worked great for us. Myself, my wife, our youngest daughter, who is 16 years old, a friend of hers traveled there in mid-October. We were pleased to find the 2 levels allowed the kids to have the lower level for themselves and the upper level for my wife and me. The kids had a full bath, 2 bedrooms, the gaming area, a gas fireplace and multiple TVs including a large flat screen in the family room area. The cabin owners were also kind enough to offer DVD movies for renters to watch. The upper level was great for my wife and me. We had an awesome master bedroom with a king size bed and full master bath. Outside the French doors from our room was a good sized hot tub that overlooks the trees and creek on the property. It as so peaceful to sit there and enjoy the bubbling hot water, the crisp, cold, clear air but also hearing birds and the wind in the trees. The kitchen was functional for us. While we were there for only a few days, we found the kitchen well appointed with eating utensils, dishes, pots, etc. The upstairs living area has a great gas fireplace which was an awesome place for my wife and me to sit and cuddle, chat about our future or plan the next day’s adventures. The property also has a fire pit next to the creek. It is so peaceful to sit next to the fire, and listen to the rushing water. We did have some rain while we were there but we were able to use the deck off the upper level and enjoy yet another gas fireplace and the comfy rocking chairs. Be sure to enjoy the mountain views and scenery while you are there. This cabin is located in close proximity to the Old Sautee Store outside Helen. It is a step back in time. Or see Brasstown Bald, the highest point in the South. Be sure to also enjoy a slow ride on the Richard Russell Scenic Highway. Be sure to stop at all the overlooks and bring a camera. My wife and I are already saving our pennies to go back to the Firefly Creek cabin but we are planning for a full week this time.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.
