We hope you’ll consider staying at our favorite place on earth. Our cottage was featured in an article in the spring 2007 issue of Cascades East Magazine. Please visit our VIRTUAL TOUR link listed below. The following excerpt is from the article:
“ Honeymoon cottage turned out to be the most charming, well appointed and restful place I could have imagined. A good book and sounds of the river just outside your window lull you into an early night’s sleep. The Honeymoon Cabin has recently been remodeled with an eye toward the modern and charm with a deck that practically hangs over the McKenzie River.”
Here are some additional comments from our guestbook:
“Spent our 10th anniversary here. Of all the places we’ve stayed in Oregon this one is the sweetest. One of the best times of our lives!! We will be back and bring family & friends.”
“Loved the cabin! Fireplace was such a comfort in the chilly rain. Fall leaves beautiful. Peaceful and quiet, we don’t want to leave!”
“Of all the cabins we have stayed in, this has been the most memorable. It’s hard to compare this place to anywhere else and that is what makes it so unique. We will be coming back soon and again and again.”
Recreational opportunities abound with nationally recognized Tokatee Golf Course only a mile from the cabin. Guided fishing trips and rafting are available on the renowned McKenzie River. Plentiful hiking opportunities and the historic Belknap Hot Springs are just minutes away.

Even better than we expected from the description and photos... Very clean; well-maintained. Only complaints: outdoor grill needed cleaning; and having only one roll of bathroom tissue is a bit scary. Great location - full length covered deck right on the river; the waters lulled us to sleep every night. Plenty of nearby activities: hiking at Sahalie & Koosah Falls; Proxy Falls; Linton Lake; lava beds; Clear Lake... golf; Belknap Hot Springs; white water rafting... Or just relax and watch the river. We mostly ate in, but the Holiday Farm across the road is ideal for a special meal. Recommend highly!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: 2 rolls in each unit now!!!!!!!!!!!! Jeanne
