Our vacation at starlight by the sea was nothing shy of amazing. Joy was more than helpful throughout the entire process from payment to the end of our stay. The wildlife in the area was awesome! My favorite part of the vacation was the hammock---this was a very very relaxing vacation. The pictures do not do the property justice. Everything was above my expectations. Joy-thank you for opening your house to us. I will most definately be rebooking and bringing our dogs again! I think they had more fun than we did! :)

Starlight by the Sea was as pictured and accurate in the description. Owners were available to answere any concerns and questions. I would recommend this place to friends and family . We went horseback riding on the beach. We ate at Triple Tails, a local restaurant which served a delicious, fresh menu - great seafood. Also ate at Sunset Coastal Grille - very good. Rented bikes from Happy Ours Rentals. Rode Indian Pass Road. Walked along the beach, taking pictures of the sunsets. Property was clean.

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children, pet owners.

I have been to this area for a vacation for about 15 years now and we have finally found the perfect place. We stayed here in early November for a week. The experience started off well with timely communication by the owner. When we arrived the home was even better than expected! The pictures don't do it justice. The home was extremely clean, very well appointed, and felt much more like a home than a rental. The beds were comfortable and the linens so soft. The outside back deck was huge! I read an entire book in the hammock! The beach was quiet and clean. We saw dolphins, sting rays and many jelly fish. The nature preserve was very intriguing to look at . We hated to leave. Our damage deposit was returned within days. We will certainly be back to Indian Pass and we want to stay at Starlight by the Sea.

Starlight By The Sea has got to be one of the best vacation rentals we have ever rented. Joy made renting the property such an enjoyable experience. The house was everything we wanted it to be and more. Fabulous views everywhere you looked. The furnishings in the home were top notch. Fishing was exciting. We literally had the beach to ourselves. Local oysters and scallops were scrumptuous. The only drawback was having to leave. Thank you Joy for an experience we will never forget and so hope to come back to one day.

This is a wonderful beachhouse! The adults had an awesome time as well as our 3 dogs. It is seconds from the beach and a very comfortable home! My friends and i would recommend it to anyone. The owners were very timely on response to emails as well as mailing back our security deposit. Beautiful place to stay!!

First time staying in the area although we have visited several times. Pictures are very accurate. House is very clean and well laid out. The view is phenominal! Loved the location, loved the big porch. Thermocells were a huge help in the evenings while sitting outside cleaning all the scallops we gathered from St. Joseph Bay. Yummy! Kitchen is a bit small for a group of 6 that like to cook but everything you need is there. They even have surf rods and beach chairs available. We had a large time.

From the booking stages, through our return home, the owners couldn't have been more pleasant, accommodating, and helpful. The house and location are as perfect as described. We were familiar with the area, but had not stayed in Indian Pass before. It is the ideal "get-away" and so wonderful to be able to enjoy our dogs with us during down time. We had 3 dogs and "their" 6 people and were very happy with the space. ........Fishing, kayaking, beach walking, and lounging on the great porch with the terrific view.... And two small towns close enough to visit when and if you want to. It is perfectly situated between Port St. Joe and Apalachicola (20 min. either direction) Good restaurants in both towns...The photos of the house and beach are very accurate and everything is well maintained and wonderfully set up for people and their canine family members. We can highly recommend the house (although we don't want to, as we would like to keep it as our secret)!! Hope to return again and again.....

a slice of heaven

We stayed at Starlight by the Sea for the first time this year, the first week in June. It truly was a slice of Heaven. Our children and dogs had a BLAST. The beaches were almost deserted....on the busiest day there we saw 8 other people. Our children loved having the run of the place! They sunbathed, swam, caught hermit crabs and blue crabs and ran up and down the beach with the dogs. We could not have pictured a more beautiful place to spend our vacation and were SO sad to leave. Thanks for everything.

We can't believe it, but we finally found the perfect place...like Goldilocks, we found Starlight to be "just right"! Your vacation home was furnished so comfortably and you thought of everything, including gorgeous flowers to welcome us. What a beautiful place--the deck is absolutely the best! We spent the last two weeks of October at Starlight by the Sea with our dogs. What a quiet, peaceful place to be. We loved the views and watching all the birds and butterflies. The dogs "befriended" Henry the Heron and had a wonderful time exploring the beach and resting up on the deck. I, personally, claimed the hammock. The house was neat, clean, attractive, comfortable and set up for the dogs and their humans. We hope to be back.

Its taken me a month to get around to submitting this review, but I definitely wanted to write one because of the absolutely wonderful experience my group and I had at Starlight by the Sea! The house was so well appointed and comfortable. Loved the nice big sitting room and the flat screen. The deck was incredible and the beach access was so convenient. We fought over the hammock all the time! The views were just unbelievable. We kayaked out to St. Vincent Island which was so much fun and beautiful as well. I definitely hope to go back there in the future. We just loved the secluded feel and uncrowded beach! The best beach vacation I've ever had by far!

Our family just returned from vacationing at Starlight by the Sea and had a magical time. The home was well kept/stocked,comfortable and the deck was amazing! Traveling with 3 young children we were very happy with the gates on the deck at multiple locations! This was our favorite vacation we have taken as a family! The view was beautiful and we practically had the entire beach to ourselves each day. We love the location of this home and the absolute privacy and peacefulness that we experienced while visiting. Thank you to Joy and Bob for a fabulous week and wonderful memories for a lifetime! We will be back next summer to create more memories for our family!

My family and a friend's family stayed there together for a week in June and it was heaven! The house is clean, tasteful, comfortable, perfect! The view is extraordinary. We watched birds and dolphins from the deck and the water was calm (and shallow) enough for our young children to play in the entire time. and our dogs were swam and went on walks with us everyday. Joy was, well, a joy to interact with and was the kindest hostess you can imagine. We will come again!

Starlight by the Sea is even better than the pictures. The porch is awesome - there is shade all day when you need a break from the sun. It was a perfect place for our 4 month old puppy to play/rest. We will definitely be back.

We absolutely loved Starlight, which is a perfect name for the home because the stars were so bright at night. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed. The deck is so large that everyone could relax in different areas of the deck and take in the beautiful view (and was a great place for the dogs). Even the view from inside was great. I could watch the sunrise from the master bedroom. It was easy to access the beach.

Starlight is a beautiful, clean and comfortable house in a gorgeous, peaceful location just across from the St. Vincent National Wildlife Refuge. The spacious deck provides a fabulous view of the beach and the water. The owners were welcoming and hospitable. Now this is a vacation away from it all!! We'll definitely be back!
