This 2500 Sq Ft home is suitable for 8 people or less. Located about 5 minutes from Ferry Boat landing.
Two bedrooms have king sized beds & two have twin beds (linens provided including household towels/wash cloths...PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BEACH TOWELS AS NOT PROVIDED). There are two fireplaces...one in the master and one in the Great Room. The Great room has large windows overlooking the Puget Sound. The full Kitchen is newly remodeled with granite countertops and tile flooring(throughout the common downstairs areas).
The utility room off the kitchen has washer, dryer and an oyster bar!. There is one bedroom on the main floor("fish room") with twin beds and a private bathroom. The sound front Master bedroom upstairs has a king bed, fireplace, bathroom and doorway to the observatory.
The sailboat room also has a king bed and is waterfront also. The 4th bedroom("shell room") has twin beds and shares the hall bath with the sailboat room...or also use the downstairs bathroom(4th bath) off the Great Room.

The private boat ramp (shared with the cottage next door) allows easy access to the beach at "minus tide". If you are looking for peace and quiet this is it! A multitude of wildlife live in this area: we have an Otter Family, a neighborhood Seal, Deer, Eagles, hawks, blue herons and more.
At low tide("minus tide") you can walk the sand for miles. Clamming, fishing and shell hunting are always fun too. Don't forget your camera as you may see the whales swim into the low waters right off the bulkhead(that is how we named our vacation home) at a medium high tide.

Year Purchased: 2006
Karen and Rick Neal: By way of Connecticut near the Long Island Sound we ended up in California (Disneyland area)over 30 years ago. I (Karen) am an active Realtor in Southern California since 1985 and my Husband Rick is a CFO looking for a new position, as many others are at this time; he is presently keeping busy with Day Trading from his home office. We enjoy water-related sports including scuba diving, boating,fishing, etc. Our son Ricky and wife Mckenzie(Micki) moved from Maui to Whidbey Island(they live nearby)which brought us up here to Clinton where we found our life-long dream of living directly on the water at "The Whale's Tale"; at least part time for now. The Unique Benefits of this House
In April of 2007 from our second story glass enclosed wildlife observatory (overlooking the Puget Sound) we saw a pair of whales approaching. We were visitied by a Mother Whale and her Yearling for over forty-five minutes while they were having a late breakfast on the local seafood in our shallow waters(we have seen whales yearly now). This amazing experience solved the dilemma of what to name our home for vacationers..."The Whale's Tale". Not only do we enjoy views of the Cascade Mountains, but also a variety of wildlife. Long walks on the beach always leads to discovery of some new interesting creatures. This past Winter season we had otters in our back yard, deer in the front, seals frolicking in the water plus schools of dolphin swimming by in the channel between us and Hat Island! Eagles, hawks, varieties of ducks and seabirds keep us entertained too...who needs our TV! With peace and quiet surrounding us, we settle down to nighttime enjoying the sparkling city lights across the expance of the Puget Sound.
